RoboHelp

One day, RH started closing every 1 minute. I have uninstalled and reinstalled RH, but it is still closing. Sometimes it does not stay open even 1 minute. If I make a change and save, it saves. I have recently upgraded to Visual Studios 2013 and installed the MSSCCI 2013 32 bit. RH was working ok and literally the next day it started closing. After the update, projects would not check-in properly in TFS and I have to manually go to VS and check-in each project. I am not sure if it is all connected or if it is separate issues. Projects and RH are on local drive. Any suggestions?

I've downloaded a trial version of Robohelp 2019.  I can't see a Review option, so can't see how I pdf to send files for review.  Is this in Robohelp 2019?

I was able to install RoboHelp 2017 and run it, but the application does not launch on subsequent attempts.  It dies silently in the Task Manager.If there is a log file for startup errors, I will be happy to look for it.

We have a Responsive HTML5 project. When we generate the output and check-in the files in the respository there are a lot of unknown files that are generated with the output for example here are a few:Responsive HTML5/whxdata/searchAuto_Model_11.js/Responsive HTML5/whxdata/searchAuto_Model_12.jsResponsive HTML5/whxdata/searchAuto_Model_13.js/Responsive HTML5/whxdata/searchAuto_Model_2.jsResponsive HTML5/whxdata/searchAuto_Model_3.jsResponsive HTML5/whxdata/package_55_xml.jsResponsive HTML5/whxdata/package_56_xml.jsResponsive HTML5/whxdata/package_57_xml.jsResponsive HTML5/whxdata/package_58_xml.jsResponsive HTML5/whxdata/package_59_xml.jsResponsive HTML5/whxdata/package_5_xml.jsResponsive HTML5/whxdata/package_60_xml.jsAny idea is this normal? What are these files and why do they get generated even when content changes are minimal.

This might be a deal breaker for the Indigo layout. The function buttons are in English, and there doesn't appear to be any way to replace the English text with translated text, or replace the function buttons with icons. Am I missing something? Is there any way to address this, or do I need to find another layout?

I have just opened my new install of RH2019 (New not Classic) on a Windows 10 machine and I can't get the Properties Panel to display. I select View>Properties Panel but nothing happens.I haven't installed any updates yet (as it takes forever to get them through my work support process) but this is so basic that I can't imagine it was a bug.Any ideas?

Hello,tried to update an existing RH Projekt to the new one. Without success. The existing css is empty in the converted version.It is not possible for me to switch the language of the program surface from German to English.Sorry but this seems to be an early beta version.Thank you for your helpThomas

Hello. We designed our online help using drop-down hotspots (this look is much cleaner to us). Problem is, when a user searches for something and clicks the Search results topic page  to find the information, the topic page displays, but does not expand the drop-down hotspot to show the exact location of the searched item. Is there a JavaScript or some other solution to get the DHTML hotspot to expand, showing the information? Thanks.

Our devs are asking if they can delete helpmap.ocx and HHActiveX.dll now that we're no longer using chm helps (We've switched to an HTML5 output). We've been installing those files with our product.Do we need these files with HTML5 output, or can we delete them from our install software?

Hi,RoboHelp Screen capture functionality earlier was taking file name automatically as " CapturedImg1..2...3". But, now I have to manually enter the file name. Please let me know what settings needs to be done and from where I can do this settings so that screen capture automatically takes the file name.

Began using a trial of RH11 today and am experimenting with Responsive HTML5. I am trying to understand how to use a newly downloaded/imported screen layout while setting up a new single source Responsive HTML5 layout. I downloaded the screen layout from the Adobe site, which was a single file in a zip file. I unzipped the layout file to the same download folder and imported the extracted file into the Screen Layouts folder in the Project Set-up pod within RH11.  Then while working in the Responsive HTML5 Settings window, clicked Gallery and expected to see the newly imported layout as an option there. The layout does not display. The layout name does display under the Screen Layouts folder folder in Project Set-up though.How do I get the layout to display in the Gallery? I am wondering if I extracted the layout file to the wrong location? Does it have to be extracted to a folder within my project files such as the SSL folder or within the folder to which the RH11 trial software w

I'm testing the Indigo layout to see if we can use it. I really want the Favorites feature, and this is apparently the only layout that offers it. However, I don't understand this layout. If you view a topic in Mobile view, you can't go to the Table of Contents, Index or Glossary from that topic. You can't filter topics. You can only use Search and add the topic to your Favorites. There are no other icons, unless you switch to tablet view. This can't possibly be right, so I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong.I've gone over the layout multiple times, and can't seem to locate where I would go to display these icons in mobile view. Could someone please point me in the right direction?

Hi Peter,I have a similar issue. I hereby use a customized indigo layout. When I click on the "Click here to see this page link in full context" link I am not redirected to the main help page, instead redirected to the same window. I understand there is a routing issue but I am unable to rectify it.Need your suggestion on this.Thanks

I have around 50 snippets with few lines of text in it. As part of the branding, we are changing the font style and size. How can I define a style and apply to all snippets?When I edit a snippet and define a style it gets applied to only the selected snippet. I want to apply it to all.I am not able to apply a style defined in the master page to the snippet. Any pointers?

I found an article from early 2017 that said Adobe might be offering the Favorites button on the Charcoal Gray layout. Right now you can only get it in the Indigo layout, which doesn't work for what I'm doing. Is there any information about this? Is it in development? Is there an ETA?

I've just downloaded RoboHelp 2019 after using RoboHelp 11. I am a novice, for sure, but needing and willing to learn! I need to create a skin with a graphic that I've created. How do I do that? Where can I go to learn how to create a skin that I can import into RoboHelp 2019?

I've created a style sheet and applied the hyperlink attributes to it, but I would like to control the color of a hyperlink when you drag a topic onto text. I'd rather have that color be correct automatically, rather than having to apply the Hyperlink style every time I create a link. Where do I go to do this? I'm using HTML5 in Robohelp 2017.

Issue: The Responsive Help > Printed Doc output "cannot find Microsoft Word installed"Upgraded my Robo projects from Robo 10 (Win 7) to Robo 2017 (Win 10). fyi, I did not have this issue in Robo 10.Robo 17 is updated/current, 13.0.2.334Robo 17 is being run on Dell Latitude 7480 on Win 10 (64 bit)Word 2016 is 32-bit, MSO 16Robohelp is pointing correctly to Word, i.e. The Robo file association is pointing to the correct winword.exe path/folder/executable. By File Association, I mean the option to associate docx for editing/viewing: the correct path shows - c:\program files (x86)\microsoft office\root\Office16\WINWORD.EXEI added an association for .doc just in case.  Nothing changed.I tried to generate printed output for my projects and also a sample project - in each case the message about cannot find word installed displayed immediately. I have not be able to find where I can change the Header contents. I can change the Logo using the Skin Component "Header" Logo field, but where can I change -for example - "Employee Care 3" to: "my company's name", "Welcome to our Help Center" to: "Welcome to Company Name's Help Center", and "What can we help you with today" to "What would you like to do today?"I swear I saw some 'behind the scenes' editing of (Properties? layouts? Customization?) beyond the standard Skin Components somewhere, but can't find it in the forums or RoboHelp's Help. Am I just not looking at the right Skin Component?I edited projectsettings.js, but that gets overwritten every time I generate my project.Following the sample project, I assume "Employee Care 3" is the project's title, but changing the "Project Title" in my project's Project Settings does not change the header.This is a merged project if that makes any difference.Thanks in advance.

Our RoboHelp Server Configuration Manager only list one context, the default /roboHelp to which our projects - both WebHelp Pro & Responsive HTML5 - have published to in the past. Recently we've noticed that our projects are publishing into a "rh" context. We did not create this context, not knowingly anyway. Additionaly, this 'rh' context does not appear as an option in the context drop-down list. We only see /robohelp.As far as I can tell, this rh context and publishing behavior started happening after we installed the Update 1 patch for RH Server 10. We are running RH Server 10.0.1.237 with Tomcat 8.5. And were using RH 2017.Any ideas on how to delete the 'rh' context sense we can't select it in the Configuration Mngr? At this point the only thing I can think of is to reinstall the RH server software.

User wants to export all or part of published Help to Word or PDF.

Hello,is it possible to add custom buttons or links to a template to link on other urls? Is it possible to link the logo to the root of the website other than to the start of this robohelp project? This all was possible in webhelp.Thank your for your help.Thomas
