Hi all! I am working on compressing a PDF and I found the area that shows me the Audit Space Usage and the percentages of each. I am looking for more information about what each category is and if there is overlap between them. This is to help me know which areas of the PDF I can work to reduce size in. Particular areas I am not sure about are content streams, structure info, and document overhead, but if anyone has more info on what ALL of the categories consist of that would be amazing!Thanks! 

Hi esteemed forum members:I am a new user and would appreciate any help/guidance.I have six drop down boxes (Choice1, Choice2..Choice6), each containing same list of 100 fruits. A user can select only one fruit from a drop down box and can, in total, select up to 6 fruits. My ask is how can I display the count of number of fruits selected (it could be a Java script or any other function).  Clarification: total fruits selected may range from one to six and the users may select same fruit from all boxes (i.e., a user may select one apple or six oranges or one watermelon and one raisin ).Would appreciate any help.

We started seeing this Save error on 12/30/24 with no change on our end other than keeping Adobe Acrobat Pro and Reader up to date with current version (2024.005.20320 64-bit). Our network share is DFS but testing done on non-DFS storage doesn't exhibit this issue nor does local storage. Users get the following messages and error when they click the save diskette icon insead of the save just taking place:Confirm Save As: Name.pdf already exists. Do you want to replace it? (Yes/No)Adobe Acrobat: The document could not be saved. Cannot save to the filename. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.Followed by the Save As screen with a random filename ending in .tmp.I understand that turning off Enhanced Security in Acrobat is the fix for this but that's not going to happen. The two imput boxes are monthly income and # of people. I need to muliply the monthly income by 12 to get the annual. Then i need to take the (number of people - 1) * 5500+15650. Then it needs to divide the annual number/the second equation. Then it needs to be turned into a percentage.

After opening the Output Preview window I moved it accidentally and now I can't see or find it anymore. In Acrobat Pro DC Preferences, the last item in the list should be Updater. For one of our users, this item is not there. Similarly, in the Help menu, 'Check for Updates...' isn't there. The Creative Cloud app also said Acrobat was up to date, but it wasn't – it was two versions old. I got around this by using CC to uninstall and then reinstall Acrobat, so the latest version (2021.007.20099) is now installed. However, the Updater option (and Check for Updates...) are still missing. Before reinstalling I tried quitting Acrobat, removing the com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro.plist file from ~/Library/Preferences and then relaunching, but it didn't make any difference. Any help would be appreciated. Using macOS 11.6.

I'm trying to create a pitch document that has a embedded video of an app user flow. It''s H.264 mp4 exported from Premier Pro and it's 22mb.When I click to activate, enable the trust prompt, and it goes to play it says "connecting" "ready" and nothing happens, just a black box.I've tried embedding in Acrobat, and exporting through Indesign.I've tried my desktop and laptop.Miraculously it worked once on my laptop, and then I closed acrobat, and tried it again, and black box! Honestly, are you telling me that in 2021 I can't play an embedded video in a presentation? Adobe?

Hey Peeps,  I have come to this wonderful community many times for answers with great success. I have another one for you.  I'm working on an assessment PDF with 6 categories. Each of these categories have it own letters that the assessment selections can add up to when people click a checkbox. On the left and right column the letters each add up and populate at the bottom of the columns and then a line below that, there is the grand total for each corresponding letter. These grand totals also populate in text fields Total, Total_2, Total_3, Total_4, Total_5, and Total_6 I'm attaching the document for you to all see. What I need to do is:1) Have each of the corresponding text fields (Total, Total_2, Total_3, Total_4, Total_5, Total_6) have their own letter values (in this case each corresponding text box would go as follows: RIASEC).2) Then I need to be able to have the top 3 highest values from the 6 text fields (Total, Total_2, Total_3, Total_4, Total_5,

I've been trying to create a pdf and am having no end of grief trying to manage the constant repositioning of images and text. I've looked at multiple forums for solutions and, yes, looked for possible solutions in Adobe itself but to no avail.I've tried to find a way of turning off scan optimization but can't find anything near that. I've turned off the text box that some have suggested and it still keeps misbehaving.This is the most frustrating experience ever. Why am I paying you for this when it's impossible ti=o use?Is anyone else having this isue and/or found a ework around?

I am trying to enter cents in the W-2 file but cannot get the decimal point to work.I am in Editing mode and the program simply chimes when I attempt to enter a decimal point.IThe field defaults to a number ending in .00 and chimes a warning when I attempt to enter a decimalHELP PLEASE! 

I frequently need to repaginate .pdf documents when the content I need begins partway down one page and goes only a few inches onto the next.  I would love to be able to do it without literally printing the two pages, then cutting, pasting and rescanning.  Surely there must be a way to get the desired content onto one page without incurring the quality losses of my manual method.  Thanks for your assistance.  

Hello, I have a pdf with form fields that popupates dynaic text and an image to create and ID badge. Due to print requirements, the pdf needs to be rotated for the final printing. The text fileds rotate fine but the image does not. Has anyone had any luck correcting this? I have read that Acrobat isn't reading the exif data correctly. Any info would be great.  

I am using the 64-bit version of Abode Acrobat Standard. My subscription was recently changed by my workplace from the professional version, so I believe the version I am running should be fully up to date.When I open files, regardless of whether they are opened directly in Acrobat, or opened by double-clicking in file explorer, it will sometimes take upwards of 30 seconds to a minute to open the file. There is no consistency between large or small files, recently opened or first time opening, nothing. It could take 30 seconds to open a single-page, 100 KB file that I just had opened the day before, but then open a 100-page, 3 MB, freshly downloaded file immediately.All of my searching for solutions online have come up with nothing. This is a recent issue, starting within the past couple of months.

Hello all, I've done some hunting, but I can't seem to find answer for my question. (If it's been answered elsewhere, I'd appreciate a link). I'm working on a PDF with dropdown menus that determine the text in corresponding text fields. For all but the first field, it is working correctly. If it the dropdown menu is blank, the text field is blank. If the dropdown option moves to 2, the text field changes to .25. When the dropdown changes back to blank, the text field changes back to blank. For all except the very first box. Desde el día 13 de enero de 2025, me es imposible desde la pestaña editar, poder copiar y pegar texto en otro documento. He probado con varios documentos distintos y he desinstalado y vuelto a instalar acrobat 

Buenos días,  desde hace 5 días estoy teniendo dificultad con la opción LECTURA DE VOZ del aplicativo. Muestra como intenta descargar la voz , pero luego de un buen tiempo , sale error de descarga de voz , intente otro idioma. He puesto las dos opciones del idioma que deseo ( español) , pero sigue sin poder descargar . Su apoyo por favor,  ya que soy una per5con problemas de visión, y esa opción me ayudaba muchísimo.  Muchas gracias 

Hi everyone,I am currently troubleshooting an issue with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2015 (Version 2015.006.30033), and I am confused about how updates work in this version.I have confirmed that bUpdater is set to 0 in the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\2015\FeatureLockDown\Services), which should disable automatic updates.However, I noticed that the Adobe Acrobat Update Service (AdobeARMService.exe) is running in the background.Despite the service running, Acrobat Reader is not updating automatically.I manually checked Help > Check for Updates, and updates are not being installed automatically.My questions are:Does the 2015 Classic Track support automatic updates, or does it only receive manual updates?Why is the update service running if updates are disabled via bUpdater = 0?Is there any way to enable automatic updates for this version, or is upgrading to a Continuous Track version required?Any insights from the community or Adobe experts would be

For the past month or two, everytime I try to print a file from Adobe Acrobat, I get a dialogue box pop up from Distiller with the message. "Acrobat Distiller would like to access data from other apps." I am unable to print the file until I hit allow on that dialogue box. Not only is this annoying, but it seems to take additional time to print anything as Distiller seems to be loading in the background before this pop-up appears.  I am running the latest version of Adobe Acrobat CC and Distiller on a Mac running the latest OS.

been going on for a while , takes like  an inch on each print very annoying i used to think it was the printer, got a new printer , and just noticed WORD doesnt do that NO idea how to remove it  please help   

About 6 months ago, I have noticed that intermittently I lose the ability to copy text from PDF forms and paste that text into other programs (e.g. InDesign, or renaming file, etc). I regain the ability to copy and paste if I close Acrobat and reopen it. It will happen several times again, and is becoming quite frustrating because my whole job is copying text from PDF forms to populate my design work. This happens with both Acrobat Pro and Reader. All my applications are up to date, and all my Windows updates are good to go. Is this something anyone else has experienced? Is there a fix? Thanks in advance for any help!

Moving from Acrobat to ABCD community

I have  Adobe Acrobat Export PDF, Creative Cloud, a paid subscription.When I went to use it today after 10 months of not using it, I was asked to upgrade. I said no. I saw that it allowed me to have Acrobat on my desktop rather than online so I downloaded that. What a mess. The download failed saying I didn’t have rights. Now, when I open a pdf on my computer, it gives me the ad to upgrade to Adobe Pro. When I click the ad away, the pdf also goes away.The online Acrobat is terrible to use. The download capability is hidden. So unfriendly. I used to be able to do a lot of things but those options are now part of Adobe Pro.How do I fix the pdf opening up to the ad?

Using Acrobat PRO DC, Windows 10 PRO, Eizo 27" monitor 2560 x 1440, Windows scaling 200% Until recently the scaling of PDF files and the scaling of the Acrobat windows (e.g. Preferences) were more or less correct. After an update the scaling of PDF files is still correct. But the size of the text in the various Acrobat windows (and buttons) is very small. I hardly can read it. Please fix this, otherwise Acrobat is useless for me.   

I would like to get rid of the empty space in the crop tool.  I did it before on another PC, but cannot find out how to do it.  Been searching for awhile and I guess I have not entered the right search word.
