I want to have a text field, "MA", with an initial value typed into it ("10"). When a seperate checkbox is checked ("CRITICAL1"), I want the value in MA to be halved ("5"). The script I wrote does that, but I'd also like those changes to revert when the box is unchecked. As it works now, unchecking the box does not change MA back to 10 from 5, and a subsequent recheck would halve MA again to sqrt(5).The script below is a fix I tried to implement, where I multiply by 2 when the box is unchecked to cancel out the halving, but I've ran into a different problem where the initial number I input into MA is doubled from the start (e.g. when filling out MA for the first time, I write "10" and it becomes "20"). It's important to the document that MA works with any input, not just the one's I've used in my example. Earlier version of Acrobat allowed you to add any of the zoom or view tools to the quick access toobar.  I am running Acrobat Pro DC Ver 2018.0011.00238 for desktop PC, and cannot figure out how to do this.  The Marquee Zoom is not listed in any of the tools categories, there is no "Show Select & Zoom" category, and right clicking marquee zoom in the menu dropdown only activates it temporarily--it does not show up on the quick tools bar.Any suggestions?  Zoom tools are such basic and useful functions it boggles me that they are not either on the toolbar by default, or easily added.  There is not even a shortcut key for it.

Hello Community, I thought this would be an easy thing to do in Acrobat but so far I am finding it is not. I am creating a PDF from multiple files, they are jpegs, and I am dragging and dropping them into the "combine files" window in the order I want them to be displayed. However Acrobat reverses this order as you put them in and then gives you no chance to switch the order. It gives you the option to move the order one by one (which is nearly impossible when the jpeg titles are img1824, img1623, etc.) so they other option is to add the files I want backwards, which my brain can not do, I like to work forwards, not backwards nor should I have to. So once I create this backwards PDF, isn't there a way to just reverse the order of the pages? any help is appreciated. e~

I want to add a link to one page but it will show on every page?How do I do it like the picture I gave? Tell me the procedure please! I want that link will jump you in the page of "Table of Contents"It needs hours of time to add same link to all pages of the PDF.To add "Table of Contents" to every page of a 700-800 page PDF file separately is quite impossible. Again please!❝I want to know how to add a link to one page but it will show on every page. Hi,When I am editing a doc in my mac and want to add a new text box or checkmark , the resulting text is white. I can't change it in the edit menu. I then followed online instructions for changing the default font (Acrobat: preferences:content editing: font options) and for changing defaul color (Acrobat: preferences: accessibility: document colors options: use high contrast colors: black text on white) No effect. Tried saving and closing and reopening. Still white font. What do I do? Thank you for suggestions. 

My Acrobat keeps opening as reader. I am logged in and all my other Adobe applications are working as expected.

I am trying to modify actor contracts sent to me from an affiliated organization that a third party needs to sign once we have drafted the contract details. We are prompted to enter an Employment Agreement Number each time we open one of these contracts, which is fine because we are the employer. The problem arises when the third party tries to open the pdf and can't because they cannot access our EAN. How do we disable this so that the third party can open the contract and e-sign without needing to enter the EAN?

I am working on a questionaire I opened from a link on a reliable email.  I was able to fill and sign a couple of days ago but today when I tried to open to continue the work, I got the following error message:The operation could not be completed as Acrobat Pro doesn't have permission to access: ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Mail Downloads/959F9A7A-03C7-4F62-AC92-A10E8B1593B0/.Launch privacy settings to grant access?I opened privacy settings, think I have the appropriate ones marked as ok but still can't open my document.  Help!

I have a document with a javascript to populate fields. You select an option from the dropdown. The script then populates multiple text boxes with text. I want to duplicate the drop downs many times. However when i select make multiple copies it duplicates the field. But the drop down populates the same boxes not the field below.  this is what happens when you select from the drop down it populates the qty. descriptin, as well as the weight when i create multiple copies of the drop down this is what happens:it only changes the top row of qty, description,and weight. now if i create a new drop down instead of creating multiple copies it populates the second qty description and weight.basically the only way i know of to fix this issue is to add a new drop down manually then input all of the drop down fields. The issue with this is i have many pages of drop downs. So this will be like 100 times i have to do this or more. Plus there is around 100 entries on each dr

os comento hay usuarios que se le instala por ejemplo el adobe reader 32 este se upgradea y al final de todo acaba siendo adobe acrobat y luego pide registro que le pulsas la X y en principio ya no lo vuelve a pedir.luego instalas el adobe reader 64 este se actualiza y desconozco el porque en el escritorio ves que acaba apareciendo adobe acrobat,, y pide validarse. y vuelve a salir el registro.hay algun tipo de version de adobe reader que no dé problemas y sea una version estable y que no se upgrade a adobe acrobat, y luego como realizar una desinstalacion limpia del producto.ya me decis y muchas graciaspero es cierto que tarda muchisimo en abrir cualquier documento y estamos experimentando muchos problemas.

Hallo zusammen,folgendes Problem: ich habe sehr große PDF Dateien, die auf jeder Seite einen Namen stehen haben, der entfernt werden soll. Geht das irgendwie, dass ich es automatisiert auf alle Seiten wegbekomme? Oder muss ich jede einzelne Seite das Textfeld rauslöschen ? Es ist immer derselbe Name der raus soll ...Danke im Voraus ! 

Indexing some folders with pdf's or the whole disk no longer possible, get error message files can't be opened.  Reading the help pages is suspect the names of the folders are to long? I already checked 'compatibilteit withe ISO ... afdwingen' but no result.What to do? All the maps om my Mac have names with more then 8 letters .... Jan Peelaerts

When trying to create multiple PDFs from files, I keep getting an error message saying "Missing PDFMaker files". I am using Windows 10 and Acrobat Pro DC.I have tried reinstalling it, re-enabling Adobe PDF Maker addin in excel and word but nothing seems to have worked.It appears to be failing at the initial stage and is unable to open the original document to be converted.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks

I'm creating a standard application form in Adobe Acrobat Pro that will be filled out by a staff member and signed by an applicant on the same laptop. I need to create a Digital Signature Field that only accepts a true signature, drawing or using a digital signature "pad". The signature field should not allow typed text; it must enforce an actual signature. I tried all the different options in adobe; but I either end up being able to just type text in the signature box; or have to create an entire digital ID; or have to use request e-signatures via email; which i don't want.Goal:I need a signature field that requires a proper signature (drawn) without allowing any typed text. Ideally, I want to save this form as a reusable template on my laptop so that I can open it, fill it out with each new applicant, and have them sign directly on the same device.Question:How can I set up a non-typable Digital Signature Field in Adobe Acrobat Pro that enforces a real signature and does not allo

This week my Adobe Acrobat stopped opening at all showing the following message... 'A running instance of Acrobat has caused an error' I tried all of the solutions on the Adobe website with no luck. By coincidence, I had another software package with an issue that advised me to uninstall Office. I uninstalled Office, Acrobat, and my other software package. After reinstalling Acrobat and my other package, Acrobat was working fine. As soon as I installed Office, Acrobat stopped working again. Is this something anyone else has experienced? is there a solution? Please Help. 

I was having trouble with my computer not baing able to handle editing architect's drawings in the online pdf editor SO I BOUGHT A NEW COMPUTER!! I now have an i7 processor and a RTX 4060 graphics card. Plenty powerful enough. And guess what? I still can't edit pdf documets online because I get two error messages.When I first load the drawing into the editor I get:'Please wait while edit is being prepared' - blue pop up at bottom of pageAnd then:'Page is unresponsive' - popup at top of the pageIt's like the computer is still struggling to process the document. I then have no other option but to close the page having failed to edit any drawing which is what I'm paid to do by my work. Anyone have any ideas as to how I can access the online pdf editor with my powerful new computer so I can do my work?!

I am trying to convert PDF file to a PDF/A. I went through the steps that ADOBE Acrobat recommended but I get the following message abou the parameters.  I tried to use the print to the PDF/A but same error message.  It is a Preflight Error saying the parameter is incorrect.  It cannot copy file C:\ProgramFiles (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\plug-ins\Preflight\OutputIntent\CoatedFOGRA39.pdf  ,  C:\Users\a2210\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\Preflight Acrobat Continuous\OuputIntent\CoatedFOGRA39.pdf: The parameter is incorrect.  I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro version 2023.001.20064.      

I have a table with text form fields in the Header Row. When I click on the whole table tag, it looks like it is tagged, as seen here: Unfortunately, when I click on that Table Row and all the Table Header tags in the Accessibility Tags panel, those form fields are not there.The form fields are anchored inside the table, and the table is in the Articles Panel in inDesign.This table flows to the next page, so the Header Row automatically appears there too. Could this be why the text form field isn't tagged? What am I doing wrong? 

I have a large file - over 20K - pages and need to extract pages which contain specific text.  It's OCR'd but is there a quicker and more efficient way of extracting documents vs. doing a search for that text and extracting one page at a time?

How do i redirect customers to our website after they sign a document? 

Hello! On my document I have sections. Each section has a text header followed by interactive text boxes.  When all text boxes are not used in the largest section (there are 8 interactive text boxes in the section) I want the sections that follow to move up to minimize gaping white space between the sections on that page. In the larger section, I have checkboxes that when selected auto populate into the interactive text fields within the largest section. If only 4 checkboxes are selected, only 4 of the 8 interactive text fields will populate. When less than 8 selections are used, I want to minimize the space between the larger section and the ones that follow.  Is it possible to "scoot up" the sections that follow automatically to minimize the white space? Thank you so much for your help!

Hi I am looking for some help with Javascript in relation to validation around birth dates.I have a form and want to ensure that a user does not select the current years calendar from the Date Field when they select their birth date, the user will be older than 18 years preferably and I tried to use the following which I found on a website, but it comes up with an error. var today = new Date(); var selectedDate = new Date(this.value); if (selectedDate > today) { app.alert("Please select a past date."); return false; }Is someone able to assist?Thanks Nicole
