I did the following to make RoboHelp Source work with Azure DevOps Git... To setup source control with Robohelp, perform the following actions:Create a Master repository location in AzureDevOps.Clone the Master repository location within your local machine.Set your Robohelp Project file to the Master repository location within yourlocal machine.Save your Project file.In Visual Studio 2019, Team Explorer, click Show Folder View.Right click the .xpj file and then click Open With.In the Open With dialog, click Add.Browse to the Robohelp.exe file to select it.Highlight Robohelp in the Open With window and then click Default.Right click inside the Solutions Explorer and then select Go to Git Changes from the shortcut menu.Highlight the appropriate files and then enter a Branch comment.Select Commit All and Push to check-in the files to the server.Suggestion:  Use Staged for specific files.

Hi, Everyone. Can anyone tell me how to upload Articulate Storyline files to RoboHelp 2019 (new UI)?  There's lots of instruction on the Web for older versions of RH, just not 2019, new UI. And are their options for displaying the Storyline content -- I mean, embedding within a topic vs. making the Storyline content its own topic? Thank you!

Hi,The files are created with previous version, now when with RoboHelp 2020, am trying to open .xpj files, they arent opening. Need help urgently.

RH 2020 is hanging during output generation at "Copying asset files". I have to close out of RH to clear. I have applied the recent RH 2020 update but that didn't fix the problem. The problem seemed to happen when I used @11220649-face in my css. I edited the css outside of RH. (I'm trying to embed my font into my project so it will show nicely even though the user doesn't have the font.) When I removed the @11220649-face code from the css I still got the same problem. I had to reuse an old css file to finally get the project to generate successfully. I'm using Frameless output preset and it seems to happen using all skins. I have two projects that this has happened on. Anyone else having the same problem? Anyone have a solution?

We are fairly new to RoboHelp and are still trying to learn. I'm trying to figure out how to get a cover page to show as the first page of my pdf output. I've added a cover page to the "front matters" and after that is my TOC page. When I go to generate the pdf output, I see the TOC on page 1. Is there some hidden setting somewhere that I'm missing?

On both the Adobe help docs for Robohelp (here: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/robohelp/user-guide.html/in/robohelp/using/translation.ug.html) and on an independent site (here: https://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/rh_tour/rh2020/authoring/translations.htm) it talks about clicking the Translations button in the author section on the left of the IDE. However I don't see this option in my project... So, do I need to configure something first to get that option? Has it been removed? The Author panel for my project looks like this currently:  

Is it possible to define the resultant page size when a single topic is "Saved as PDF"? The default seems to be A4 and I can't see any way to change it. 

Our online help uses context sensitive help with MapID numbers and names to retrieve the correct topic. We want to create one topic to be used for multiple screens and be retrieved by multiple mapIDs. Is there a way to do this in RoboHelp 2019 Classic? I use the h file and alias file for assigning mapIDs, but I don't currently do anything outside of the mapID tool in RoboHelp.

In RH 2019 Classic, I had a batch file that used RHCL to generate 40 help modules in a row. In RH 2020, I have adapted the file to use the new batch syntax (--cl), but it hangs after generating the first module. It looks like the program never exits, so it never moves on to the next command... My new batch file looks like this:"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 2020\RoboHelp.exe" --cl "C:\technical_documentation\sophis\online_help_74\master_74\master_74.rhpj" -o "InvestOLH" -p "C:\ioana\help_builds\value_rh_2020" "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 2020\RoboHelp.exe" --cl "C:\technical_documentation\sophis\online_help_74\basics_74\basics_74.rhpj" -o "InvestOLH" -p "C:\ioana\help_builds\value_rh_2020\mergedProjects\basics_74" The master_74 project gets generated succesfully, I get the following lines in the log... and it just stops there.[...]Updating mergedProjects/user_rights_settings_72/whatsnew/whatsnew.htm...Applying screen layout page (Topic) to topics..

I heard from a colleague that RoboHelp is retired. Can anyone confirm that or set us straight?  Not trying to start a rumor mill, rather I am trying to find out if there is just a misunderstanding in-house and clarify. Thanks!

Our programmer is telling me that he is getting the following script error when trying to test out the final project files. When I test the output myself, I am not getting the script error. I don't know for sure what I am looking for in the code. Any help is greatly appreciated.This is a RH2020 project.

Are there any known issues when trying to generate word output in RH 2020 New UI from projects that have been upgraded from RH 2019 New UI ?  I have two seperate RH 2020 projects that I upgraded from RH 2019 that I cant seem to generate word output for. One just has the "starting generation message" for ages and nothing else happens and one starts the generation and merges all the files and then just fails to generate.  I am able to produce word output from a new project created in RH 2020.

Hi. I was just upgraded from RoboHelp 2017 to 2019. I obvioulsy have user guides created in the 2017 version that will have no problem being upgraded to 2019. However, I have one set of guides that I had to generate Web Help for. I do not see this this as a type of output presets in 2019. What shall I do in order to still provide the right file format for these guides? One other question: I am seeing information online for RoboHelp 2019 Classic. Is this a different verison of RoboHelp 2019? Thank you,Michele

How do I get RoboHelp 2019 downloaded on another computer? Who do I get in contact with for the key and download link?

I created a test guide. I generated Responsive HTML5 and was able to view output. I made a change to a topic and generated the Responsive HTML5 output again and when I go to view the output, nothing displays. An explorer window opens but displays nothing. I have to close RoboHelp then relaunch it. I will note that if I generate the output in a different way, I am able to view it. But if I generate the out put using the same steps to view again, nothing displays. What causes this and can it be remedied? Thank you,Michele

Hi,My work includes adding UI icons while writing steps to do something.Upon doing the same, the indentation of the numbered list with the number got mismatched.Please refer the attached image for depicting actual issue and suggest me if anything can be done.Thanks!

I have the following text in my topic:<h1>Frequently Asked Questions</h1><p><strong>Can permissions specific to objects be exported?</strong></p><p>Imported objects inherit their permissions from their parent objects. If your import contains folders, the hierarchy structure of child folders will be maintained.</p>This is how it looks if I view the output from within RH: Here is how it looks in my PDF output:It has applied a bold to the first line of the second paragraph. It has done this randomly throughout the whole PDF.  Sometimes it has applied bold to text that has no strong tag in the whole topic, sometimes it is like this, where there is a strong tag somewhere in the topic. But there does not seem to be any pattern to it.  

A couple more "newbie" questions here ... First question.  I have several notes, tips, and warnings in the manual I am working on. When the manual was done in InDesign I placed an icon at the left side of the text to easily identify whether it was a note, tip, or warning.  Is there a way to accomplish this in RoboHelp? Second question. I've added breadcrumbs at the top of the page, and using a | separator between levels. But the default breadcrumb style shows a number beside the Home link, which filters down through the various breadcrumb levels after publishing.  I can't figure out where this number is coming from and how to remove it ... see below for example, which shows both the separator and the number on the page:  Thanks in advance! Denise

My brain is fried.)  I'm pretty sure I've linked other elements to "New_topic".  I'm just worried what effect renaming this file will have. Thank you!

I am trying to connect to Robohelp to a github repro and get the following error. I tried to use ssh keys but Robohelp told me the agent wasn't running (it was i checked) so we switch the HTTPS with sso and a token. This is the error we are seeing any idea's?

Hi, Everyone. I'm creating a table style to create a "side bar" format. (See screenshot, right-hand column, beneath the image.)  I'd like to set the width in the style to be narrower. But I don't want to use pixels, afraid that would forfeit the responsive properties of my skin (Oceanic). How do I do this?  Thank you!

I used to be able to drag a topic over an image and it automatically created a hyperlink when the image is clicked.How do I do that in RH 2020?

Our responsive HTML output is displayed within a frame on our site. Due to the size, this makes the images not being clear. Is there a way we can use an option to enlarge images upon a click. I am using RH 2019. 

Hi, I just started to use Robohelp 2019(.0.12). My target is to generate two versions of an online help with conditional content. The source of this content is a Framemaker document with different conditional tags.I managed to link the FM file in my RH project and the conditional text is correctly hidden when it should be. The only problem I have is that if a whole section in the FM document is marked to be hidden, the topic created fom that section is still visible in the table of contents of the output. It is empty when you open it, but I would also like to hide the TOC entry.I achieved this by manually tagging the topic in RH with the correct conditional tag. But can't that be done automatically during the import? After all, the heading from which the topic is generated, is also marked with the conditional tag in FM.Doing it manually is not a solution for me, because the source document is continuously changing and I would have to do that tagging after each update.
