Hi, I am starting a trial of Robohelp. We need to generate PDF and Word output using a custom Google font, EXO.The font is installed in the machine and available to all apps but Robohelp. How can I add this font to it?Regards, François

Every now and then when we publish a RoboHelp 2015 project we get the following error message:Publishing has been cancelled.The process cannot access the file becdause it is being used by another process.We do not cancel the publishing, RoboHelp does and it is very discouraging. Why does this message happen and what can we do to stop it from happening again so that we can publish and move onto the next Help File update.Any help you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated!Thanks,Robert

Can you add custom CSS and JS to the Indigo layout Topic "content"? I have added custom CSS and JS and it applies it to the Header and Menu, but it does not change the Topic content. I want to incorporate CSS and JS to change the Topic font and customize Related Links, Parent Topics, Notes, etc. I tried changing the font only, but that only changes the Header and Menu.

Hi,Is it possible for to give text indents for child block in TOC?  I do not want to add margins since I need a line below the text.

Hi, RoboHelp experts,I am new to RoboHelp.I changed the Screen Layout, enable social button, but after generate with the customized layout, I cannot see the social buttons.And, how to change the url for the social buttons?Is there any way I can add a customized button, like download button beside the Print button, or can I change the action of the Print button.Thanks for any advise from you.

We have a project that keeps getting removed from RSC.  I just made a new folder, pulled a clean copy, put a space in a topic to verify it would check out, all ok.  Rebooted my computer and attempted to open the same project and it indicates it has been removed from version control.We just upgraded to RH 2017 a few weeks back.  We added a new user. We installed the RSO3 middle tier patch to the new computer. All of us are running Windows 7 64. All of us have RH2017. 2 of us are coming in via VPN. None of these problems occurred (even with this project) prior to RH2017.Haven't tried to see what the person local to the server see's when he opens the project but that would potentially open a different issue since he has not worked on this project.If I add to version control after opening the project it goes strangely fast and then the other person is prompted with "project has been removed from version control."We are both deleting our .cpd file when the project opens (chec

HiI'm currently updating an Arabic translation of the help for one of our products using RH 2015 (patched to date) on Windows 10. I should mention that this is legacy help which started as Microsoft HTML Help. I have two issues that I haven't been able to fix.- I got the translated files and integrated them into the project, however, it seems as if any sentence (in both the new and the legacy files) that contains an English word is not correctly switched RTL. The sentence is switched correctly up to the English word and then the RTL formatting stops. The result is at best a confusing jumble and at times actually has the opposite meaning of the original sentence. Words that do not translate, such as the company name, appear in UI labels and need to appear in procedures.- The second problem is with bullets and numbering. I have yet to find a way to make the bullets and numbers appear on the right rather than the left of a line. The original method used was to create a table and confine t

HiI liked the Indigo Layout. I would like to use it. But, I would like to customize it. I have seen the Customize Selected Layout option.I am not able to see the option which can allow me to change the Layout in my own way.For example, if I want the TOC on the left side, I don't see any option.If I want to keep the desired topics below the search box, I don't see any option. Though, I can control the number of rows or number of topics.Is there any other way I can customize according to my need this layout.Thanks,Jignesh Shah

I've uploaded all my content (as Word documents which I imported) and need to apply some edits. I decided to make all edits within RoboHelp, rather than doing it in the Word documents themselves, and overwriting all the files, as I thought this might be easier. However, when I imported all my Word docs, I noticed that there is a space in the formatting which I can't seem to erase.The light blue square above is a different shade of blue. When I click on the space to select it, and then hover over it, I can see that it's a "linebreaker".When I hit the delete key, the entire row (line) disappears. When I try to add it back by placing the cursor in front of the letter K, and pressing CTRL + Enter, the line appears again, but now there is a new icon there. How can I delete the Page Break icon? Or will this not appear once this content has been published to the server?

When I am in RoboHelp and open my project the folder and files do not appear in HTML Files (Topics) folder.However, if I open the project in Windows Explorer, I can see the folder and the htm files.How can I get access to these files in the project again?And what would make this happen?Thanks,MDawn

Hi. I am generating user guides in the Responsive HTML5 output. Once the guide displays for me, I am seeing the following at the bottom of all my topic pages:"This is a placeholder for topic contents".I have removed all spaces at the bottom of my topics but the message still displays.I can see the code for this in the screen layout editor but I am not a programmer and am afraid to remove the section for fear of things not displaying correctly.What causes this message to display?Thank you,Michele

How can I remove the Location column from the search results in a .chm file?I generated the file in Robohelp HTML 9. As far as I know it's used when you've combined more than one source into the final help file. It is possible (though I don't remember doing it) that I did that once a couple of years ago but now I'm only using one source - the project that's generating the .chm.Can anyone tell me how I can remove it?ThanksTom

Hi all,I was playing around with the tools in RH11 and turned on Bug Hunter just to have a look. Now I can't turn it off.When I start RH and open a project I get the message "HTML Help Bughunter cannot be enabled while the Microsoft HTML Help Workshop is running." I haven't started HTML Help Workshop, so I'm unsure why it's insisting it's running. So I click on OK (which is the only option in the message box) then select  Tools > Enable Bughunter to try to deselect the option. But instead I get the same message as above and the option remains selected.Any ideas/hacks for turning the thing off again?

I recently got a new PC at work and instead of reinstalling RoboHelp 2015, I installed RoboHelp 2017. After opening my project and reconnecting with the version control, etc., I generated the customized Multiscreen HTML5 layout that I use.After it generates, when I open the index.html for the site, it opens up blank. I ran into an issue that folks had previously reported already for RH11 (see RH 11 cmd line: Error: Failed to scan all the project files. Unexpected Error: Failed to prepare single sourceMy project generates the configured SSLs just fine from within the RH2015 GUI. I migrated the project from RH11 when the command line still worked. Migrating to RH2015 gave me a lot of hassle but I eventually got it working. Now, my last hurdle to overcome is getting the command line build to work.The error on the command line simply states. It pretty much occurs right away:Error: Failed to scan all the project files. Please use RoboHelp to recover the project.Unexpected Error: Failed to prepare single source data for RHCL. Please try to compile it in RoboHelp.I have not yet tried the recommendation from the linked discussion where people suggested to verify each and every .FPJ file and make sure it's consistent with the file system. Hello,We are considering upgrading from RH 2015 to RH 2017, and I have started our trial period. It looks to me like it stresses HTML5, but we've been using Web Help for our output SSL. I see a couple of advantages to 2017, such as installing entire folders into the baggage files folder and having the option to use thumbnails for images, etc., but are there really any significant advantages to upgrading?Also, I've noticed that the .css files sit in the Project Files folder along with the topics. How do I import a .css file?

I originally had a few topics synced to an external folder at a shared location.  I no longer wanted to sync the topics, so I deleted them from Resource Manager.  A blue sync icon remains on each topic in Project Manager.  Not sure if this means the topics still have sync properties. What is the process for 'un'syncing a topic?

We are using RH 2017 version control with three users. This morning one of the users noticed that all the topics he has created have been removed from version control. The folders are still there but they are empty (except for a .css file) and it is the same for the project on our local machines (all three). Has anyone else experience this? What would cause the files to be deleted w/o any of us specifically deleting them? We are currently working with IT to retrieve the files from our daily backup and hopefully that will be successful, but knowing the cause would be extremely useful.

I generate and integrate Web Help with the applicationI recently noticed that on Google Chrome browser (latest version) the context sensitive help works seamlessly.On IE, the context sensitive help launches correctly but the search does not work.The version of IE that I use is: 11.0.9600.18537By search does not work, I mean that the under the search tab when I type a rod and try to click the Go button, the button shows unclickable. Nothing happens on a click.I recently installed update 2. Is it because of this?Has anyone come across such an issue?

Hello! I have a WebHelp project that I'm currently getting Google Analytics data on (yay for Master Pages!), but can't figure out how to get Site Search Tracking to work within the pages. I've tried multiple query parameters (rhsearch,s,r) but it's not recording anything. Am I missing something here as it has worked fine in the past on HTML5 projects? Is this a limitation to WebHelp only? If so, is there a workaround (or another search product we should be using)?Thank you in advance!

I've recently upgraded from TCS1 to TCS4. I generate WebHelp output and have had no problems before the upgrade. Previously, opening context-sensitive help topics would open in the same browser window as the general help. That is, when a user selects Help>Contents, the entire help opens in a browser window. Then, when the user is on a specific page of the application and wants to see the help for that particular page, pressing F1 would open that particular help topic in the same browser window. Now, though, after the upgrade, whenever a user presses F1 the help first opens in a browser window. The security warning comes up, and after clicking "Allow", the help topic opens in a second browser window. The first browser window is still there, but blank. This is new behavior, since before the upgrade it wouldn't do that. The help topic would open in the same browser window. This is what I need to happen now, but don't know where this is accomplished.
