We are storing our master project on a shared drive so we can all update our pieces until we get our SharePoint upgraded. Is there a better way of collaborating until then?
When some users are importing large amounts of content, it causes folders to disappear. The content is still in the project but the folders have to be recreated. Is there a way to prevent this problem?? Smaller content imports??
Hello,Despite all my searching (here and elsewhere online), I've been unable to figure out the why (and therefore the way to fix it) of my problem, so I turn to you hoping someone will be able to help...We've been using RH9 Classic to create our help files in the WinHelp 4 format. We are now moving to the HtlmHelp format. To do that we've created a new project importing all the .BMP images and .RTF files (and .HH file for the IDs map) and then generated the help file.At first glance everything seems to work perfectly even the contextual help from the app displays the right topic, but there's something strange when you try to search for a word (or select a word in the index associated with multiple topics) : the results show the topics' IDs instead of the titles !Here are 3 screen captures demonstrating the access to the same topic, through the TOC, the Index and the Search tabs :Any idea where that could come from ? (Of course, if more information are needed, I'll be more than happy to
I have just upgraded from Acrobat X Pro to Acrobat XI Pro. I had shared reviews that were not over yet. Can I "import" these into RoboHelp XI?
I really want to create modern looking help that doesn't have a clunky TOC from 1998 on it - just a landing page. All the marketing info for 2015 intimates that I can get rid of the TOC all together but the help doesn't tell me how to do it. I have a trial version of 2015 that I am evaluating (my team currently uses RH10) and not sure I want to upgrade if I can't get rid of the TOC. I am used to RH over claiming on functionality, so am skeptical that this can actually be done...but hoping that it can be.
How do you create a font set in Robohelp 2015, as there is no Format menu in this version where the option was located previously? The help still says it's under the Format menu.
How do you disable auto save in RoboHelp 2015? The instructions say to deselect "Save Without Prompt" in the General tab, but that option does not exist. Is it now "Check in all files when closing a project" in the Version Control tab?
Our HTML5 Responsive help documentation that we created and published with RH 11 is showing up in Google searches, and we'd like to exclude it from doing so. Is this an option within RoboHelp that needs to be turned on or off? Or is it something that is outside of RoboHelp's domain?
I would like to know if there is any considerable change regarding CHM files. The only option I use for output is Microsoft HTML Help for generating CHM files. I cannot use others (WebHelp and etc).Well, I am using the trial version of RH 2015 but I didn't notice any significant change related to the CHM files. The dynamic filter is not applied to it. I am currently using RoboHelp 9, so I am asking you about those changes because I am considering if it is worth changing to RH 2015, because I don't use HTML outputs, I only generate CHM files.I am trying to compare both versions and I am trying notice their differences, but if you know some it would be helpful to me.Sorry if I commit any mistakes because English is not my mother language. Thanks in advance!
Why is it so difficult to apply styles and get consistent results in any version of RoboHelp. I've been using RH forever and I have yet to get consistent results using styles. I usually waste 40% of my time trying 20 different ways of fix style/formatting problems. The WYSIWYG (lol) viewer is useless when it shows something completely different from the preview. I'm seriously going to recommend dumping all our RH licensing and go with ANYTHING else. Anyone have a new product recommendation? If Microsoft would build something similar to RH, with the functionality of Word, I would pay anything!

Our SharePoint admin recently changed the url of our SP farm and I need to change the version control source in our (multiple) RH projects. Is their a way to repoint our RH project SP connection to all the master content that is simply in a different location?Best I've been able to do is disconnect a copy of the project and recreate the version control link from scratch (thereby removing the last couple months of versioning)Thanks,
I've generate an HTML5 output using RoboHelp 2015. However, all fonts I've used in my master page have changed when viewed in iphone and tablet devices. Why does it happen? Is there any configuration that I could set on RoboHelp 2015 for avoiding it?I have been searching for it, but I didn't find anything. I would be glad if you could help me.Thanks in advance!
Using RoboHelp (2015 release), I am having been creating a mobile app for an Android smart phone. You can specify the mobile app's icon and splash screens in RoboHelp's Mobile App Settings dialog box.Can anyone recommend how big (pixels or points) the icon and splash screen should be? It doesn't specify in RoboHelp's help.
Como faço para converter um projeto do Robohelp versão 8 para release 2015 (versão 11)?
Hello everyone. My company recently upgraded to Technical Communication Suite 2015 and today we're trying to generate online help for the first time with RoboHelp 2015. We've been batch generating (rhcl.exe) for about a year with no issues... and today I'm having big conditional build tag problems. I'll try to be as detailed as I can, in the hope that the community can tell me if I'm doing something wrong.System: RoboHelp 2015 on Windows 7 64-bit. WebHelp layout. Project upgraded from RH 11 a week ago.Project SetupIn most topics we have a "See Also" section at the end, with a couple of links. This section is tagged with the "Online" CBT (so that we can exclude it from the PDF output). There are 4-5 CBT per module. My conditional build expression is: NOT Print AND NOT risque AND NOT WIP. The expression is named Test. This conditional build expression is saved in a WebHelp SSL called VALUE. The "Online" tag is correctly displayed under available tags and it's definitely not excluded. The pro
Does anyone have any experience of publishing to Confluence? Can it be done directly, or would you publish as Web Help, or similar, and then link the pages to the Confluence site? We'd also like to tie our documentation to the relevant software release which is kept in gitHub. What would be the best way to do this?
Hi from Argentina peopleIm using robohelp 10 and receive the followin error when i generateProblem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: RoboHTML.exe Application Version: 10.0.1.292 Application Timestamp: 51493787 Fault Module Name: HtmSingleSource
I'm able to generate top-level topic keywords by selecting a keyword in a topic, then right-click, then Add to > Index Keyword > Topic Index Keyword. But I can't figure out how to make a topic subkeyword. The RoboHelp help doesn't even seem to mention subkeywords at all.
Hi all,I need to get the license for Adobe Robohelp. I have received an email from Adobe: To claim your media using coupon number 4200023, click on this ______https://licensing.adobe.com/sap/bc/bsp/sap/zliclogin/login.htm. You will be prompted to log into the Adobe Licensing Web Site (LWS) if you are not already logged in. However on signing I get the following error: Adobe does not recognize you as an authorized user of this web site. Please contact Adobe for assistance. Not sure how to resolve this issue?Dhwani Vibhakar.
For example, I have two document versions with mostly common text and some conditional text (for example, Europe vs North America). I would like the reader to toggle between both formats, similar to the option presented with the 'glasses view' within Rohohelp. I am generating Responsive_HTML5 and it is stored (and accessed) on SharePoint.
I am using RoboHelp 11.0.0.179. There are two topics in my project that repeatedly disappear from the project. They do appear in the generated help without graphics. I can find them in Windows Explorer in the RoboHelp folder that holds all of the other topics. When I re-import them, they will remain in the project until I close RoboHelp. When I reopen the project, they are missing again. We use Subversion to store our source files. When I look back at the Subversion log, I can see that these files have been re-added to RoboHelp several times by my predecessors.I was able to find several related threads from 2008 and 2010, but following the advice in them led me nowhere. (Please do not tell me to stop using SVN. I don't control how we store our source files.)Has anyone else had this problem, and more importantly, is there a solution?
Can the TOC font size be changed in the Theme 1 Standard responsive layout.? I can change the actual font but can't see an option to change font size which I think is very odd.?Any way to do this?
Hello RHelpers,We're updating our home/default page on our chm, and we'd like to add a nice fat Search box directly onto the htm page. Is it possible to do this somehow? Or is the only way to search in a chm is to use the tri pane tab? We're using RH 9.
I have been trying out different methods but have had no luck so far, thanks for your time.
