RoboHelp

In my framemaker doc I have text boxes that contain cross reference links to other sections in the same doc. These are valid with the FM doc.   But when I published to html5 responsive output, the boxes came across as images and the hypertext lays flat, no link. I see in the publish settings things like Options - use html page template and override styles; will any of the settings on the Edit-Settings dialog enable my cross ref links to come through in the output despite being inside a text box? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.-Bill    

I created a project with Robohelp 2019 trial version. I purchase the product and downloaded version 2020. I tried importing my project to version 2020 and it does not work. Do I have to do something else? 

I am trying to test RH 2020 to see if we should migrate from RH 2019 Classic. But I don't want it to interfere with my current setup, so I am installing it on a VM... where it successfully starts, then automatically closes after a few seconds. Any ideas? I guess something about the VM is tripping it up, but I'm trying to understand if there's something I can change (missing prereq?) or I just can't use this VM at all. The VM is using Windows Server 2016, has ~6GB free space, and has very restricted internet access. I see that in the requirements it says "This software will not operate without activation. Broadband Internet connection and registration are required for software activation, validation of subscriptions, and access to Online Services." - does this also apply to a trial version? Is RH trying to call home, failing and exiting? If so, can anyone provide the IP IT needs to add to the exceptions list?

HiI have downloaded the trial version of RH2020. For some reason the output is not getting generated. In Quick Generate > Output Preset > Frameless, the bar keeps running for ever without generating an ouput.I also checked with the built-in RH project - Compass Travel but still no luck.Any specific settings that RH2020 requires? 

RoboHelp 2019 - New UIMy project consists of very short topics starting with Heading 1.Is there a way to have more than one topic to a page?  I don't see any setting for this in the PDF Output Preset.

I need help ASAP.  When I create an image map on an image and generate responsive HTML5 output, the link is not in the correct position on the image. The image size 1331x777. Please can someone help me with this immediately, I am working on a project that is due very soon and I need help?

Hi, Everyone. My homepage TOC isn't behaving the way I think it should. Shouldn't only top-level books appear in the TOC?  Here's my TOC in the editor (Screenshot 1):SCREENSHOT 1 But here's my home page. See the tile titled "About ETF" (Screenshot 2)? Hi All,I am having some issues using the merged projects in RH 2019. I can add them to the TOC, but when I update the TOC, the projects disappear. Is it normal? How do I proceed? Thanks!!

We have a help project set up to export as responsive HTML5. When viewing the help in a browser, if you right click on a topic link in the ToC and choose to open it in a new window, the topic file will open without the help file skin around it (it will just open the base topic text into the new window).We couldn't find any way in RoboHelp to adjust this behavior. How can we open a topic in a new window so it appears as it would if you would have just clicked on the link normally?

HiIs it possible to add a cover page while generating a Word output. I did see the option to add a cover page for PDF but not in Word. 

Hello!I am new to RoboHelp (had 2015 and now have 2017) and have had issues compiling an output for a little over a week now. The issues that pop up are:1. Unsupported Characters2. Not enough memoryHow do I fix these two errors to compile an output in Microsoft HTML? And/or how do I compile an output properly? (I have used the Output SSL pod and clicked Microsoft HTML Help and hit Generate Output but I still get the above errors each time) 

Greetings,In the CHM output, in some topics, some content appears to be invisible.  When I simply left-click and drag the area which is invisible, I can see the text. Any idea what could be the root cause and a fix to this? Appreciate your help! 

HiI have noticed two issues while generating a Word ouptut:The TOC page displays the heading as just Contents and not Table of Contents. Is there any setting in RH so that the Word ouptut shows Table of Contents and not Contents or do I need to manually change it in the generated Word doc?Master Pages - I have a master page to show the Header and Footer in the Word output. But unfortunately, the master page is not getting applied. Any ideas on why it could be so?

I am using RoboHelp 9 for one of my projects. I am generating Microsoft HTML Help output, and when done generating, the dialog asks if I want to view PRO.chm (the name of my project). I open it and view the CHM fine. When I go to find the actual PRO.chm in File Explorer, I search and cannot find it. (I've been working with RH for 25 years, so I'm not a complete newbie, but this has me baffled.)

Hi everyone, I'm using the new version of RoboHelp 2019. When inserting multiple snippets into a topic, some snippets get duplicated outside of the snippet box below. When I delete the excessive text below the snippet and output, the unwanted text remains. When I check HTML view, it's gone. When I save and restart RH, the duplicate text returns in the editor view again too. I try new pages, still happens. It seems to be something inside the snippet causing this bug. 

I'm building a new version of our HTML5 help with the reimagined robohelp and try to use our company font. For the body I've managed to make it available everywhere I've tested by importing an online font.css pasting the following line at the beginning of my default.css (ofcourse the [font.css url] is replaced by the actual url).@1552174 url("[font.css url]");Now my problem is, that I can't seem to use the same font across all platforms for the toc and title, as Robohelp won't recognize it. I've found it should be embedded in the layout.css that is created while building the output. On a local build I've added the line of code to layout.css after the build was finished and the effect is perfect. However, we're using an automated Jenkins build, so I can't simply paste my fonts source into this.  Now my question is the following: Is there a way for me to either create a font set that can refer to the online fonts that is used throughout the project (and not just in the body tex

One of our help projects, built with RoboHelp 2015, uses the output of web help. When using Internet Explorer 11, the help pages, table of contents, index and search are all displayed properly. But with Chrome or Edge, the pane for TOC, index and search contains no infomation. (See attachment.)     We upgraded to Robohelp 2019, but find the new RoboHelp is different enough, that for occasional users like us, it's not clear what I need to do to fix this problem. I have not been successful in finding solutions though web searches at Adobe or in general.   Can someone offer step-by-step guidance on how to display the contents for the TOC, Index and Search tabs?    Thanks!

What are the RoboHelp requirements for transparent PNG files?  RoboHelp is not happy with the transparent PNG files we generate.  We increased color depth as has been suggested, but no joy. 

I just updated my RH 2019 to latest .14 version from .11 and then simply changed one page on my current project, recompiled and regenerated output and my entire set of pages did not show on right side. The topics show on left but when i click the topic the page on right gets 404 - not found.   Using Responsive HTML5 output   HELP - is there something that needed to be done to update a 2019.0.11 version to .14. I am using the new version - not classic  

Is Adobe releasing RH 2020?   If so, when? I created a bug about 2 issues in RH 2019 and the response I got was: "thanks for your inputs. Second point is resolved in 2020 release. We will take up first point also soon in 2020 update." What does THAT mean?  Year 2020? Version 2020? A RH 2019 update which was released in 2020 (clue in "resolved"  = past tense, so it was fixed?)   It's very frustrating that the answer is not clear to me... this isn't the first time, either.   I responded to the comment but I still have not gotten an answer, so I'm coming here to ask. Is Adobe releasing a 2020 version of RH?
