The Facts:RoboHelp 2019Output to Responsive HTML 5Import Word DocAzure_Blue SkinMy RoboHelp projects (Import from Word) output is not flush to the left margin.A coworker has produced RoboHelp projects (Responsive HTML 5) that were imported from FrameMaker and the output is flush to the left margin. Is this configurable or a limitation?
Have you done it? I'd love to hear what you did and a basic run down on how you did it.Here's what I'm looking to do . . . . We have a SaaS product that has three different flavors and each of which have a somewhat different set of tools and available options. We have created all content in RoboHelp and would love to have our SaaS product tell RoboHelp exactly what topics should be included in the HTML Help based upon what product and options the customer has access to. Rather then have the user make these selections in help, I'd like our application to set the set these conditions and pass them along to the RoboHelp files to set these filters. What do you think? Thanks for any and all feedback!
Is there a relatively easy way to make a Topic TOC - sticky (so that it continues to display even as you scroll down)?
Hello all,I am attempting to move my RoboHelp environment into the slightly more recent past, by upgrading our projects from RH8 to 2017, which in turn facilitates us to upgrade the machines from Win 7 to Win 10. This is all within a managed corporate environment so "try 2019 version" isn't an option for me right now!I have created a "test" project which myself and my colleague can both connect to in RH2017, I'm on Win 7 and she is on Win 10. Source control is on Sharepoint, where I was previously using RSC with RH8.I am now attempting to upgrade a copy of one of our main projects into 2017. The upgrade of the files went pretty smoothly, and I've been able to connect, publish etc (Webhelp output). But when my colleague connects to the same project, on a Win 10 machine, after the initial connection and download of files, RH falls over with an "Application Stack Overflow" error message. We attempted to go back into the local copy of her project on c:\ but RH complained that root.fpj was
I have been using RH HTML version 8.02 for several months. Recently, after compiling, the Search results do not work. The Search tab shows Error: Failed to initialize database. This occurs when I compile locally and to the server. Running MJ's Diagnostics did not fix the problem.Thanks.Bill
I have a project compiled as a HTML (.chm file) under RH10. This project needs to get imported to a workstation that has RH 2019 installed, using RH 2019 Classic. The .xpj file was imported under the HTML Help Project selection. It displays without the topics from the original project and without a TOC. What am I doing incorrectly?
Hi,There are options to delete Glossary, Filter, and Search icons in Responsive HTML5, but what about the Index and Table of Contents icons in RH2019?
In 2013, I purchased Adobe Technical Communication suite 4 (with FrameMaker 11/RoboHelp 10) on disc directly from Adobe. I need to re-install it, and using the discs isn't an option. I want to re-install by downloading from adobe.com.QUESTION: How can I get a link to download ATC Suite 4?I have the serial number from my original purchase. Thanks for any help you can give!
How do we connect to TFS and specify a user account and password for the connection? It looks like RoboHelp is trying to use the currently logged in user account and does not give an option to provide another user account instead. Due to this limitation we are unable to connect to our TFS server. We have many contracted developers with their own computers that are not joined to our domain. They have domain accounts and could provide those to RoboHelp, if RoboHelp would allow for this. Anyone has such an issue? Do you know if there's any workaround for this? We are on version 2019.0.7. I posted a feature request to Adobe. Here the link:Tracker If you need such a feature, please vote for the request.Thank you
Hello,I am trying to generate my project using the PDF output, but the message "Failed to generate PDF. Make sure there is no broken links." appears and it do not generate the documentation.I have already verified the Broken Links, but there is nothing.Observations: - My project was upgraded from RoboHelp 2019 Classic. - I have already created a new project and then, imported all the topics to try to generate it. - Changed the path of the output. - Tried to generate the output using command-line. No success. 😞 - It works when I generate the Responsive HTML5 output.Someone could help me, please? Thanks,Flavia.
I have installed the new set of fonts in c:\windows\fonts folder. How can I import them in my Responsve HTML5 project in RH 2017?
Hello,I think I might be doing something wrong with the new UI, but I am not seeing the conditional tags working in the preview with RoboHelp 19 as I would expect. I am current using 2019.0.7 and I have tried this with upgraded projects, the demo projects as well as a new project I created just to test. In the screen capture, I should not see the text with the applied conditional build tag of Test in the preview when selected from the Properties to the right. I searched the forum and did not see this as a known issue, am I missing something? Thanks in advanced for your help.
Prior to upgrading to RH2019, my project has always used the "Traditional - No Skin" as the WebHelp skin. The project runs in a piece of hardware with a very low functioning browser and we only want the TOC to appear. Now that I am upgrading, this option does not seem to be available.I am trying to edit down an existing skin. I can omit the glossary and index tabs, but I do not see settings that remove the search tab or the search bar in the header. How can I remove these from my skin? Can I remove the header all together? That would actually be my preference. Also, I don't see a "breadcrumbs" setting to add this to the top of my topics. This was the primary means of navigation for my users. (They could use this to go to home or to menu topics.) Is this still an option?Robin
Hi,I am using RoboHelp 2019 Update 7 (14.0.7.004).Try to create a word file and use hyperlink that contains '#' inside it (ex: Michael Collins (astronaut) - Wikipedia ).Import the word file in RoboHelp and notice that the hyperlink is become empty, repeat the steps but remove the '#' from URL and notice how it is imported correctlyi think this is a bug please advice.
I really did try to contact sales and support to get this answered, but to no avail.I have a subscription to RH that I purchased when RH 2017 was the current release. Now RH 2019 is current but I have some major projects in RH 2017 that I am not yet ready to update to RH 2019. If it was just me, I'd simply continue to use RH 2017 until I'm ready to switch but I have another staff member that I want to get a subscription for so they can also work on the RH 2017 projects - but there is seemingly no way to purchase an RH 2017 subscription. So my question to Adobe was if a subscription would run either RH 2019 or RH 2017 (technically, it really shouldn't matter which revision you are using). If so, I would just purchase an additional subscription (essentially for RH 2019) but actually use it (at least for a while) with RH 2017. Then, at some point in the future, I would update the projects to RH 2019 and both myself and my coworker would switch to using RH 2019.Does anyone know if this will
I tried to generate a project with child projects, but I noticed that the folder "MergedProjects" is created only within the project path and not in the output path of it ... why? do I have to copy it manually (in the output path) every time after adding the child projects in this one?
Hi allHow do I implement a hover over a thumbnail where the image is enlarged to cover both the text area and the toc section, while using Azure_Blue skin? At the moment the images are restrained by the frame. Thanks in advanceMichelle
Hi,I am using RoboHelp Classic 2019 Update 7 (14.0.7.004).I have a word file "testA.docx" which contains hyperlink ("testB.docx#test2b") that point to another word file in same folder "testB.docx", in MS word when you click the hyperlink from "testA.docx" it opens the file "testB.docx" and scroll to the required bookmark ('test2b').When i import these two files in Robohelp it convert the first file to "testA.htm" and the second file to "testB.htm" but the hyperlink in the first file remains ("testB.docx#test2b") and is not working, i think it should be converted to "testB.htm#test2b".I have prepared sample word files but i can't find a way to attach them.I am using RoboHelp Classic 2019, but i already test this in RoboHelp 2019 and it is not working too, any solution/workaround on any version is welcomed. Please Help?
Hello... I have seen the options for hiding the TOC by default when generating WebHelp using a skin, but is there a way when using the no skin option? This is with RoboHelp 2017. Thanks!
I am creating a table with three columns. The left column has a conditional build tag so it can only be seen by a specific set of users.I have set fixed values for the preferred column widths for each column from left to right: 250 px, 250 px, 800 pxWhen previewing the item with a CBT Expression that removes the left column, columns lose their fixed width and default to 50% each, so each column is an equal width. Is there a way for the columns to honor the fixed width values when the tagged content is hidden?
OK folks, I am having some problems that I can't troubleshoot on my own.For some reason, all of a sudden, the TOC of my webhelp site is not loading properly, if at all. Here is a link: FoodPro Help.I know enough that if hit F12 in chrome, I will see the console and any errors. However, I don't understand why I am seeing these errors all of a sudden (and what they mean). Everything was working fine last week.As an aside, this is what the TOC should look like (aka it loads fine when I run the webhelp site locally from my c:\):Any insights would be invaluable. ThanksJim
How can I apply a hanging indent in Robohelp 2019
hi, I was trying to import old projects generated in RH 2015 in the new version RH2019 ... but I noticed that if you change the suggested path during the creation of new projects, the creation attempt fails, if instead the default path is used, outside the project folder, 3 files (* .ing * .stp * .syn) are generated...what are these files for? I tried to delete them but the project opens anyway...
Hi,We have a scenario where we have a mergedproject with ChildA and ChildB. The children are each individual outputs that work on their own independently. When the children are combined in a mergedproject, the mergedproject output also works as expected. What if we want to link Topic1 from ChildA to Topic3 in ChildB or vice versa? Is that possible?
I recently converted my robohelp/webhelp 2017 project to robohelp classic 2019. After I generate my webhelp file and deploy it to my organization's production build, it seems the Search tab doesn't return any search results when I access the webhelp in IE11. However the search does work in the latest versions of Chrome and Firefox. In addition, when I access the webhelp file on my local machine, the Search does seem to work in IE11 which is crazy! I have reported it as a bug, but I thought I would post here as well in case someone else has run into the same issue. Thanks,Kim
