HiI am generating a file as Word using Printed Documentation.However the word file has duplicated the topics and content so they appear twice instead of once.I can't find the cause of it.I'm using RH 2017.Any ideas how I can resolve this problem?Kind regardsMessage was edited by Peter Grainge. RoboHelp for Word is an old program that no longer ships. You are using RoboHelp to produce a Word document, not the same thing.

I have some Storyline videos that I need to embed in a RoboHTML project. When I embed it using an iframe, it plays in preview, but not when published and uploaded to my  website. My output in Storyline is HTML5 but I do not want to output using Flash as it is not supported in all browsers now. Can anyone provide suggestions on how I can embed these Storyline videos within my Robohelp project?Thanks!

Hi everybody,I just want to know if there is a way to do a modification in a topic but don't want to apply it right now and make this modification active for a future date. We have a lot of content and updates coming for different moment.As an example:Today i receive a modification for my topic A that needs to be effective for 2018-11, but tomorrow i receive another modification for the topic B that needs to be effective immediately. I don't want to have the modification of the topic A published before the right moment but i need to do it in advance to not lost track of modifications that are coming in.The best way i've found is to add a conditional tag for the content not the appear and the day that i need to add it, just remove the tag. This seems to me unproductive because i need to keep track and to do a step manually for each topic.If anybody have a better way or know a functionnality of Robohelp that i didn't found, please let me know.Thank you very much

Hello,Can we handle such a scenario by using any properties in RH?We have a responsive help output: http://help.ipaddress.com/productname/page.htmWe have 2 clients Client A and Client B.Client A should view Topic 1 through Topic 20.Client B should view Topic 1 through Topic 20, except, Topic 7 and Topic 13.Challenge: We have a static help URL that is common to all viewers/users. Is it possible to filter content based on the client and topic?Any suggestions/pointers would be helpful.

What it says on the box - has anyone managed to integrate Zoom in the Charcoal Grey responsive layout in RH 2017? I read through Peter Grainge's instructions for Indigo (Zoom in RoboHelp) but that particular skin doesn't work for the kind of help we are delivering. I know it's not a trivial thing, but I figured it doesn't hurt to ask.

I have published a previous project and created a new project. The new project has a default topic. FOr the other topics I am redirecting it to the previous project.The TOC and index of the new projects is pointing (using URL) to the former project. But when i compile the webhelp, search tab appears blank. The objective is to search the keywords from the URL links. Please advice.

How to I Expand ALL and Collapse ALL drop-down dropdown text.Doesn't RoboHelp have any method to allow all drop-down text links to expand ALL, or collapse ALL.  There are times were uses want to view all content, rather than being forced to click to open each category.

I have a script for webtrends tracking that I need to add to my master page header in RoboHelp 2015. The script does not have "https:" or "http:". It simply has "//www.abc.ca..." and it is supposed to automatically pick up both http and https. Unfortunately after I enter in the script and save the master page, RoboHelp automatically adds "file:" to the front of the "//www.abc.ca..". As soon as this happens, both the tracking does not work and the page becomes unbearably slow as it is trying to find a file that does not exist.Anyone seen this behavior before? Ideas on how I can overwrite the automatic script edit that the program is doing?

Hi all, Using RoboHelp 2015, HTML5 output.  TOC font renders very tiny. Appears normal in Chrome and even Explorer (gasp).  Any idea why this is happening or how to resolve?

I am currently using Robohelp 2015, although we may be upgrading to 2017 in the near future.In the online help, I frequently use drop-down text.The drop-down text is preceded by vertical arrow facing down. I would like to change this to a horizontal arrow that becomes vertical when the user clicks on the link to open the drop-down text.How would I do this in Robohelp?Obviously, I would need to change the icon to a horizontal arrow. What do I need to do next to make the arrow rotate after the user clicks on the drop-down link?

I created my project in Rh 2015 and used a multiscreen HTML output, but upon upgrade to Rh 2017 I would like to use a responsive HTML output.When generating the responsive HTML output, a font in the topic pages does not render correctly, specifically, Arial Narrow. I have Arial Narrow baggage files in the project, so I am not sure why the responsive HTML output won't render it even as the multiscreen HTML output looks fine.Multiscreen HTMLResponsive HTMLThe responsive HTML skin looks just fine, BTW. No complaints. It's just the rendition of Arial Narrow in the topic pages that has me baffled.

Hi!Not unlike the comment of a user having a similar issue with RoboHelp 8, I have just had the latest versions of these programs installed and when I try to import a FrameMaker file into RoboHelp, RoboHelp advises me that I need to install FrameMaker.Any suggestions on how I might fix this?Thank you!

Is there a way to add a hyperlink to an external PDF without creating a baggage file? The baggage files seem to be taking up to much memory and slowing things way down within Robohelp .

Unfortunately after spending a significant amount of time on a topic (Responsive HTML5 format) I seem to have lost all the content. I put my computer in standby mode, but later restarted it, and I can only assume I hadn't saved the file in question. So frustrating.Is there a location for temp files that I might be able to recover from? And for future reference, is there an autosave feature that I can set to save all unsaved files every so many minutes?

Hi,I have created a project that contains bookmark links to locations both within the same topic and to locations in a different topic. When I generate the project in Responsive layout, the links do not work in mobile browsers (Safari, Chrome). They work fine on desktop.First, or links within the same topic, pressing on the links in the mobile browser shows that some additional text is added to the link in the form: ?random=1b1falkfh... This text is included after the ".htm" of the link parent topic and before the "#" of the bookmark.For example, a link to the bookmark "step_c" shows:  http://www.mysite.com/manual/topic_2.htm?random=1b1fbn7fl_0egkh2j80#step_cSecond, links to a different topic simply go to the top of that topic, not to the bookmark. These links do not appear to be corrupted, they just don't function properly.I generated this same project as Webhelp and these links all work properly in mobile browsers. It seems as though the Responsive layout is corrupting the bookm

We have context sensitive help links from our software to our help site. On William's site, it recommends to have the CSH URL from the software in the form www.helpsite.com/index.htm?rhcsh=1&rhmapno=10. However, I've found that www.helpsite.com/topic.htm?rhcsh=1&rhmapno=10 also works (replacing index.htm with topic.htm). Does anyone know of a reason NOT to use topic.htm in the URL? This method looks better to me as it reduces the number of redirects a user sees before the help topic is displayed, but maybe I'm missing something.I'm using HTML5 layouts in RH 2017.

Hi everyone,I researched the RoboHelp forum on this issue and found that the recommended way to add photos to RoboHelp is to insert them. I didn't know that, so I've been using Snagit to capture my images and then pasting them into RoboHelp. I know RoboHelp has an image capture feature, but out of habit, I stuck with Snagit.I have some questions:In many cases, I have image 106.gif and image 106.png, and these are two completely different images. Can someone tell me why these have the same number and also why one is .gif and one is .png?Many of my images appear in the Images folder in Project Manager, but many are outside of the Images folder in Project Manager. RoboHelp will not allow me to move the outlier images to the Images folder. Why?Is it possible to rename these images within Project Manager without messing something up? Or would you recommend I leave things as they are?Lastly, since it appears the recommended way to add images is to insert them, do you also recommend I use Rob

We are on the latest service pack.I follow the Help instructions to create a WebHelp skin:Right-click on Skins folder in Output Setup.Select Create Custom WebHelp skin.In WebHelp Skin Editor, make a minor change to the background color and click OK.Click Update View.Click OK.In Save As dialog box, enter name of this skin and the file name and click OK.Nothing appears in the Skins folder in RoboHelp or when I look in the folder in Windows Explorer.Is this feature broken for WebHelp in RH 2015 or is there something I'm missing here?Thanks.Carol Levine

RoboHelp HTMLRoboHelp 2017Is there a way to set RoboHelp so that any hyperlinks which appear in popups are disabled? Here is what I am doing...I created a straightforward topic Terms and Definitions. I link terms from one definition to other terms in the same file. For example, I have defined Trailer as a term, and I have defined Tractor as a term. Within the definition for Trailer, I refer to Tractor; within the definition for Tractor, I refer to Trailer. From within the Tractor definition, I have set the hyperlink to the Trailer definition to display that definition in a custom-sized popup of 400x300. These hyperlinks work just great, except for one thing: within the popup displaying the definition for Trailer, the hyperlink that refers to Tractor is hot. If I click that hyperlink, RoboHelp opens another popup within the current popup, but it is blank. What setting must I use to remove hyperlinks in popups?  Or what settings am I missing to prevent nested popups?This is a sectio

Does anyone know how to display/add the image typically used to indicate that the link opens to an external site?  I'm thinking of a square with an arrow coming out of the corner, or something like that.  I'm concerned about spacing and sizing as the hyperlink is within a sentence. Hello All,I've been using RoboHelp 11 since 2014 after initially downloading the trial version and then buying a licence online. As such, I have never had an installation CD. The installation files were all downloaded in 2014.I have been allocated a new laptop and tried to install RoboHelp 11 on the new laptop. I used the original install files. However, the install throws up the following errors:    When I open RoboHelp and try to edit an html file, the editor does not launch - obviously because RoboHelp has not been installed correctly/the install has unresolved errors.  Would appreciate any advice on how to go about fixing this....Many thanks in advance!- Sophie

Hi,I'm authoring a help system in RH15. The output is Responsive HTML 5, and the help will be running on the latest versions of IE and Chrome in my company.I have a topic that's supposed to open in a new browser tab. I don't want the navigation pane to appear, and it doesn't, but a "Show" link appears in the upper-left corner of the window. Is there a way to remove that link from the topic so it doesn't appear on the page? I don't see any reference to it in the HTML code for the topic, and I haven't found a setting yet for this kind of thing. Any ideas? Thanks, as always!Tim HuddlestonCharlotte, NC
