Hi all,Right now I'm using a trial version of Robohelp 11, because we want to redo our programs offline help. I'm a developer and trying to launch the Robohelp with the API from our C++ MFC application.Steps I've taken:Add the RoboHelp_CSH.cpp to the projectAdd the RoboHelp_CSH.h to the projectDisabled the precompiled headers for the RoboHelp_CSH.cppAdded the Psapi.lib, wininet.lib and Htmlhelp.lib to the Linker InputAdded the #include "RoboHelp_CSH.h" to my projectGenerated a webhelp project using the Robohelp 11 trial programMy OS is Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, done all updates. My default browser is Google Chrome, latest version.The thing is, my program compiles, but never launches a page. I have tried all kinds of things in my program, listing a few below. RH 2015 | WebHelpI'm using the following @1552174 in my CSS to render my topic text in Open Sans. Does anyone know if it's possible to apply a Google font to the left-hand navigation pane? Using RH2015  and MS Word 2010.[Version of RoboHelp edited by Moderator. Please always use the correct version name as it helps people with the same problem down the line find a post that may help them. In this case it was referred to as RH15 so a search on RH15 would fail.]Using Master pages, more or less from the RH15 EmployeeCare3 sample project.I created a new project, imported about 15 pages from that project and modified them to be specific to my project (shared with a half dozen other writers who lack RH experience).I noted that the header.footer had additional paragraph marks, which took up additional space in the printed document..I saw that the paragraph styles for the header were undefined, so I changed the paragraph style to "header" and set the above/below space to 0.This made the topic body content disappear completely -- and then I recived the title as an error:Unhandled win32 exception occurred in RoboHTML.exe [3632]Any ideas?

I've compared the two write-ups in the RH 2015 User Manual pdf, beginning on p. 433 -- Responsiveandp. 436 -- Multiscreenand they are word-for-word the same. I've tested Multiscreen and see that it lets you choose layouts for desktop, tablet, and phone, but doesn't Responsive HTML5 do that as well?Why would you choose one over the other?Thanks very much.

I am using RoboHelp 2015. I want to create a PDF copy of my Help topics to send out for review. Using the Create PDF button on the Review tab looked promising but the resulting PDF is less than desirable. It appears that the PDF generator is inserting extra spacing is being between words and is ignoring some character styles. For example, I am using Segoe UI for my body text. Instead of just bolding key words in procedures I change the font to Segoe Semibold and darken the font color so the bold words are not so glaring. It looks like the PDF generator is applying the bold type face and ignoring the font change.Any suggestions?Greg

I'm considering moving my project folder to another folder -- i.e., project folder COG Help is in My Robohelp Projects folder, but I'd like to move COG Help to a folder called COG Member Web Site. Will this cause any problems?Thanx!Lon

People,I have just installed Robohelp 2015 (version 12.0.0.306).When I try to import a Word file to create a new project, it fails and I see the message:"The Import Word Document Wizard cannot locate a supported version of Microsoft Word. Please install Microsoft Word 2000 or newer."But I am using Word 2016.Is this a known compatibility issue?Thanks in advance,MAM

I've created the Responsive HTML5 layout using the provided Azure Screen Layout. When displayed on my monitor, I am not seeing Search or any of the function icons such as print, etc. When I look in the Azure Screen Layout, the functionality is displayed there in the Header.I've searched on the Forum, but have not been able to find what I need. Is there an answer that does not require HTML editing?Also, will the Print function let the user print just the displayed page from the help?Thanks,MDawn

Hi,we're using RoboHelp 10 and my co-worker has a problem with checking in images.When she has edited a topic and clicks the check-in button, the html-file gets checked-in properly, but the new/changed images don't. She can only check in the images, when she shuts down RH and restarts it.I do not have this problem.Ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.

I'm using RH 11 HTML and primary layout is WebHelp.If I have Enable Substring Search turned on, search caches the prior search term. For example, I search for: prepay. Topics containg the word prepay are listed, and when I click a topic, it jumps to the first instance of prepay in the topic text and all instances of prepay are highlighted. Great. Now I search for: unbalanced. The topic list is correct, but when I click on the topic, it jumps to the first instance of prepay (many topics contain the word prepay; only one topic contains the word unbalanced). All instances of prepay in the topic text are still highlighted, and so is the one instance of unbalanced (althought the topic did not open at that word, I have to scroll way down to see it).When I turn Enable Substring Search off and regen, search works like it should. There is no memory or caching of prior search terms so they are not highlighted for the next search and the topic opens at the term I actually searched for.How can I h

Hello, I have a french version of a large project that works perfectly in English. The french version, linked in from FrameMaker, also works on my machine, but when delivered to the developers the file names in the URL, with accents and other special characters, creates many problems. I therefore need to generate a version that generates HTM files that override the special characters in French. The default project is in French, in Tools > Options I have checked User underscores in File Names, to no avail. As a workaround I have set the field Topic Name Pattern to file names only, followed by <n>, which partially solves the problem in that the file names are in English. However, the search function now poses a problem: the links from a search are on the file names, which are in English, which is not acceptable.Surely there is a way to automatically override the french file names and produce URLs that work once the output is integrated into the product, while retaining a search

Hi,I need to have numbered headings, for example:1.0 Heading 1   1.1 Heading 2          1.1.1 Heading 32.0 Heading 1    2.1 Heading 2           2.1.1 Heading 3I need to apply this new style to all the headings currently in use.  I edited an existing heading style by selecting the autonumber button on the styles box.  I created the number to be:  <x> (for heading 1) and <x>.<x> (for heading 2) and so on.  I also selected Decimal numbering.I applied the updated styles and everything looks perfect except I can't figure out how to get subsequent files to continue numbering.  The first heading in a new file always begins with 1, regardless of its heading level. I'm familiar with numbered lists and regularly use the "restart numbering" feature. I was looking for some option like that but I must be missing something because I'm tryi

  Hi, I am using TCS 5 with unstructured FM  and RH in a Win7  64-bit environment and recently upgraded to TSC5 2015; currently using FM 13.02.433 and RH 12.02.284. I have source FM books linked to RH and generating MS HTML hlp, Webhelp and pdf.   I upgraded a chm project and source files from FM 12 and RH 11  to 2015 version.Every time I open the project file, and the FM files have changed in the meantime, I try to update the book in RH, and all chapters with related topics get deleted. I have to relink the book each time I open the project file and try to update the source files in RH. Plus, when I try to generate the chm, I have to adjust the properties ( specify the First topic)If I edit the FrameMaker files while the RH project is open, I can update the book in RH no problem. But once I save and close the project. Then reopen and try to synchronize (i.e. right-click the book in Project pod and click Update all or Force Update all, all topics get deleted a

In the Help for Robohlep 2015 under "Removing Bookmarks" it says the following;Remove bookmarks1)Remove all links to the bookmark.2)Select the bookmark icon in the topic. In the toolbar, click the Delete button.But nowhere in the Help or anywhere else does it tell you how to remove the links to a bookmark.In my project I had a bookmark that I removed and it left me with a broken link. When I restored the bookmark and right click on the little flag and click "Show All References" there are no references to that bookmark. If there are no references to that bookmark, why can't I delete it without getting a broken link?

Hello,I'm documenting a very large, complex software application. I'm considering creating a master project and child projects for a number of reasons, including size of the projects individually and as a complete project.The help file will be stored on a central server which all  users access from their locations. It was decided that putting the help file on each client's site was not a good idea. Should I create HTML5 or WebHelp? Is there a benefit one over the other?The software is set up to assign a URL to each screen in the system and then the system calls that help file. Will master/child projects support this?Will cross-project links continue to work? Again, is there a benefit one over the other of format?I have the read the RoboHelp2015 help, reviewed the Forum and read some helpful articles on Peter Grainge's web site, but want assurance (I guess) before I make many huge, time-consuming changes.Thanks,MDawn

I used PushOK plug in and was able to successfully do version controlling with local file system. But when I try to connect to a network server which has "http" in the URL, it is throwing an error "Unrecognized URL Scheme". What should I do?
