When choosing the option "Replace Document Colors" Acrobat always fills in the active (blinking cursor) text field with black. The user cannot see what they are typing, and they do not want to change their text to white just to be able to see. Users here like to change their background to yellow. This has worked fine in Acrobat Pro 9, 10, and 11. But since upgrading to Acrobat Pro DC 17, the users can no longer change their background color because it blacks out their textfields as they are typing. After deselecting a text field, it no longer is filled with black. Only when editing a field does it turn black and unreadable. Anyone having similar issues?Thanks

I have a fillable PDF and I want to modify the form fields  so that I can auto populate data from an excel file. I have a data sheet that needs entering each month and, if I can get this set up correctly, it will save me a lot of time! There are a total of 7 rows on the excel file and, each month there would normally be no more than 20 columns. I've got as far as 'preparing a form' in adobe acrobat - I've tried changing a couple of form fields and then importing data from the Excel file but it's not working and I can't work out what I'm doing wrong.Any help would be greatly appreciated! 

it takes acrobat 5 minutes to open a pdf file online that I can download in literally two seconds. Is there a way to get this trash app to function properly or is the acrobat exention just straight garbage like  adobe AI and a dozen other aspects of this trash software? And also, could someone remind me why I'm paying for this substandard garbage?

I have a current version of Acrobat Pro but it will not convert CAD files to PDF.It brings up a notice saying file not convertable with 64 bit version.Can anyone help?

I received a message that my software is illegal. I uninstalled anything but Adobe Acrobat.Acrobat Uninstaller says that by uninstalling I lose my documents.What I can do. Is there any free version?

In acrobat pro, I experience misleading information when I check whether a pdf is compatible with the PDF/A standard.At the top of acrobat, there is information that the pdf file complies with the PDF/A standard.In preflight, the result is that the file is not compatible with PDF/A.At the same time, I see that some other programs conclude that it is a PDF/A pdf.Can someone explain to me why I am getting such different information.

Since upgrading to CC a couple of years ago I've noticed that the progress bar in Distiller no longer functions. Progress always sits resolutley at Status: Ready / 0%, regardless of the size of the job to be processed.  Reading the log just isn't doing it for me - why can't there be some kind of obvious visual feed back within Distiller that your job is processing?

Hello, all.  My client's user is having an issue with Adobe Acrobat.  When she creates a document with a cover page then saves the document, the formatting of the cover page is really messed up.  Please see the attachment.  Not being personally familiar with Acrobat, I am uncertain what to look into to find and resolve this issue.  Can anyone advise, please?

I'm reading a PDF in Adobe Acrobat. I'm trying to highlight sections of text. I can select normal text, but if there is an apostrophe or quotation mark within the string of text I am trying to select, Adobe refuses to select the word with the apostrophe or the word next to the quotation mark. For example, if there is a sentence "Spot ran fast" Adobe will select all the words with no issues. But if the sentence reads "Spot's run was fast" Adobe refuses to select the word "Spot's" because it has an apostrophe within it. Similarly, if there is a sentence "Spot liked the 'Best dog' brand of dog bed" Adobe refuses to select the words 'best dog' because they have quotation marks next to them.  How do I fix this? I have checked the document's Security Properties and Document Assembly and Page Extraction are not allowed, but Content Copying, Commenting, Filling of form fields, and Signing are. 

I've created a fillable form with a few of the dropdowns running off a custom keystroke script. See attached. The dropdowns in question are under the power and strength categories. The scripts work in Acrobat on my computer but don't work when the PDF is opening in the app on an iPad or iPhone. Any suggestions for why? I've attached the PDF as well as a video of what's happening in the app.

OK, I have a really annoying bookmark problem that I can't seem to solve.I'm on a Mac using Adobe Acrobat Pro version 24.005.20393 and Google Chrome version 130.0.6723.92.In Google Docs, let's say I create a document with a title, a couple of headings, some text, etc.I choose File > Download > PDF Document (pdf.). The PDF file gets created, no problem.The PDF file has bookmarks in it generated based on the structure of the document. Also, no problem.Now, let's say for some reason, I want to remove the bookmarks.I go into the bookmark pane, select all the bookmarks, and hit delete.All the bookmarks go away. Great, right?Not so fast...I save and close the "bookmarkless" document.I then reopen the "bookmarkless" document and, lo and behold, the first bookmark is back.I delete it but Acrobat doesn't "register" the delete; in other words, when I go into the File menu, Save is greyed out, like Acrobat is saying, "Hey, there's no reason to save this documen

I have an Excel spreadsheet that prints into a pdf fine and when combined with others will print blank or fail when a watermark is applied.  I tried printing from Excel to pdf, applying the watermark and printing before combining and it still prints blank or fails.  PDF is flattened, optimized, etc. and will not print with a watermark.  All other pages in the PDF print fine with the same watermark and they were also created with Excel, Word, AutoCAD, etc.  Any ideas?

Hello,   I have a brand new laptop with Windows 11 Pro (Version 22H2, OS build 22621.1778, Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22642.1000.0).    I have a fresh install of Adobe Acrobat Reader (Continuous Release - 2023.003.2021 64-bit).    However, even after setting up and tweaking settings, the thumbnail image previews displays a black square (with the Adobe squiggle in the bottom righthand corner).      The thumbnail image previews works for the View setting of Large or Extra Large icons, but not for Medium view, or below.        Q.  Is this correct?  This used to work in Windows 10 (Medium view for folders shows a preview image of the file).   Thank you.

Hello,For business purposes, I need to install a plugin provided by Afnor.But since it was installed, Acrobat no longer launches.To solve the problem, I had to delete the plugin.Is there a solution to have this plugin installed and be able to open Acrobat?Thanks in advance.

When I do an extract in Adobe Pro, I get two popup windows that open asking if I want to delete the document or keep it?  Is there a way to stop one of the windows from opening.  As soon as I click on the box to delete the document the second box disappears.  Is there a preference I can set to always delete on an extract?

When I click on an item in the panel and choose "delete selected items structure" nothing happens and the item remains.   Further, I also need to change some of the tags, but when I choose a "tag as.." from the dropdown the item remains tagged as is.   Please provide any tips to allow me to delete items and change tags.

I want those checking check box to have the ability to uncheck a box (or radio button). For instance, if there's a question that says, "If you checked "yes" to 8a above, skip question 8b," but someone accidentally checks the radio button in 8b, how do they get BOTH radio buttons unchecked. Right now, there are two radio buttons for each statement -- one for yes, one for no. One can click "yes" and then change their mind and click "no" and "no" is checked and "yes" is unchecked. HOWEVER, I find no way to uncheck BOTH once one or the other has been checked. How can that be done? Thank you. jgb

I want to make a batch action to convert a lot of files to PDF/A at once. I have the new version of Adobe Pro 64bit and had to revert to the old interface. My colleagues have the old version of Adobe Pro and PDF/A it is an option for them in Action Wizard. For me it isn't. Any advice how I can do this task? Thanks

I have a subscription to the full Creative Cloud Suite. On 4/15/2023,  Acrobat automatically updated to v. 2023.001.20143 (Mac OS Ventura 13.2.1).  Since the new upload, I can't create a pdf using the "combine multiple files into a single pdf" function.  The app stops at "CHECKING FOR SECURITY SETTINGS" and the spinning rainbow wheel appears on the screen. Have to force quit the application. I've attached a screenshot taken with my phone because Apple's spinning wheel is invisible using the shift+command+3 screenshot shortcut. (Screenshot attached). Was on the phone with Adobe tech support for several hours, uninstalling, reinstalling. It takes at least one hour to download the 1.1GB file, because of our slow DSL in a remote rural area of California. Slow DSL is why we cannot use any cloud-based storage—workflow slows to a snail's pace.   The Adobe tech provided a workaround which was to create the file on the cloud. A short-term solution, b
