Issue: The Responsive Help > Printed Doc output "cannot find Microsoft Word installed"Upgraded my Robo projects from Robo 10 (Win 7) to Robo 2017 (Win 10). fyi, I did not have this issue in Robo 10.Robo 17 is updated/current, 13.0.2.334Robo 17 is being run on Dell Latitude 7480 on Win 10 (64 bit)Word 2016 is 32-bit, MSO 16Robohelp is pointing correctly to Word, i.e. The Robo file association is pointing to the correct winword.exe path/folder/executable. By File Association, I mean the option to associate docx for editing/viewing: the correct path shows - c:\program files (x86)\microsoft office\root\Office16\WINWORD.EXEI added an association for .doc just in case.  Nothing changed.I tried to generate printed output for my projects and also a sample project - in each case the message about cannot find word installed displayed immediately. Same result when I tried generating an old (ported) printed doc output.  I generate to Responsive (charcoal grey), to my local drive.Becau

Is there an output in RoboHelp 2017 or 2019 that does not use frames. We need to get rid of frames for SEO reasons.Terry

I have not be able to find where I can change the Header contents. I can change the Logo using the Skin Component "Header" Logo field, but where can I change -for example - "Employee Care 3" to: "my company's name", "Welcome to our Help Center" to: "Welcome to Company Name's Help Center", and "What can we help you with today" to "What would you like to do today?"I swear I saw some 'behind the scenes' editing of (Properties? layouts? Customization?) beyond the standard Skin Components somewhere, but can't find it in the forums or RoboHelp's Help. Am I just not looking at the right Skin Component?I edited projectsettings.js, but that gets overwritten every time I generate my project.Following the sample project, I assume "Employee Care 3" is the project's title, but changing the "Project Title" in my project's Project Settings does not change the header.This is a merged project if that makes any difference.Thanks in advance.

Our RoboHelp Server Configuration Manager only list one context, the default /roboHelp to which our projects - both WebHelp Pro & Responsive HTML5 - have published to in the past. Recently we've noticed that our projects are publishing into a "rh" context. We did not create this context, not knowingly anyway. Additionaly, this 'rh' context does not appear as an option in the context drop-down list. We only see /robohelp.As far as I can tell, this rh context and publishing behavior started happening after we installed the Update 1 patch for RH Server 10. We are running RH Server 10.0.1.237 with Tomcat 8.5. And were using RH 2017.Any ideas on how to delete the 'rh' context sense we can't select it in the Configuration Mngr? At this point the only thing I can think of is to reinstall the RH server software.

Hello,is it possible to add custom buttons or links to a template to link on other urls? Is it possible to link the logo to the root of the website other than to the start of this robohelp project? This all was possible in webhelp.Thank your for your help.Thomas

I may be posing the question wrong, but I am writing for a software development company.REQUIREMENT:When users are on a particular screen, they press F1 and the appropriate help topic displays. The files are created RoboHelp 2017, output as a CHUM file, which is included in the software files.ISSUE:However, I have a need to know the IDs of the screen, boxes, windows, pages, etc. so that I can add new help files for new screens or remove help files for screens that no longer exist or have a name change.In my previous experience, I've been doing this manually where I send a .h file with the map files or I receive the screen names from the developers.I am now finding that the last person in this position used a type of API to query the software and return the necessary information and perform the mapping - and did not need to get the information from the developers for manual entry.QUESTION: Does anyone know know of such an API - preferably an industry standard solution that is safe and s

i have a MS HTML help output and a printed documentation. Each have their respective ToCs.In  the ToC I can manually move the topics up and down. I have many topics so wanted to know if we can sort them by any means?If nothing then manual is the only option.

I'd recommend not trying to widen the topic properties panel on the right side of RH2019.Mostly it refuses to move, but if you succeed in grabbing it, you'll copy the text and buttons from the panel into your open topic. ('scuse the green background. I was trying to troubleshoot my stylesheet.)

Does anyone know how to connect Pages to Bookmarks in Robohelp 2019? Whenever I create a bookmark, I can't see the bookmark icon like I used to in RH17. On top of that, if I go into my TOC and create a Page, to link my page I go search in my Contents, find my file, and then can't see any of the bookmarks that I created. Why was this feature taken away from RH17. What do I need to do to be able to link my bookmarks to Pages?

I'm trying to configure my output in RH2019. I created a new HTML5 pre-set using the Indigo Skin. I click on edit and nothing happens.Trying to follow the instructions here, but I can't get to any of these settings. Generate Responsive HTML5 output in RoboHelp Appreciate any help!

Hi  -  I think Robohelp will make a good output for our sales manuals. I'm looking for some good examples of professional WebHelp systems online, to demo to management. We have a lot of manuals and guides, I think they would be merged.And it's proprietary- so, besides examples, I need to know, can I protect them so the user has to click "ok" in the licensing in order to read them? Hello everyone,I'm writing a HTML5-Help with filters and in RH2017 I defined a preselected filter, e.g. you have the filter option "iOS" and "Windows" and I defined activeted filter "Windows" by default. This worked with RH2017.After the upgrade to RH2019 I don't see the option to define a preselection of the filter. Is this option removed in RH2019 or do I just don't find it in the new UI?Thanks for your help.

trying to import a Word document (200 pages or so).  It's worked about 10% of the time.  Usually, after 30 seconds of waiting, the window turns white, with the menu bar still visible (File, Edit, View, Collaborate, etc.), but otherwise no longer responsive.Anyone else experiencing this?I submitted a bug report.

We are trying to use SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint 2013 Classic to check in documents and are getting the attached errors. We cannot figure out what the error means in order to troubleshoot.

Using Robohelp 11, when publishing webhelp to the 'merged projects' folder, a masterdata.xml file is not created.  When I then open the html file to read the help text I just created, there is an error message on screen stating 'unable to read masterdata.xml.Does anyone know what creates the masterdata.xml file when publishing help files to the merged projects folder please?Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Everyone, Wondering if anyone can help me with an error message I'm seeing in RoboHelp 2019 (not classic). I don't understand what the message is saying or what the problem is.I pasted images into a topic. In Author view the topic looks fine. In Preview view I can see broken image links. Because these are missing from Author view I can't delete them. When I look at Source view there is an error message.In Source View:I see an error message but I don't know what an alt attribute is, why it might be missing, nor how to fix the issue. "An alt attribute must be present on <img> elements. "In Author View the page looks perfectly fine:In Preview View the page is not OK:I have saved all changes, even closed and reopened RH.  Note that the "unsaved changes asterisk" is missing and that corroborates that changes made to the topic are saved: Does anyone know what's going on here?Thank you!

I'm using the latest RH 2017.Our Help system contains a bunch of merged child helps (using the Responsive HTML5 output) that are generated into the mergedProjects folder under the parent. These helps., use Dynamic Filters as well, one for each child help. When I manually open each xpj inside RH, and I generate the help systems from their respective Responsive HTML5 SSL using RH's interface, the Helps merge together fine, and the filters work properly.However, when I use my batch file using RHCL (RoboHelp Command Line) to generate the outputs, the child helps do generate successfully, but they are not merged together completely even though they're generating their outputs into the same location (into the mergedProjects folder). Because of this, the child helps do not appear when I click on the Filter tab and each help is separate.Does anyone else see this bug? Or am I just doing something wrong on my end?I really hope I can find a workaround or that Adobe can fix it, because with RHCL I

I'm in Robohelp 2017. I'm using corporate-approved icons, so I can't swap them out for other images. I'm editing the Charcoal Gray layout, and the icons look fine in Desktop view. I saved the same icon as every view, in both active and passive, so it's exactly the same icon throughout. However, when I display the same icons in Tablet or Mobile view, they stretch horizontally. The most noticeable ones are the Index and Glossary icons. I tried editing the image size so it was stretched vertically to counteract the distortion. A also tried adjusting the canvas size and the image size in Photoshop. However, the icons still look exactly the same.Desktop IconsTablet Icons

Hi all,I am using RoboHelp 11 and RoboHelp Server 9.Some of my ToC books are not opening, but the rest are working just fine. I have these same books on a different project, and they're opening fine. Both projects are published on the same server but in different areas. They have been working just fine up until this point.Thank you!

I'm editing the Charcoal Gray layout for HTML5. I indicated that there should be a red border in the tablet view when an icon is active. It works on everything except Search. When you click Search, it's red at the top for about an inch, and the rest of the border is black. Has anyone experienced this before? I can't think of how to correct it.

I've just updated to the latest version of RoboHelp 2019, and managed to import projects by deleting the XPJ and CPD (or they won't import...).But now my project has lost all it's variables. this isn't an issue for this particular project, but one of our larger projects has multiple flavours of help, with a complex and lengthy series of variables, probably 200 or so.So it's back to waiting for update #2? The stupid thing is I like the new version of RH, it seems intuitive to use. But I can't upgrade until they find a way to deal with the existing functionality, or I'm going to waste time I don't have recreating something that already works.

I know we can add a watermark in MS Word. Is it possible to add one directly in RH?

I tried to take the PDF from a CHM file and i am getting Script Error. The chm has 12 topics. I am getting script error for 3 topics. Kindly help.
