While trying to open from the recent or starred documents I get an error message "There was an error opening this document. A file error has occurred.

Need to install Adobe Acrobat on a corporate image where users can use the regular features, but those that log in with their account and have a Pro license installed can use those features - without - installing a binary. For this use case, what binary is recommended?

Hi,I need to create an image box on a document, such that a user can drag and drop an image onto the document.  I should be able to accomplish this by adding an image box, however, when opening the Prepare Form feature, I found that I don't have an image box option.  I know that I could just modify the Button feature for placing a perminant image on the document, but that doesn't allow user modification.  I'm using Acrobat Pro DC 2015 (perpetual license).  Is it possible for me to activate or acquire that option?  If not, is there another way to accomplish this?Thanks much

Moving from Acrobat to ABCD community

Fellow Forum Members,I have a PDF of a 200 page book I scanned and having a hard time setting up links in the TOC because of the conflicting page numbering between the printed book and the Acrobat 9 PDF file.To clarify, PAGE ONE of the printed book doesn't actually start until you hit PAGE SEVENTEEN of the book. Because the first SIXTEEN pages of the printed book are numbered using roman numbers for stuff like the PREFACE and the Table of Contents.In contrast, PAGE ONE for the Acrobat PDF file actually starts on Roman Numeral One. Therefore, the Acrobat 9 page counter  displays page numbering that is out of whack by 16 pages in the PDF file.Can anyone out there help me figure out what I need to do in my Acrobat 9 so that my PDF file has its first SIXTEEN pages numbered using ROMAN numbers, and  once I hit page SEVENTEEN my page number starts as PAGE ONE?  This way the book page numbering will match the PDF page numbering and make setting up my links less labor intensive.

When converting from Word to PDF, either using the Acrobat tab in the ribbon or directly from Acrobat, the ToC hyperlinks go to the wrong page. (This does not happen when export as a PDF from Word using Word's built in function). Basically the links go to the next section rather than the page of the section they are supposed to go to. I can manually edit them to the correct page but this is a lot of work. Is there are way to avoid this? Using Word for Mac Version 16.91, Acrobat Pro continuous release for Mac 

I've been using various versions of Acrobat Pro for decades.  Admittedly, it hasn't been "day in, day out" use, so I don't claim any expertise with it at all.  But I also feel it shouldn't be as difficult as I've always found it to be with respect to handling and accessing the text in a PDF file.   Acrobat Pro is a product I've always hoped could be genuinely useful for working effectively with text that's been "extracted from" scanned images of hardcopy pages of raw text and then stored within a pdf file.  But I've never been able to figure out how to make Acrobat Pro work as I expect it should with respect to just the text it "acquires" from scanned images of ordinary text documents.  Forget all the cool image editing tools in Acrobat; I'm 100% concerned first with just the text in the PDF file:  Acquiring it; correcting it for accuracy; and  then being able to access and work with the "recognized" text after it has been manually corr

Greetings, Community.I stumbled upon this "logical fallacy" just yesterday. I'm a  happy Creative Cloud "All Apps" plan user. I happen to use several different computers for my work and the paid apps are currently installed on two, so I reached the limit of activation. Fine, no problem with that... BUT! As far as I know, Adobe Reader is a free app for everyone and I need nothing more than that: open a PDF file in Adobe Reader on the computers I don't have Creative Cloud installed on. Unfortunately I installed Adobe Reader free app on a third computer and as soon as I logged in with my main Adobe Account, the subscriber version of myself kicked in and forced me to deactivate one of the other PCs. Now I'm stuck... I simply can't use Adobe Reader, a free app for everyone, 'cause I'm paying for the whole suite. Anyone knows how to get out of this loop? Thanks in advance to everyone.

I bought Acrobat Pro DC and it won't install on my computer. I just keep getting an error message that says "Acrobat installer encountered an unexpected failure. Please try again. If it continues to fail, contact Adobe support."

I am running the current version of Acrobat Pro (24.003.20180) and it now takes 24 seconds to open a pdf file after upgrading Windows 11 from 23H2 (2023 update) to 24H2 (2024 update OS Version 10.0.26100.1742).  If I modify Acrobat Pro by turning off "Run in AppContainer" under Security (Enhanced) in Acrobat preferences files load in 1 second.

I'm a helpdesk technician and I have an end user with an active Adobe Pro subscription.  For some reason this morning, she was no longer able to do e-signatures.  See error below:I checked out admin portal, she has an active Adobe Pro subscription.  I did some searching in the community and found a post that suggested changing the email on the account and then changing it back might resolve it but no luck.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.
