This issue is more than a decade old, and yet Adobe is unable to solve it.  It is not possible to stop the Bookmark menu from opening up in every pdf, and it is more than annoying, it is unproductive.  I have tried all the fixes including deleting the files here: C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\LocalLow\Adobe\Acrobat\DCNow I open all pdf’s with Edge or Chrome and I realized, why am I wasting money on the creative suite when I have to use non-Adobe programs to work with adobe documents?This is a deal breaker.  I am actually closing my adobe account because I cannot handle not being able to prevent the bookmarks menu from appearing on every single pdf I open.  It is a big time waster and it is ridiculous this cannot be stopped.I am just one customer loss, but Adobe has lost its way.

When I open a PDF with Acrobat desktop or web app, almost all pages appear blank or background colors don’t render properly. I’ve ensured I have the latest Acrobat version, checked for updates, disabled online storage options, and even re-installed the app. None of these steps resolved the issue. However, I can view the PDF pages clearly in Preview on my MacBook Pro.Thank you to anyone with a suggestion or solution.

Hi,I'm exporting from Figma as PDF and importing into Acrobat DC to add links.it's doing two things, 1 adding loads of vertical lines (please see attached screen shots when mounsing over / clicking to try to remove sections of the document turn white)  And 2 - making text edges a bit rough on export (perhaps rasterising?) I suspect it's related to point 1... Please can you advise to a solution?it's only happening when passing through acrobat so I guess it's a settings issue...many thanks,Aidan

I am experiencing an inconsistency between the Adobe Acrobat desktop application and the web interface. While the "Request E-signatures" feature works perfectly on the desktop app, I frequently encounter the error message "Please contact your admin to access this feature" when attempting the same action via the web browser.Since the feature works on my desktop, my permissions should be active. Could you please investigate why the web portal is intermittently failing to recognize my access rights and advise on a fix? 

We have noticed that when we try to update Adobe Acrobat manually by: Clicking hamburger menu, clicking help, clicking check for updates; that it is always prompting for Administrator credentials. This used to not be an issue but it has become a company wide issue. We have some users with Adobe Acrobat Reader and the rest with Adobe Acrobat through Creative Cloud. Does anyone have advice or a fix for this? 

I'm trying to use an installation of Adobe Acrobat to edit a document. Colleagues in my office have successfully been able to edit this document with their installations of the software. When I try, I get this message:Typed text does appear to be Arial but if I try to type numbers, I get peculiar looking characters that might be from the Hebrew character set?In trying to fix this I discovered, to my surprise, that if I try and "repair" the installation, I get wizard dialog boxes that are partly in English but with what looks like Arabic text on the buttons.   The repair did nothing. Hi!I have installed the font Open Sans on my computer. Everything appeared to be fine when I used Open Sans in Word, but after exporting to PDF the font appears uneven in PDF. When opening the PDF in a browser it looks fine, but when I open it through Acrobat it looks odd.You can see an example here of how it looks:I have tried to delete and reinstall the font, I have tried variable and static version of the font. I had Adobe Acrobat 10.0 Standard (purchased and licensed) installed and fully working on my Windows11 Pro PC.Recently, I replaced the motherboard due to a hardware problem with the old motherboard.After this hardware change, the software Adobe Acrobat 10.0 Standard refuses to work. I keep getting a pop-up asking for the license key.When the license key is entered it results in a message stating license key not valid!Whereas this is a genuine license key with software license certificate 8837856.How can I make the software to install and work normally as before the motherboard change?Thank you in advance for any help in this regard.

Hello, I’m reporting what looks like a Mac Acrobat Pro rendering bug affecting fillable PDF forms (IRS forms such as Form 5472 / 1120).  Problem Previously filled form fields (text already entered days/months ago) suddenly started displaying incorrectly in Acrobat on Mac:  broken/strange character spacing distorted text appearance inside form fields text looks scattered or stretched in some fields   Important observations (why this looks like an Acrobat display/render bug)  Mac Quick Look shows the same PDF correctly Print Preview shows the same PDF correctly Another PDF viewer app also shows the text correctly Only Acrobat on Mac displays the form field text incorrectly on screen  This strongly suggests:  PDF data is intact form data is intact print output is intact issue is Acrobat’s on-screen rendering of form field text   Environment / Repro context  Tested on 2 different MacBook Pros Tested with 2 different Adobe accounts Same issue on both machines/accounts

Since about a month my, and my colleges Acrobat Pro (64-bit) version keeps crashing/hanging for some reason. The program is up to date. Last week I found a another new update, but it still very unresponsive. 😞Is there an easy fix or do we need to go back and install and old version?Thanks.

Hi all,in a PDF module I entered a drop-down menu field.This field contains a great amount of items, so it would be very useful (instead of scrolling down till to the 1000-th item of the list) if I could start digiting first letters so that only items beginning with that letters will appear.Is it possible in some way?Thank you, P.T.

Eine Mitarbeiterin kann nicht mehr die Schnelldruck Funktion in Outlook benutzen. Wenn sie auf Schnelldruck klickt, passiert nichts.Wenn ich ein anderes Programm als Standard für PDF hinterlege z.B. Edge, dann funktioniert es.Mit Adobe geht es nicht. Problem besteht nur bei einer Benutzerin auf dem Terminalserver (RDS).Ich habe Adobe Reader neu installiert, repariert, aktualisiert. Nichts hat geholfen.Der Kunde hat parallel auch die Adobe Pro Version auf dem Terminalserver. Ich weiß nicht, ob es damit zu tun hat. Die Benutzerin ist aber nicht berechtigt die Pro Version zu benutzen und benutzt die kostenlose Version. Außerdem habe ich den folgenden Workaround ausprobiert:Workaround Registry: Erstellen Sie unter HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Options einen neuen Schlüssel Anlagen und darin einen DWORD(32-Bit) Wert namens FileTrackIdle mit dem Wert 15000Hat jemand eine Idee?Vielen Dank! 

Acrobat- Trying to convert a 200-page PDF story to a continuous plain text or RTF (Text Edit) results in a blank page. I don’t need special formatting. I’m on a deadline- please help!

How do I disable the windows 11 notifications like “Fill and sign PDFs for free”? I know I can go into Settings and manually disable any Adobe apps in notifications, but how do I do this for all users preferably with a registry FeatureLockDown of some kind. I’m unsure if its only happening during updates or not, as I have autoupdates turned off. I update the app through intune.I have Upsell and other similar features turned off, so its not that. 

I’m working on a 12-month digital planner that includes raster images on every page. This is a product file, so maintaining a consistent and optimized file size is important.Last month, using Save As Other → Optimized PDF, I was able to reduce the file to under 5 MB, while still maintaining: All hyperlinks Acceptable image quality Full functionality This surprised me (in a good way), since the file contains raster images on every page.This month, however, I cannot achieve the same file size — even though: The page count is the same The exact same images are being used The layout structure is the same No new assets have been introduced Here are my Optimized PDF settings:Compatibility Make compatible with: Acrobat 10.0 and later Images Downsample to 150 ppi for images above 225 ppi JPEG compression: Medium quality Fonts Subset all embedded fonts Discard User Data Discard document information and metadata Discard private data of other applications Despite using the same work

This has been happening more and more lately.  Maybe its Canva glitch I am not aware of?  I will have clients send me PDF's that they make in Canva that look fine on screen.  When I send to print, some text will drop out.  Sometimes its full paragraphs and other times its just a few words. Ive tried using Acrobat to optimize and resave the PDF, save as a different type of PDF, even dropped the PDF's into InDesign and make a new PDF from that.  Each time, everything looks ok on screen but the issues happen after printing.  The only common thing I have found is that these PDF's are created from Canva.  The only work around I have found is to convert all the pages to JPGs and make into a new JPG based PDF.  Is there any kind of check or fix I can do with Acrobat instead of converting every PDF I receive to JPGs?

Does anyone know why Acrobat is still not multithreaded? I regularly use Acrobat Pro 2020 (standalone) to OCR single pdf files of c.2,000 pages or more. I am doing so as we speak on my i7-13700K 32gb DDR5-6400 machine. Acrobat is still single-threaded, so I only get 10% ultilisation and the task takes as long now as it did on my 5-year-old pc becuase it's limited to using one core, with the other 15 cores sitting unused. For a professional piece of software which should be the gold standard for the pdf format, that is embarrassing.  Does Adobe have any intention of implimenting multithreading in future versions? Does anyone know of any standalone software which would do this job until then for less than c$100? As my work involves legally privileged files I can't upload the file to an online services to do this and as I only do this a few times a week, an enterprise level solution is out of my price range.
