I am a longtime user of Acrobat for proofreading/commenting of book-length PDFs, meaning that I regularly have to work on PDFs that will have more than 300 comments. There are a number of frustrating issues with Acrobat but one that really bugs me is the uncertainty of whether the page up/page down keys will actually work and go to the previous/next page. Many times when I am done commenting on a page and want to advance to the next page, page down does not do anything. Sometimes I can hit the escape key and it will take me completely out of comment mode, and then page down works. Of course, the problem with that is now I have to use the mouse to activate commenting again. The idea is to minimize reaching for the mouse as much as possible. Why isn't there a hotkey for activating commenting?  I can't precisely replicate what happens, but it happens a lot. I think maybe the escape key stops being able to take me out of comment mode, and with the cursor in the comment colum

Hi there,As part of my job, I am performing tagging in Acrobat Pro. As I was checking my document in PAC2021, the error message 'Characters in a text object cannot be mapped to Unicode' showed itself. I've been trying to figure out how to make a custom fixup.I've watched a few vidoes, but can't get it to work.I'm trying to create a fixup that will allow me to make registration marks and color (100%C 100%Y 100%M 100%K) convert to 100% K only. I'm being charged color clicks on my machine for black pages that have all printer registration marks and color bars. I can't tell the fiery to only print black, because it then prints the color covers as black....so If I can make a custom fixup to convert Registration to 100% black, I think this will solve my issue. Thanks.

Hello, I would like to know if you can log in to Adobe Acrobat. I click on "Log in" and it just keeps loading and won't start. What can I do to fix this problem? 

Since update to MAC OS 15.3.2,PDF's no longer print.    I get this error message: "The document could not be printed" the second error message reads "There were no pages selected to print". 

I have a large number of systems with Adobe Acrobat DC installed on them and there are two Adobe services: Adobe Genuine Software Service (v 7.3.0.157)Adobe Genuine Software Integrity Service (v 7.3.0.157) That are running between 12% - 29% CPU usage for each of these services. This is eating up at least 20% of the CPU on these systems at it's lowest.Any ideas on how to correct this?  Is it safe to disable these services all together and just end the problem? Thank you  

Where can i find the Ink Density of a document in Acobat 2024?

This may be a bug or mistake, but on Adobe Acrobat Pro, I was using the "Comment" tool and all was well until it just changed to "Add comments". Now I don't get the awesome toolbar at the top of the screen (1st image that I took off of Adobe Acrobat Reader now that I had to download it).Instead, I have to use this stupid toolbar on the left side of the screen that is not intuitive at all. What could possibly have happened with my computer to change this tool? 

Hello, so one of our users uses the drag and drop feature within "organize pages" and occaisonally it will create this ghost image when dragging a singular pdf. Seems like the only way to fix the issue is to  shut down the computer.Made sure latest acrobat updates are installed. Any ideas? The user is on a Dell Optiplex 7090  running windows 10

How to deactivate ancienne installation? I didn't find the well known menu entry "Activate/Deactivate".Be so kind as to avoid the the new universe of monthly/yearly signed contracts. I will compose with a classic DSL for a long time. There won't be any sense for me to dream of a wunderful cloudy.Thank you so far.

A few days ago I began experiencing an error when attempting to redact documents, something I've been doing for many years with Acrobat without problems.  I received the following CMap error:When I check Document Properties->Fonts everything seems to be in order.  All fonts are embedded.I have been redacting these lab reports from the same labs for many years with no problems.  Now, even when I try to redact ANY document I get the same error.  For example, if I convert a Word file to PDF and try to redact it just to test out redaction, I get the same error. I checked Preflight and confirmed all fonts are embedded.I checked for "font problems" using Preflight found the following issues.However, even after "fixing" the problems using Preflight, I am still unable to redact and receive the same CMap error.  I have uninstalled Acrobat and reinstalled, ensuring it is updated and still receive the error when redacting.  I even wiped by mac's hard drive, reinst

Hi All,I have a user that uses Adobe Acrobat daily after being setup recently and needs the function of requesting signature. When viewing the tools on the dashboard of Adobe Acrobat we can see it available but we cannot find a way to add it into the quick tool or tool bar when in an open PDF. This is on a PC running Windows 11, up to date along with Adobe up to date. I have tried removing Acrobat and reinstalling, ensuring the language is correct on the system and still the same issue. Thanks

Hello, Please would somebody be able to assist me. I have downloaded a free trial of Adobe Acrobat Pro (creating, editing pdfs etc) for 7 days because i need to convert a word document into a pdf (that also has pdfs inside it so its hell to format) I cannot overstate the importance of this document.I have to upload this pdf to a database today. (TurnitIn) When my free trial expires when i cancel it, will i still be able to view the documents i have created using the free trial? i am planning to keep the free Adobe reader appliacation just without the pro stuff.Is there any way that the document would no longer be viewable after i uploaded it to TurnitIn? Please help me. Many thanksM.W

Acrobat has become impossibly slow.  It is taking 40 seconds or more just to open or close a small file.   I've repeatedly contacted Adobe for help.  Twice, tech support has uninstalled Acrobat and reinstalled it for me.  The "fix" lasts only a few days before the problem occurs again.  I am so angry about this that I have written twice to Adobe's CEO, hoping that he will refer the matter to someone who can provide a permanent fix.  I'm working in the older interface on a Mac, because the new interface is so horrible that I will never try it again.  Adobe did customers an extreme disservice by moving the tools and commands for the new interface.  It was so difficult to find anything that I couldn't get any work done.  

Hello, community. I have the latest Adobe Acrobat Pro version by subscription (Mac OS). I can't find any translation option inside the program. I really need to translate PDF files without changing the content (so Deepl or Google Translator doesn't work). Google says that Adobe Acrobat Pro version 2023.009.20042 has 3 different translation options including IA, but my version is 2023.006 and I don't see any update on Creative Cloud. Could anyone help me, please? Thanks!!

I and my users cannot convert PDF to word/excel in the app, the option shown as grey, even though we have purchased for Acrobat Standard. But we can only use it on a online convertor.

How do I remove a stored signature? Although I have used the stored image of my signature, most of the documents I sign for the organization I work for I just type in my name.I removed my stored signature image from it's previously used file location on my computer. Today I signed a document and suddenly the image of my signature pops into the field. It's never automatically filled in the signature field, if I wanted to use it I had to go get it.I have not intentionally stored the image of my signature anywhere in Adobe Acrobat, Reader or Cloud nor can I find it in any of those apps. I will no longer be working with this organization soon and don't want my signature available for anyone else to use. Thank you,Kelley C

Good Day allI have had 2 instances when Adobe Acrobat freezes when starting and whenever a file is opened. Here are some of the steps that I have tried to resolve the issue:- Reinstalled the app- Repaired the app (Did nothing)- Went to old adobe - Restarted Machine- Check network connections- Tried to update Program but get an Update failed message each time- Toggled off the Protected view at startup optionPlease let me what else I can do. My Acrobat is version 2025 and the language is Chinese. I want to paste Russian text into the PDF, but after each paste, the font changes to "Adobe Song typeface std L". Then when I want to change it to Arial or Times New Roman, it prompts me "Some characters in the font you selected are not available, please try choosing another font". I need help

I am looking for an efficient way to "Fit to Page" on the new Adobe reader. Luckily there is a way to do what that button from Adobe Reader DC did: Click the View icon (bottom right below rotate button), Click Fit height, Click the View icon again, Click Enable scrolling. So now instead of accomplishing this using an icon at the top with a single click, it requires 4 clicks and navigating a small menu twice. Is there any way to set the default view to accomplish this more easily? Old Version: Adobe Reader DCNew Version: Adobe Acrobat Reader 2025.001.20435 | 64-bit Thanks!

For the past two weeks I have been trying to trouble shoot two users who are unable to sign documents with a smart card certificat or save PDF documents. what I have tried so far is as follows I have ensured they are using the most current version of Adobe Acrobat DCI have ensured there copy is active using acrobat distillerI have repaired installationI have attempted to save documents as a optimized PDF recieved a cannot save error 105I attempted to print to PDF recieved a cannot save error 105I attempted to extract pages and save, same errorI cleared the local cacheI cleared the certificat cacheI ensured FIPS was off in registry and double checked in local policy At this point I am not sure what else to try.

Recently I have downloaded Aadhaar from uiadi. gov. in and opened in Adobe Acrobat to validate the signature. I could successfully validate the signature, but couldn't save the validated Aadhaar.
