How can I make the text a user types into a forms text box automatically resized so when they type more text in than will fit it shrinks and resizes so it still all fits?

Hi there, I need to set up a form field name array to check if the field names "8 base 2" to "8 base 8" are visible. If they are visible then I will need to show then next one to show along with the Name, Sig and Date boxes. Also when it shows "8 base 5" Page 2 needs to be spawned.  I want my "Total Activity Requested" to be the sum of all "Requested Dose" (i.e. fields R1-R10)  Mathematically I'd want: Total Activity Requested = R1 + Sum of (Rx/exp(-0.00632*(Ax-Cal))     (where Rx = Fields R2-R10 and Ax = Fields A2-A10)) Ax-Cal is the time difference between the two fields in minutesUsing the above image as an example: For example R1 = 200 Cal: 11/02/2025 09:00   R2 = 250 A2 = 11/02/2025 10:00  R3 = 120 A3 = 11/02/2025 11:00  The "Total Activity Requested" can be calculated to be = 200 + 250/exp(-0.00632*60) + 120/exp(-0.00632*120)  I am expecting the answer to be 821.  I hope this makes sense.  

Hello... I tried Enable PDF thumbnail previews in Windows Explorercheckbox in  Preferences, but that did not work. I am using Mystic Thumbs which shows thumbnails of all the other Adobe apps successfully (Photoshop, InDesign, etc) but no luck with PDF files...so I am assuming (possibly wrongly) that the problem is not with Mystic Thumbs.Is there another way to enable this...through the registry, perhaps? Thanks.ssander

I am working on a user fillable form that would, when a Submit button is clicked, save the user filled input to a plain text PDF file. Hi guys - not a tech savvy human so go gentle.I am running macOS Sequoia 15.0.0 and Microsoft 365 and Acrobat Pro Both freshly uninstalled and reinstalled and up to date. Every time I open Word or Excel, I get little pop ups for:   'Grant Access File'. Microsoft needs access to the file named "AcrobatUtils.scpt" 'A macro in the file "linkCreation.dotm" is requesting this access. (Screenshot below.)   There will be three or four of them, and even after granting access, closing the doc and reopening word/excel with a different or new doc, the pop ups appear again. I have stopped granting access because I have no clue what I am granting access to ,and it makes zero difference to the outcome.   This only a recent thing - maybe since updating to 15.0.1? But really, I don't know. I am ready to throw the lot in the trash as I am wasting so much time closing the little pop ups and googling what is wrong.   Please help!! Hello, I have an Acrobat web form that is currently called "Assistance Form." I would like the file name (and email subject line, if possible) to reflect data pulled in from the completed form. For instance, if Jane Doe fills out the web form on 2/10/2025, then it should get emailed as "Assistance Form - Jane Doe 2/10/2025." Is this possible? I have not been able to find documentation in the help pages on this scenario. Thank you in advance.

Good morning, I am working on a fillable PDF form, and my client has asked for the text fields to be formatted in terms of the leading (line spacing) in mutliple line fields. I have the javscript written and it should work, but it doesn't. The fields are set to allow rich text formatting. I added the js code to Format > Custom Format Script. I also checked that the form is javascript enabled. The settings seem correct. Am I missing something? Thank you!

Hello. I created templates in the web version of adobe. I am unable to see the templates on the computer desktop app. Any help would be appreciated. How do I edit my homescreen to see templates?  

I've just downloaded Acrobat DC and am trying to use it to edit a previously-scanned B&W document (the document is a PDF large-format scan of a sewing pattern -- just line drawings and text).  What I want to do is delete (or at least mask out) a small portion of some of the detail on that scanned document in order to insert new text or make other corrections.  I can't seem to find a tool anywhere on Acrobat DC that will allow me to select a small section of the PDF image and erase that portion of the image within the selected boundaries, the way I can with Microsoft Paint for example.  Is there an "eraser" tool I'm missing?  Or some other method to select and erase/delete a small portion of a PDF image?  I definitely do not want to change the overall dimensions of the image, or affect the rest of the image at all by erasing a portion -- just mask the section to white.I'd be grateful for any help with this.  If I can't get this to work, I'm going to hav

I have a problem where Acrobat sometimes does not display text, colors, and shapes. Attached you can see the difference. In Chrome, it displays correctly, but in Acrobat, the red box with the white text does not appear. This mainly happens when there are images/shapes layered on top of each other and/or with text. I believe there is a setting somewhere, but I can't find it. Can you help me?Adobe Acrobat Pro, 2024.002.21005

What is the point of having a 'FILE LISTS, Recent' on the home screen of my Adobe Acrobat Pro DC if it doesn't work?  I click on a file in this list to open it and I get the above message.   Then the name of the file disappears.  The file I'm trying to open is still saved in the same place and was not changed or renamed or moved.  It's the same when I want to save a file and try to save it into a folder from AAPDC list of recent folders which has not been changed or moved.  I get the following message: "The location you are trying to open is no longer available and cannot be opened."I've search all morning for a solution.  Thanks for any input or solutions you can provide.  I use a PC running Windows 7 Professional.

So I created this form to help each department see how much each item is before approving the items. Each item can be chosen as each, box, or case depending on how much the staff needs. I wanted the price to populate when each, box, or case is chosen. So if one AAA battery is chosen (each) the expected price would be 1.29, if one box is chosen the expected price would 5.29, if one case is chosen it would be 10.29. Is there a way to do this? I didnt know if i should do a drop down or have the staff type in the response. Please see attachment. 

I am trying to re-number some documents for a production, but I keep getting an error message that Adobe is unable to remove the bates numbers. The error message says:"Adobe Acrobat cannot find any Bates Numbering in this file. If you see Bates Numbering information, it was not added in Adobe Acrobat or by an Adobe PDFMaker, and cannot be detected as such."I literally used Adobe to add the numbers earlier today, why am I getting this message? I need to re-number and produce these docs today.

Work computers updated, I turned off the new version of Acrobat Pro so I could keep using the thumbnails to extract multiple pages and make new files in Explorer. The old version would auto-prompt for a save name when dropping the pages in File Explorer. It was easy to drag, rename, save, delete in seconds with barely any clicks or keys.  Now, it won't ask me to name the file, and just says Extracted Pages. I have to stop, move over, rename, move back, delete... For bulk scans, this would add a gross amount of time each pay period better spent elsewhere.  Question: How can I get Acrobat to prompt every time for a file name when drag/dropping files to new locations?

I've been using this script and it worked perfectly in the previous document. All I did was change the button names (shortened them). Now that I updated the document and changed the form field names, it is now delaying the action. It was instant before. Now, when I select "Other" int he drop down list, it still skips the hidden form field unless I click tab a few times or if I have to physically place my mouse in the form field. Turned my computer on today, haven't used any Adobe applications yet. Suddenly I get a desktop notification about your AI garbage from Acrobat. My company is paying for your rip off subscription model and frankly I'm furious. If this nonsense continues I will cancel everything, forever. So sick and tired of missguided companies trying to shove their failed AI investments into everyone's face. It's bad enough how prominently you display this garbage in your software to try tricking people into using it. And now you have the audacity to push this on the desktop without me even interacting with your program at all. Unbelievable. You're not even using the right localization you absolute buffoons.

I have been having exactly the same problem for a while and it is very frustrating. Could anyone look at this with a fresh set of eyes please?To recap, the problem is that when I am trying to open a pdf file from Windows Explorer with a double-click of the mouse, and the preview pane is open, the file usually doesn't open with the first click. I must keep clicking repeatedly. I am working with Acrobat Pro DC version 2021.005.20060, Windows 10 Pro version 2004. If the preview pane is not open, the problem does not occur.

I want to be able to create html code and the pdf will be the background of the page.1. I imported an image file into a pdf in order to have a background for the pdf form2. Then I switched to form mode and placed some so-called text fields on the pdf above which there is an image background.3. Finally, I thought I could create a web page on which there are the text fields with the locations and the background of the page will be the original pdf document4. What I saw in the html code is just the background image without the fields. how can I generate html web page with all the fields ?

Error: One page missed in printing from big file i from  Adobe acrobat reader on Windows 10 Home 64bitI have a large pdf file of shipping labels file size more than 4MB. This problem was happening dailly so i contacted printer support  but didn't find any help. So i search online and found one clew. Here are my findings. One file has 180 pages and the other has 214 page both are 4MB PLUS .When I print in the acrobat, it sends all pages to the printer according to the print job file but it does not print all pages. It prints 179 out of 180 from one file and it prints 213 out of 214 from another file. So basically it is skipping or missing one page from printing. However the print job shows all pages but the actual printer is missing one page.I printed it multiple times and it always skipped print on the same page So i searched online and cleared two things in settings of adobe acrobat reader 2024.003.20112 os Windows 10 Home 64bit and it reso

Hello, I have a user whom I have been troubleshooting an ongoing issue with. We host shared drives that users store files in and have no issues on Windows.However, our only Mac user experiences crashes when saving PDFs inside one of the shared drives.  The process is:User creates a new PDF or edits an existing PDF -> Clicks save -> Crashes both Acrobat and server/shared drive -> No edits to the PDF were saved I have tried the following troubleshooting steps already:1. Reinstalling Adobe Acrobat (both via Adobe Cloud app and directly from the website)2. Resetting the "Preferences" in Adobe Acrobat3.
