RoboHelp

Hi,So - long story short, I started with one of the default layouts and heavily customized it using CSS. Everything works just fine in Chrome, but when the output is loaded in IE, the entire page shifts to the left, hiding a bit of the Nav panel on the left and leaving a white space on the right. It looks about the width of a scrollbar, and I tried forcing a scrollbar (as suggested by the folks over on stackexchange) but it hasn't fixed the problem. Sadly, I cannot mandate that our clients use Chrome. Any ideas?

Hi,I am using Responsive HTML5 in Robohelp 2015.The Azure_Blue layout works fine but when the search results are set to appear in the Content section no scroll bar is shown, so you cannot navigate to the search results that are off the screen. Scrollbars are shown when its set to appear in the sidebar. Tried in many different browsers - same result.Is this is bug? Do others get this issue?See screen shot below.Cheers

What is the syntax for calling a webhelp that contains content categories using the API?  I also noticed that no index_csh.htm is generated, can the URL method be used with such a webhelp (i.e., specifying the map number or ID over the URL)?When you use the CSH-Test tool that is provided with RH then an additional field is displayed to enter the name of the category - so evidently the call must be modified in some way to hand over the category name.The help of Robohelp does not appear to contain any information about this.

When the Responsive HTML 5.0 output is opened in a mobile browser or in any browser with a zoom level of 150%, the full TOC is not displayed.I have to click the Hamburger menu twice to display the full TOC menu on the left side bar. Please help.

I upgraded from RH11 to RH15 and my output was Responsive HTML5.  In RH11, the index and glossary separated the words in alphabetical order with a subheading of A, B, C, etc.  When I output in RH15, those separations are gone and now it's one alphabetical list.  Does anyone know how I can get that back?

Hi Everyone, For the last several months I've been working in RoboHelp to stand up a new project for a client. This client utilizes Team Foundation Server (TFS) to store and deploy code to the system. As such, RoboHelp was integrated with TFS via version control so that multiple individuals could access RH from different locations and update content, as necessary.I have found that I am having several issues:1. Multiple files do not appear to be shared or pulled into RH even though they exist on TFS. For instance, I created 2 different Responsive HTML 5 output files and although they exist on TFS after I checked them in, I recently upgraded RH and the files no longer appear in the Outputs pod. Additionally, no one else can get the outputs that I created to appear on their local versions of RH.  Thoughts? -- Some additional files that do not appear to be updated properly via the TFS/RH connection include: WebAppHelp.hhc, any snippets, any output files, rhbuildtag.apj, rhlayout.apj.2

The company I work for uses Drupal for the website. They would like for me to integrate my WebHelp in Drupal. Has anyone tried this? I haven't seen any Drupal modules that import from RoboHelp or whatever. Or perhaps just a way to have a Drupal "wrapper" and frame it around the webhelp?Thanks,Karla

I don't know what the name of the function was in earlier versions - I just knew what icon to click. What I need to do in RH15 is display topics in a browser WITHOUT generating output. I went through every tab in the Customize User Interface dialog, and didn't see anything that looked like it would do this. What is the name of this function, and which tab is it under?Thanks!

I really like the idea of layering content with twisties for online outputs, but when it comes to PDF output, I'm struggling with the best way to deal with them. For example, in my PDF, I don't want a button that says "Show All." First off, I know I did it wrong. Now, I'm trying to clean up my mess in the most time efficient method possible.I inserted images with cut and paste.  The images were stored in the root of the project, and not in the Images folder as I expected.  I tried to drop and drag inside the Project Manager, but the files won't budge.Next, I moved the file in File Explorer (outside RH) and then manually updated the link.  That works, but it is time intensive.  Is there an easier way?Shannon

I was notified today that our online help had the text highlighted in yellow. I opened RH11, checked multiple topics, and every one of them had all the text highlighted in yellow. Do any of you know how I may have accidentally done this and how set it back to normal (non highlighted text)?Thank you,Eric

Hello.I have been instructed to begin using Responsive HTML5 output for my user guides in RoboHelp 11.The only themes I have are:     Theme 1: Standard     Theme 2: Government     Theme 3: BlackWithin the Gallery I select 'Check for new screen layouts" and I am taken to this site: Learn how to download and use new screen profiles and layouts in RoboHelp I am not a programmer and I do not understand how to download the other themes.Can someone give me dumb user instructions?Thank you,Michele

After a system recovery I re-installed Robohelp 11 on my Desktop.I have a problem with opening old projects. When opening from the normal folder on my D:\Aart Korstjens\Mijn Documenten\My RoboHelp Projects\Adobe RoboHelp 2015 I see this message. . When I copy this folder to my desktop and I try to open the same project from there is no problem!Also a problem with new projest. We upgraded to RH2015 this year and one of our goals was to implement a global way of accessing the Spell Check text file so all the writers are working from the same spell check list.So, in one topic there may be a reference that is currently not in the spell check file:When you rt-click and select Spelling | Add to Dictionary it gets added into an obscure .txt file located in the C:\Users\<username> folder:The text file is an alphabetized non-delimited file containing all the words that have been added. Based on the other language files it appears the file is empty when RH is first installed so I don't think there's a default list for the spell check functionality. Also, all words added from all projects are in this same file - not sure what Adobe was thinking but I digress.With multiple writers, I was hoping we could share the same list but I don't see how since this is tied to the specific user account.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

When I select baggage file and browse to my network folder robohelp stops responding.

I want to generate a printed documentation in a .docx format, the docx file is empty after the generation, the creation seems to run correctly (if i choose a .doc format it is quite generated correctly ) . I'm using  Robohelp 2015 and Word 2013. I also set the Macro settings to Enable all macros in the "Trust Center" option of Word 2013 and it is the same . Are there some more configuration to do ? thanks a lot for an answer.

All of a sudden, we seem to have a problem when a context sensitive topic is being opened, but only, when this topic contains an embedded video (iFrame), which is linked to our channel on YouTube (when I delete the embedded video, the error does not pop up anymore, so the reason for this problem has to be the video). I'm getting a script error regarding the file whtopic.js, but this script error is not really helpful, because it only shows 0 for line, character and code (see Image below):When I click Yes in this error message, the topic is shown correctly and I can play the

Hi again,I have created several user centre pages that all include a banner at the top of the page with several buttons designed into the banner (so the banners are all one graphic created in Photoshop). For each banner image I have incorporated 5 image maps. I am wondering if there is a limit to the number of image maps I can put on one image?The issue is that I have to keep re-applying the link for the image maps because they stop working (when I Preview and when I generate).Also, on some of my pages I have a list of text hyperlinks - and some of these links just keep dropping out and I have to keep re-applying.Can someone please tell me how to rectify this issue? Did I miss another bug fix release from Adobe perhaps?Thanks,Pam
