I created a workflow process in Visio, saved it as a .png and inserted it into a Robohelp topic. I applied image maps (hot spots) to each box in the workflow to link to those topics. When I resize the browser to see how it will look for a tablet or smart phone, the image doesn't resize smaller when the browser does. It only resizes when the hot spots are removed.Is there any source code or any way I can make the hot spots relative so they shrink with the image? What's a good solution to create a linked image that shrinks to size on a smart phone or tablet?

Hello,I'm having scripting errors when using the TOC in the Indigo screen layout. The error doesn't happen on all TOC items; just a few of them.The error is "Syntax Error 19530" in ../template/scripts/rh_min.js.The errors happen in child projects. This may be a red herring I don't know. The child projects are published below the '../mergedProjects/' folder.Has anyone experienced this?

Hi there,I am trying to Insert a Captivate HTML 5 output in a project.I can choose the option HTML5 in the window when inserting Captivate piece but when choosing the index.html file I end up with a placeholder swf file inserted. Is that normal?Thank you in advanceB

Has anyone upgraded from RoboHelp 10 to RoboHelp 2017?  What was your experience pros/cons?  Did you run into problems? What kind?  I know I asked a lot of questions, basically I would like a summary of your experience in upgrading and converting projects from 10 to 17. 

If we have videos hosted on youtube or brainshark or some other video hosting site and we have a URL to play the video directly, can we in RH 2017 Responsive HTML5 insert a reference to that video as a thumbnail?After you insert a reference to the video, it should shown a small thumbnail with the play button overlayed on it. When you click Play, it should start playing the video. We can maximize if required.In short, we want to avoid video baggage files in the source but we want to reference an existing hosted video.Any suggestions/pointers if this is possible?..........-Tejas

Hey All,I'm using Sharepoint Online, with the "Responsive HTML5" layout. I know that RoboHelp cannot publish directly to Sharepoint Online, so in the Sharepoint section, under Advanced Options, I have Generate SharePoint Native Output before Publishing checked. I have the result generating to a local folder, which I eventually upload to a document library on Sharepoint.  When I open index.aspx in Internet Explorer (from it's local location, not Sharepoint Online), I get the following error:The XML page cannot be displayed Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. I am having an issue with IE compatibility mode which is causing a Jquery script not to function. This meta tag seems to solve the problem:  <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge"> Is it possible to get Robohelp to automatically add this meta tag: to the index.htm page. I have tried adding this tag to the HTML header of specific topics, but it only seems to work when added to the header of the index.htm file. Is it possible to get Robohelp to do this without having to update the index.htm file after generating? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi there,I've combed through the Adobe RH forums for the answer, and have only found discussions around this subject that advise you to download the latest Indigo layout or update their version of RoboHelp.  I think I have done both but may need some further guidance? The issue is, when using the Responsive HTML5 'Indigo' layout, the 'breadcrumb' navigational feature at the top of the articles are not working, or occasionally lead to incorrect mapping.  (see my screenshot below)  Everything else on the page (sidebar navigation etc.) works like a charm.Here are the specs of our RoboHelp, just recently updated:  RoboHelp 2017 Ver 13.0.2.334I need to deliver this project for a major government project and I'm still feeling my way through RoboHelp (self-teaching myself as I go along)  This forum has been an incredible resource, thank you all so much for your advice!  (go easy on a newbie) Cheers,Billy

Hello...When I navigate from the Home page to the Topics page, it displays the individual topics in tiles (like the front page) and then after load it goes to the topic view with table of contents. The transition between tiles and standard topic view takes about a second or two, but the lag is noticeable enough to drive you crazy. It seems to do it on the main topic that contains the subtopics. There are two subtopics mapped into the main page and when I click on the tile, it goes directly to those. I'm wondering if this is an issue with the content mapping and it containing a lot of content.Thanks,Alex

In prev versions of webhelp I could insert a visio process in webhelp topic, add hyperlinks to topics then click on visio to make minor updates to process map as required. How can I edit process maps in RH webhelp 20017? Don't want to recreate visio process map each time a minor change is required.

Is there a way to auto expand the Topic-Content pane based on content? Instead of having to use the scroll bar inside the pane to navigate the topic content, the pane would extend based on its content. Also, would the same solution work for the TOC? Hi All - I've been putting the finishing touches on my current project for work, and realized that on some of my sections that contain a lot of books and topics, the homepage TOC isn't showing the TOC items correctly when mimicking the "mobile" view. I did some counting, and it appears after ~14 items (books or topic pages) a new column is created. However, on sections with < ~14 items (books of topic pages) it displays as expected - one nice column. Below are some screenshots to help explain what I'm seeing. Hello to all,I'm having problems with a .cpd file in Robohelp 2017. It's currently 243Mb in size, but I can't deleted and regenerate it. I've tried renaming it and deleting it, but nothing seems to work. I get the following errors when I try to open a new project after the .cpd file has been deleted:     A new .cpd file is created and is about 836Kb in size. The project runs through its start up but hangs at the 'ready' stage. If I then try to reopen another project everything opens, but the ToC is missing and all other links are broken. If I then close this down, reinsert the massive .cpd file it loads ok and rebuilds the project, but is still very sluggish. If there is anyone out there who can help and offer advice I'd be very grateful. Phill

Hi -I am running RoboHelp 2015 and am generating Responsive HTML help.I have defined a glossary and an index. I also made sure the Outputs (SSL) -> Responsive HTML5 settings under the content tab refer to the correct glossary and index respectively.  However, when I generate the Output both the glossary and index are blank.  What am I doing wrong?

Why do we do this? After we create conditional build tags and expressions on one machine, the other team members cannot see those tags and expressions unless they delete (or rename) their local CPDs and re-launch RoboHelp. Hello, I had started authoring a Webhelp project using Robohelp 8, and have recently upgraded to Robohelp v12 (2015). The project contains roughly 500 topics, and is supposed to provide context-sensitive help for our Javascript-based application. Prior to upgrading Robohelp, when CS help is called from within the application (running on IE11), the CS help appears in a dynamic sized window displaying the topic related to the screen from which it was called (I used the CS Help tool in RH8 to link up map IDs to topics). Now that the project has been opened in and upgraded to RH12, the CS help calls no longer work as they once did. Now, when a user clicks the ? button in the app on any given screen, a separate window opens to the Welcome topic (the project's default landing page) and displays the TOC in the left pane, instead of launching the individual topic tied to the screen from which it's called. Hello, I am using the Ocean layout in the 2017 release of RoboHelp (v13.0.0.257). My question is about how I can insert a [>] symbol to separate breadcrumbs text that is now running together, as shown in the image below.I have actually done this already in a previous project using the same layout, but I cannot remember how I did this before.

1. First of all make a clean simple Word template. To do that,Modify the default paragraph styles that you cannot delete them, like Headings,Create new paragraph styles for each line of your multilevel list/s and name them rationally (don't make list style, just for each level of your multilevel list define an individual paragraph style),Delete the extra paragraph styles you don't need them (for those you cannot delete it's better to remove from Quick Style List).   So at the end you will have something like this:2. Now in RoboHelp:Modify the default CSS sheet or create a new CSS and define all the paragraph styles you need and are NOT part of the multilevel list like Headings and Normal. You can do it by modifying those styles that already built or by creating new styles. Using Indigo layout with merged project using RH 2017 and just downloaded newest Indigo layout in hopes of fixing search not finding results consistently in Chrome and Edge. I thought maybe it was because the New Indigo layout is not displaying the "Include all words in search" option. Any idea of what I am doing wrong?

Hi, I've finally upgraded from RH10 to RH2017. WootI've set up my screen layout (Charcoal Grey), but there are some elements that I understand I'll need to get into the SCSS to change. I've watched Willam's "Get Geeky with SCSS" webinar, which was very helpful. But I have a total newbie question:Does making changes in the SCSS overwrite changes made in the RH layout editor? Hello,Our company has been experiencing issues with the context sensitive help loading over and over again when opened. We are using RoboHelp 2017. We are hosting our help online on our password protected website. We would like the context sensitive help to open the website page.
