Hi I am trying to figure out a way to help automate a header process. Below is my header that I want to create. As you can see, the center and part of the right column I want to make dynamic to reference the folder name and the first part of the file name. New to this- from what i have researched this seems possible using a set of guided actions that incorporates javascripts. Overall I want to click 1 action and have acrobat do the following:1. Flatten PDF2. Shrink PDF contents so that adding header does not interfere with contents, maintains uniform margins across all files.3. Add custom header as shown below4. Save PDF Would be even better if I can select multiple PDFs to all run at the same time.  All my file names have a "_" after the fixture type which should help when creating a script to retrieve the partial file names.

Desperate for help here. Adobe is the root cause of deep frustrations. I bought Adobe Acrobat Pro 2022 with a lifetime license in November of 2024. Have been using it with no issues until two days ago. I use it HEAVILY for my business to make updates for quotes for my customers. It's a simple > click edit > move some boxes and images around > print as a pdf > done. Well suddenly it isn't allowing me to do that, it is for some reason not allowing me to just click and hold and drag the cursor over to just "grab" everything within the selected window. It is like recognizing every individual "box" or text and I can only move what it's recognizing. And, the box for "recognize text" is un-checked. How the heck to fix this so I can do what I was doing before?! This leads me to my next issue which at the moment is the more problematic one.. I thought - well maybe I need to update adobe. I ran the update, it completes, and now the dumb thing is telling me I don't have an active

Hi,My problem is that my brand fonts somehow doesn't want to convert from power point to acrobat when saving from:- Save As (pdf)- Export (pdf) I have also tried the embedding and nothing. Only when tryeing to print and then save as pdf the font stays right but large white frames appear around the slide (16:9). I'm using MacbookPro and everything is uptodate so that's not the issue. I have downloaded the font from my adobe creative cloud and all the versions of the font can be used in Power Point. What to do? I love this font and would be so shame to change it into something else. In my daily work it's needed to wrap the client presentation into pdf format to be sent via email. I would love any kind of help! I am in Acrobat Pro 2017I have forms I have to fill out from different schools and organizations to register our officers.  Sometimes the fillable fields change font size as the text I enter fills the box.  But sometimes the font size doesn't change.  Also, sometimes it doesn't change systematically. So for example: I have 3 phone number fields.  I've entered 3 different phone numbers in the exact same format.  But each of these fields end up being a different size.  I am trying to edit the text I enter in the fillable fields but I can't figure out how to do that.  I read in a comment from a year ago that said to go to edit form and right click on a form field.  All that did was allow me to edit the existing form fields not the fillable form fields. I also would like to ask if there is a way to have certain form fill fields be saved while still having certain form fill fields that I can fill out each time I enter a new officer.  I'd like to

I have a document which I have pdf but the margins are 25mm in the print setting and I cannot chnage them.  I have given the oringin document 0mm margins but the pdf print margins I cannot change.  Does anyone know how to do this please?  Thank you 

Have a form with calculations and currency codes, but the currency codes do NOT actually pull in any live data, they are there merely to indicate what currency is being used.We need a way to manually enter the currency code being used in one position on the form and then have it update everywhere else in the document OR using a dropdown, choose the currency code and then have that update/change the currency code wherever it appears (see attached).Any ideas?Never done any scripting so if that is involved will need some very simple step by step instructions please.Thanks in advance!

I have a pdf with a valid signature (written with my own routines). Adobe says "valid".If I add another signature, the Adobe acrobat (newest version) shows first sig invalid.My verification says "valid", Foxit-Reader says "valid", the DSS Demonstration WebApp page from the EU says "valid".So, what can cause the "invalid"-info in Adobe?The pdf was created with libreoffice writer 7.4The xref of the original pdf is not segmentedI didn't make any changes between the signaturesThe first signature don´t use restrictions (DocMDP, etc), also the pdf didn'tIf I click "view signed version" and the report I got some issues (see picture)Can someone give me a hint/ where I need to look at?Bernd

Hi! I have a question regarding Adobe Acrobat Reader toolbar settings. I know I can configure my own toolbar however I want to, e.g., adding a "Previous View" button for easy access to that command. Is there a way to include in an individual PDFs settings that whenever someone opens my PDF with Adobe Acrobat Reader, they will see the "Previous View" button on their toolbar by default? (Even if they haven't added it to their toolbar themself). I know that I can add a "Previous View" button directly onto the PDF itself by using Adobe Pro and completing the following steps: Tools > Interactive Objects > Add Button. But this is not the solution I'm looking for. I want to know if there's a way to add a permanent "Previous View" button on the toolbar of everyone using Adobe Reader to view my PDF. 

In vielen PDF Programmen gibt es direkt einen Button für Textfelder mit Rahmen und dann auch extra mit Füllung. Bei Adobe verzweifle ich, es gibt ja gar kein Textfeld wo ich einen Rahmen formatieren kann. Ich kann nur einen Kasten ringsrum Zeichnen, aber der sitzt meist nicht mittig. Gibt es eine Lösung, ist meine meiner schon schwach für so ein teures Programm

Every time (probably) I start computer I notice Adobe Update service is running lengthy (a lot of bytes read) file reading and probably doing updating (not sure).I know about disk activity because I checked it several times via windows resource monitor.I do like ability to view pdfs. So I do not want to uninstal adobe reader yet. However - runing lengthy disc scans is not acceptable.Adobe please either fix your update process to run no more than once per month, or give us simple option to disable updates at all. I did found on this forum claim about option to do clean reinstall of everything with some command line parameters. It is not a real option - (even in case if it works since it is not offical answer).By the way, as of obvious causes - I do not believe I have virus. I do have computer enginiering daily job - so I do believe I report what is actualy happening and not imagined situation.  I do believe it impacts a lot of users - nobody is complaining because it is freeware af

Hi all, By default when I select Send file by email in Acrobat, using my default mail app (Outlook), it opens a new email window in Outlook but I have 3 issues with it:1. The "new email" Outlook window cannot be minimized2. It "locks" the Acrobat and Outlook windows, they can't be interacted with while the "new email" window is open3. By default, it opens the "new email" window in Plain Text format The biggest issue I have is that I am accustomed to dragging and dropping other attachments from within Outlook into the new email window, and I can't do that because the Outlook window becomes locked.It works fine for File Explorer so I can work around it by saving said attachments but I'd like to minimize how many steps I need to take, and I have another PDF editor software that already does a better job with this. Does anyone know if there's a way I can change the functionality of the "Send file by email" button to meet my needs?

I created a fillable PDF with the Prepare Form and need it to print without the text box lines.  Is there any way to get rid of the lines when the form is ready to be printed?

I have a form where I want an answer in lateralside1 but the decision of what types into this field is from text 23. IF Text23 is <0 I want Right in Lateralside 1 and if >0 then I want the word Left. I tried this script but it didn't work.  Any one know what I am missing? I have enabled thumbnails in Adobe under preferences but I still do not get thumbnail previews in Explorer in Windows 10??  Is there something else I need to do?  

In Acrobat's Advanced Print Setup, under Marks and Bleeds, why can't I select Trim Marks and Page Information? This started about a week ago. I've used this feature for years to print soft proofs.

Was hab ich denn dann gemacht?Zweitens, wenn ich jetzt eine PDF-Datei öffne, muss ich mich bei Adobe anmelden, musste ich vorher nicht, wenn ich das Fenster schließe, schließt auch die PDF-Datei, wie kann ich das Rückgäng machen?

I got the default email set (webmail) and everything looks okay.  When I click on the envelope to email a file, the window pops up and then disapears quickly and at the bottom it shows the "Connecting Socket" message and then that disappears and then there's nothing.  The window to enter the recipient's address just flashes quickly and nothing happens, then the socket message comes up and goes away.  Every time. What is wrong and how can I fix this?  

Acrobat today is designed by children.  Why can i not cut a part of one page and insert it into another page.  You know something professionals do every day.  It is like Adobe let thier infant children decide what the program should be.
