I have created a form in which I want the users to be able to add more context if need be on a second page. How do I set up the form to show a second page if needed?
We used SharePoint to keep our reviewed files. However, when clicking on 'Send for Shared Commenting, ' an error pops out as follows:Previously, we could send it out for review and commenting, but we suddenly encountered this problem. I need help from Adobe to resolve this issue. I appreciate any help you can provide.
Hello, Can anyone help me with my issue: For the Date Picker, I have option to fill out this field, either thru date picker or thru manual key in For Date Picker, there is no issue since the selected date is automatically formatted to 'dd mmm yyyy'. For Manual key-in, the user can input any other date format such as dd/mm/yyyy or dd-mm-yyyy, which I managed to handle and apply date format into 'dd mmm yyyy' however when you focus on the mouse inside the input field the value is still dd/mm/yyyy. I want to render the value (when the mouse is inside the field) into same as how it is displayed dd mmm yyyy. Manual key-inIf the mouse is away the field, it renders to the correct format But when you go back inside the field, it's still dd/mm/yyyy Thank you in advance for the help.
I've searched high and low for an answer to this, to no avail. Using Acrobat DC, I'm converting PDFs of various types of mechanical drawings to Word, and in some places on the pages the text is inexplicably cut off at the top or bottom (I'll try to attach screen shots). Is this something that can be remedied easily, or is it just a shortcoming of the software?
I'm trying to print a complex drawing with fine lines that are coming out too faint, so I need to use the Advanced Print Setup options, which are all grey'ed out.I have re-installed the Adobe Reader and restarted the computer, but it's still not available Please help,
Hi - I'm trying to figure out how to create a Named Destination, using the latest version of Acrobat DC. All the instruction I can find online (for example https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/link-html-pdf-page-acrobat.html?x-product=Helpx%2F1.0.0&x-product-location=Search%3AForums%3Alink%2F3.6.7) say to go to View >> Navigation Tabs >> Destinations, but that menu doesn't exist in my version.I need to be able to create destinations (like anchor tags) for links inside a .pdf , but I can't find this in Acrobat . I'm using Acrobat DC on Windows (Adobe CC). Anybody know how I can find this function? Thanks-Tom
Anyway to turn Adobe into a light-weight pdf reader? Looking for a lightweight, local-only PDF reader without telemetry, background processes, or account sign-in. I just want to open, read, edit, and sign PDFs without 500MB of support architecture. Thanks
I have this little pop up on documents that drives me bonkers. See picture:How do I remove it? This is incredibly frustrating. Any suggestions are appreciated.
We recently started requiring employee ID's on forms that we get sent for signature, which are in the format XX-###### (ex: FW-003781 or AH-940201). But even with a note that pops up over the text box saying to include the hyphen and all characters when filling it in, people STILL fill it out wrong. They either put only the numbers, or leave out the hypen, or if there are zeros in the first digits they leave them out. But since it contains letters, numbers and a symbol, I can't use the preset requirements. Is is possible to use the custom fill option to make them have to enter into the box 2 letters, hypen, 6 numbers and no other format be acceptable? If yes, what would the code or script entered in have to be in order to format it like the example ID number?
Whenever I create an Adobe Link, if the PDF already has comments that have responses/threads, it never transfers over all the comments in the web version. It only brings over the source/original comment.Any way of correcting this?
I have read through every post about this and they seem very similar to my issue however, I cannot, for my life, get a simple list of PDFs included in the left hand panel of Portfolio without the PDF icon. Oddly, I get the list that I would like if I change it to Top View from Portfolio Properties (see second image), but I want that view on the left. I have done this is Windows Explorer: Edit > Preferences > General.- I made sure the setting "Enable PDF thumbnail previews in Windows Explorer" was unchecked. I have done this is Portfolion Properties and tried F4 options. the options are in the next panel for that panel only. If someone has more than 4 assets in the portfolio, you can't see them all. I am sure and hopeful that I am missing something simple. THANK YOU in advance.
We have drawings that are 12" x variable length. Length can be over 1000". Uses a special fanfold paper. It took me quite a bit to figure out how to convert this from a DWF to a PDF using Adobe printing. But when I run the OCR, it cannot. Error says "Acrobat could not perform Text Recognition on this page because: The resolution of this page image is below the minimum of 72 dpi." I've played around with the settings so much I've not got to figure out how to reset back to default but have most definitely had resolution to 1200dpi. I'm at a loss right now and we have a lot of these files we'd like to convert to PDF. And that's tricky enough since PDFs didn't originally support file sizes this long. Any help much appreciated.
The "Alignment" button is grey out under "Objects"/"Edit PDF". I need to align the text box the the center of the page. Not align the text inside the text box. Is it possible?
Is there a way to generate a report showing what is in the Document Properties\Fonts tab? Or somehow export that info?I've been looking in the Print Production\Preflight Tool and I can generate a detailed report showing which pages have the missing fonts. Which is helpful and I use quite a bit, but not as clean of a list as whats in Document Properties\Fonts ie. list of Fonts, what type and if they are Embedded, Embedded Subset etc.
I am creating an application/onboarding PDF portfolio for new employees. The forms are fillable and require signatures on most pages. I want this to work for iPhones, Androids and desktop. I have tested it out on an iPhone and everything works perfect. When I sent it out to a friend with an Android phone she said she was able to fill out the forms but it wouldn't allow her to sign due to the documents security settings. I checked the security settings : protection -> security settings -> security -> security method : no security. As far as I can tell that this the only place to check for security settings. Has anyone run in to this or figured it out?
I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. When I scroll my mouse over the areas that need to be filled out, it allows me to click as if I should begin typing - however, when I type, nothing happens. I attached the pdf for reference. If anyone has any tips on how I can get this to work, please let me know!
I am putting a new SSD drive in my computer and rebuilding my Windows 10 system. I currently have a copy of Adobe Acrobat Standard DC loaded on the existing hard disk and need to deactivate it so I can reinstall on my new disk. It is listed as 2015 Release (Classic) | Version 2015.006.30279. I have installed the latest updates to this release so it is current.According to documentation, there should be a deactivate option under the Help menu. None appears. I've down a Help | Repair Installation and that did not correct the problem. So how do I deactivate this Acrobat Standard DC install?
I don't like that I have to ask what seem like such simple questions. Every time I think I understand some of it... doesn't seem to work out. I have an order form with a bunch of tables and total fields. At the top I have a drop down to select what the PaymentMethod is, and I have 3 read-only text fields for Subtotal, processing fee, and Total. I got a script to work on the Fee field. A fee is only applied if Credit Card or PayPal is selected from the PaymentMethod dropdown. Otherwise do nothing (leave the fee as 0). The Subtotal field uses the basic sum calculation (selected all the table Total fields and let Acrobat figure out the script). The Overall Total is set to be a simple sum of the Subtotal and Fee fields (selected the 2 fields and let Acrobat figure out the script). The problem is the Overall Total doesn't seem to update correctly. It might work the first time, but then I either change a value in a table row's total
I've shared a PDF file with my colleagues and they've been having issues viewing the comments. When they open the file on their desktop or app, the comments section shows a loading screen. They have updated Adobe to the latest version, but it has not solved the problem. They are also unable to view any edits they've made to the shared file.
Can someone tell me if Acrobat Pro (version 2025.001.20435) is supposed to be compatible with PDFs created by Adobe LiveCycle Designer 11.0? When I google I get mixed answers. We have some simple forms created in Adobe LiveCycle Designer 11.0 with basic textboxes and checkboxes and we want to use Acrobat to fill them in (not edit them). They don't have any fancy controls and, for the most part, they seem to be usable in Acrobat Pro, but occasionally, there will be a user who gets a warning message clicking around the various fields or worse, corrupts the PDF after saving it with the dreaded "Expected a dict object." I just want to know Adobe's official stance on this. Are they supposed to work in Acrobat Pro or are they officially not supported? Thanks,Rich
How do I insert a clear form or reset form button when creating a fillable form?
I've got an issue where a user is unable to fill out forms in Acrobat semi-frequently. There are occasional times where they can fill the forms out but then the form box turns a darker blue, and the option to fill out the form is greyed out.
I have an issue where Im trying to install Adobe Pro for an enterprise user, when i do the install for the full Adobe Pro when the user is on our VPN, it only loads Adobe Reader. The user can see they have a Pro license, but only Reader will load local on the machine. IF they want to access the full suite of features, they have to use the online version. When i bring that machine into our building, it loads all the way. Any suggestions?
