Hello all. We're using RH 2017 (the latest build). We have a large merged help system in a HTML5 responsive output.F1 in English on the one of our dialog boxes gives me this URL initially in my browser's address bar:http://docs.hexagonmi.com/pcdmis/2019.1/en/helpcenter/index.htm?rhcsh=1&rhnewwnd=0&rhmapno=488...which correctly resolves into this and shows the topic:http://docs.hexagonmi.com/pcdmis/2019.1/en/helpcenter/index.htm?rhcsh=1&rhnewwnd=0#t=mergedProjects%2Fcore%2F07_edit_cad_topics%2FSetting_Up_the_Screen_View.htmBut...F1 in our non-English versions of our product on the same dialog box (in this case Italian) gives me this:http://docs.hexagonmi.com/pcdmis/2019.1/it/helpcenter/index.htm?rhcsh=1&rhnewwnd=0&rhmapno=488... but it never resolves to show the topic. I am having issues with corrupted characters appearing in the TOC for Romanian when I create a CHM.These corrupted characters should be displayed as ș and ț, but for now they were displayed as ? in the generated CHM file.All of these characters are fine in hhc file. And when i use these files to created Webhelp file it also works.These corrupted characters only appear in the TOC of chm file, the ș and ț characters can be displayed correctly in the body of the article.What is the cause of this?Thanks.

Hi,I have 2 questions.How can I change the size of the text in the header of the Responsive HTML5 help? I could change the font to Arial but there is no option to set the font size.The default color of the pane splitter arrow is blue. How can I change the color of this?

Hi,Is it possible to delete the logo from the header of Responsive HTML5 output? We do not have any logo and deleting that may help move the header title to the left. Is that possible?

I was exploring the Responsive HTML​ Indigo layout in Robohelp 2017. I customized the back button and it worked fine, but the icon I uploaded for the back button doesn't stay when I click inside a book. For Example, the following are names of the books:When I click the book, it takes to the second level landing page where all the task names are displayed. Here the back button is displayed properly.But when I hover anywhere in the screen, the icon given for back button is changed to the icon given for the book.Can anybody suggest how to make this back button only show the icon created for back button instead of the icon for the book?Message was edited by Peter Grainge to correct version. When I generate webhelp using RoboHelp HTML 10 the TOC initially appears. At the bottom of the Internet Explorer screen id the dialog to allow blocked content. When I click Allow the TOC disappears and the Search pane fills with nonsense text.

We're still using RoboHelp HTML 9 and have several combined/merged projects (I'll ref F and D). I use Windows 10 and Chrome or IE11 to view chm files.I've successfully linked from D REF project to an A.chm topic within a REF topic Page using Remote Topic. The remote page opens in the default frame, which is fine in most cases (I don't see a way to open in separate doc window, which I'd like to do in some cases but we can live with that; don't want to to WebHelp route).My manager wants me to create numerous TOC entries (links) in D project REF project to open a D project COG topic (in frame). It's not working as expected.I created a TOC entry and the Properties link shows as: COG.chm::/DWSCommonAssignCommander.htmI've copied the COG.chm to the REF folder (actually forced to copy file over during Remote Topic creation); I also copied same chm to top level that contains all the project folders.I generate REF project, do my merge procedure (helpmerger.txt has order of projects) to merge al

We published our RHTML5 output last week and our page layout was fine. I tried a test generate of our project today and the TOC, Index, Glossary, Filter, and Search icons are now gone from the display of the output. I checked the Layout and all the options for these icons are set to true. I also looked at the layout.css and they are set to true in here as well. The graphics for all of the icons are located in our !ScreenLayout! folder as needed. I don't know what happened but any advice is welcome.

HelloI use RoboHelp 11 in my company.Since a few days, I can't launch or even create a new project in RH.I have the following error message :"Unable to open the file ...\$rhvariable$.htm. Out of memory starting the editor services."Then, impossible to do anything, the software closes.As suggested by Adobe support, I deleled .xpj and .cpp files. Then, tried to open .hhp file but it failed.My project is saved locally and not on the network.Do you know what is this file?Does anyone encounter a similar problem?Thanks in advance.

Hi All,We have Responsive HTML5 help source that is created by using RH2017. While all team members use RH2017, what if we have 1 team member on RH2019?Would he/she be able to update the same source files of RH2017 seamlessly without any hassles?Does the Responsive HTML5 output of RH2019 and RH2017 differ greatly? Any risks?

Help....please....RoboHelp 2015WebHelp outputOn occasion, after publishing to WebHelp, some of our text popups open with a garble of %20% inserted between words. This does not happen all the time. There are two of working in one Help project folder. I handle the "master" make updates and generate, and then hand off the folder to another writer, who in turn does the same. We have both had this issue popup (pardon the pun) and thought by inserting the text into notepad first and then pasting into the popups, that resolved the problem. Just noticed this yesterday, can't imagine what I could have done to make it happen - all my dropdown HTML content is now visible in the project, without having to doubleclick on the underlined link to open the dropdown edit box. When I doubleclick on the links, the same content is also still in the edit box.The output doesn't display dropdown content by default, so all is well there, so far.Has anyone else seen this?Can I / should I delete the exposed copy of the dropdown content?Any ideas whether a product update caused this? I checked release notes, couldn't find answers there...

We have RH 2017 (13.0.2.334).Our help system is output as a Responsive HTML5 merged help system. We're using a custom layout based off of Charcoal Grey.We used to have auto sizing popups, but those didn't work at all in any topic, so we changed them all to custom sized popups. Those work fine, but only if they're not in topics with drop down text.Has anyone seen this problem, and do you know what the fix is?

We recently upgraded from RH 2017 from RH 2019. Earlier, we were using RH 2017 with Team Foundation Server 2010 but then our management decided to upgrade the TFS 2010 server to TFS 2018. As a result, we had to upgrade our RH version as well. Until now, TFS 2018 couldn't be configured in RH 2019. As an alternative, we now plan to use RH 2019 classic if configured with TFS 2018. Hi,When I installed the latest version of RH (I'm still using the "classic" version and not the new version), my spell checker stopped working.I've reinstalled 2019, but it still won't work. No little reminders when I mistype, and the full menu option tells me everything is fine even when I type gibberish.I even tried changing the dictionary to another language (apparently I spell awesomely in French because there were no mistakes. The language I write in is English by the way).Anyone got any suggestions?Thanks,Nicola

Greetings.We're using the latest RH 2017 (13.0.2.334). We have a very large merged help Responsive HTML5 Help system with about 20 child helps. The largest child is our main (or Core) help with 2300+ topics. The help system resides on our web server. We're in our final week of putting localized help content together prior to our commercial release in about a week, and we're noticing inconsistencies in the search results.For example, if we type the search phrase "updating the software" (w/o quotes), on my machine, I get 392 results. My colleague searching with the exact same phrase gets 6978 results!Umm.... why?I would think we would get the exact same search results given that we're searching on the exact same phrase on the same merged help system. This is very concerning for obvious reasons.

We have a large Responsive HTML5 help system with multiple child helps that is stored on our web server.We're using the latest RH 2017 (13.0.2.334).Some of our beta users are complaining that they can't just scroll to the section they want. What's happening is that when they first access the Index tab, it loads in about a page of keywords. Then when they start to scroll down, it starts to load in a little more, instead of just loading in all the index keywords at once.How can I make it load in all the data at once so they don't have this delay in scrolling? It takes me ~34 seconds to scroll all the way down to the bottom because of this.

We have recently begun using RoboHelp 2015 with Git and we are seeing some strange behavior when we change local repositories and then open the project in RoboHelp. As we would expect, when we change the active repository in Git we can see the project files in our local project directory change, based upon what the active repository contains. The problem is, though, when we then open the project again, after changing the active repository, RoboHelp is displaying changes from the previous active repository.Here is an example from yesterday:Create a new local repository called "Deleting old topics" and delete a bunch of unused topics.Close RoboHelp.Commit the changes in the local repository.In Git, switch to the local master (or to an existing local repository that hasn't been touched in weeks).Verify in Windows Explorer that the deleted files have returned (expected behavior because those files/topics weren't deleted in this repository).Open the project in RoboHelp. Help systems behave just fine in Chrome. In IE 11, nav pane and content pane just display spinners.Followed the solution on this link:  https://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/kb/robohelp-output-issues-ie-11.htmleven though the replacement js files were older than the ones I have. Didn't work.Tried replacing my custom layout with the same layout from a co-worker's system that isn't experiencing the same issues. That didn't help either.And even weirder, one of my systems that I publish from the same project using the same layout works just fine in IE.And ideas on something to try?  I haven't actually uninstalled / reinstalled yet. I'm using RH 2019.0.4. I have a project that needs both HTML5 and printed output. The HTML5 is fine, but the svg files do not show up in the printed documentation. Does anyone have any suggestions? The svg files are a big improvement for the HTML5, which is why I upgraded to RH2019, but I can't use it if those same image files aren't supported in the printed output.

I couldn't find this information anywhere, though I would imagine I'm probably not the first person to encounter this issue... I have some topics where the steps in procedures are presented with numbered lists. I'm using Conditional Build Tags on some of the numbered steps to filter them out when specific filters are applied in the Responsive HTML5 output. When I look at a topic in the preview mode and apply filters, the list numbers automatically renumber to avoid skipping numbers. However, when I generate the output and then apply the filter, the rows disappear as expected, but the numbered lists skip the filtered numbers.For example:This filters as shown in the preview:But in the generated output, the numbering is way off:Is there any way to make this number correctly?

I've seen several approaches on this forum for ways to create a help topic and mask it from specific users, or from everyone except via a link.  However, all those approaches seemed to require creating the help topic in a specific way.  We have a situation where the topic already exists, and we would like to hide it from all users temporarily.  The existing topic is out of date and needs to be revised, but we are unable to revise it until some decisions are made by administrators.  In the meantime, we don't want people misled by the old procedures.  Is there a simple solution for this?Many thanks in advance.Amelia KetzleBusiness Intelligence & Technical ServicesSIU Foundation

Does anyone have any insight into when Adobe will be upgrading RoboHelp Server 10 to remove the Admin tool's dependence upon Flash? I know Flash end of life is scheduled in 2020. I'm concerned as we publish our help project for all versions on RoboHelp Server and if I need to change direction by 2020 I need to start soon.Thanks!Nita
