In RH, I have defined a table style called top-row-shaded, and have mapped this style for delivery to Word, in word-template.dot file. All RH tables of style top-row-shaded shoud map to my Word template style top-row-shaded, but they don't.Does anyone kmow a fix? If not, does anyone have a word macro that can convert my tables to the top-row-shaded style in the Word file? My RH file has another table style (called no-border) that I don't want to convert, so I can't simply apply the style to all tables in the Word file. Thanks, Joanne
I am trying to implement this layout to my Robohelp Project, but I get the IPad layout instead of the previewed Desktop layout that is in the screenshot. All other Desktop layouts work fine with me this one does not work with me. It is the first one here: http://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/robohelp-screen-profiles-layouts.htmlI can't seem to get the Desktop layout to work, and I need to have the printer button, I keep getting the Ipad layout instead, any thoughts??
In testing the RH HTML output, I've had a review comment that there were issues with viewing the online help with IE 11 and also Google Chrome. In searching for possible fixes, I came across a fix for both. IE11 issue -- http://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/kb/robohelp-output-issues-ie-11.htmlGoogle Chrome issue -- http://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/kb/webhelp-issues-robohelp-versions-10.htmlThe IE11 fix has two files in the fix -- whutils.js and whver.jsThe Google Chrome fix has four files, two of which are the same as in the IE11 fix. With issues on both of these platforms, does anyone know if those files will work for both issues? If I update whutils.js and whver.js for the IE11 fix, and then update those same files for the Chrome fix, will I still have the IE11 fix??
Hi all:I've gotten links to PDFs in my RoboHelp project to work, but have one problem that I cannot seem to solve. This issue happens with IE and Chrome (have not tried Safari) but not with FireFox. The first time I click a PDF link from my WebHelp project (yes, it's posted on a server), the help link works fine. The PDF opens to the named destination. Subsequent links to different destinations in the same PDF, however, update the browser with the proper URL but the PDF does not change to the new location. eg: Link1:http://10.20.160.7:8080/help/test/cdm_agent_guide.pdf#cdmasiDisplays the PDF opened to the page tagged with cdmasi then click this:http://10.20.160.7:8080/help/test/cdm_agent_guide.pdf#cdmacdmPage seems to be loading but...URL status bar shows the above URL, but the PDF has remained on the ASI topic (Chrome) or a blank page displays. Click the URL bar and refresh to load the linkThe PDF moves to the correct topic.Note:This behavior is the same whethe
I just got a slightly rude awakening today. I had to give up my license for TechComm suite and just have RoboHelp 10. Now I can't pin the RH icon to the taskbar, nor do I have the usual options when right-clicking the window indicator that does appear on the taskbar when a project is open. All I can do is close the window:Is there a way to get the taskbar functionalities back for the standalone RH 10?
Hi,I'm using RoboHelp 7, but I need to give a "Windows 8" look and feel to a WebHelp project I'm working on. Are the RoboHelp 11 skins available for download? (The RoboHelp 11 product preview looks like it provides one by default). Many thanks.
Hello,I'm creating Responsive HTML5 output in RH11. I've done considerable editing of the default theme, changing colors and removing the index page and the links to it (we don't include an index). At some point, the phone layout stopped displaying the "magnifying glass" icon next to the TOC/Glossary icons. If you hover over the spot, the hovering icon does appear. I have tried everything I can think about to fix this problem, but can't figure it out. The regular icon is definitely present in the folder, along with the hover version. The css correctly names the icon. I have looked at the MasterThemeSchema.xml and when I fooled around with that, I got two magnifying glass icons to appear, but not one. I have created another Theme1 layout, where the search icon displays correctly, and compared the main.css and MasterThemeSchema.xml line by line. I've compared the language for the TOC and Glossary icons, which appear correctly, to the search icon, and everything looks fine. I've even star
Does anyone know whether it's possible to reuse a glossary set up in a project across multiple projects? I'm using RH 10.Thanks!
Hello,I'm using Robohelp HTML 9. We have just decided that all our hyperlinks to pdfs need to open in a new window. However, previously this was not a standard, so not all of our hyperlinks open in a new window. Is there a way to change the default settings for display options of all hyperlinks within a project to "New Window."?I know the slow method is to go through each topic, and change hyperlink properties for each and every external link. Thanks in advance for your help.Tas
I'm using RoboHelp 9.0.2.271 on a Windows 7 64-bit machine to generate a WebHelp project. Everything appears to be fine in the source files and in the output files when I test locally and/or in a build.I received a message from development that they used something called dynaTrace to test for errors in the build. They sent a list of seven 404 errors logged by the application. The list looks similar the attached screenshot of two (fake) examples. When I look at the folder where I deliver the output files to development, I see all of the files that are listed under the URI column and the Referrer column, with only a few exceptions for two of the entries. I'm not familiar with troubleshooting the help in this manner and was hoping someone else can shed some light. There are no apparent broken links in the project. In case these details are helpful, I work exclusively on my hard drive when using RoboHelp. I store the source files through Tortoise SVN. I deliver the output (WebHelp) files to
Overview:I've been importing some old html files that have a massive number of bookmarks/anchors in them (few hundred html 'pages' some of them mini help document libraries) in an effort to move the manuals into RH format. Using RH11Problem:when I import them all the bookmarks are showing up under each topic page. Second, when I add a folder into the TOC or auto generate a TOC it pulls each bookmark as a page (see screen shot). Any way I can get around this issue? I can manually add (drag/drop) the 'updates' page here into the TOC and it doesn't pull the bookmarks as pages. However i'm interested in knowing if I can simply not import the bookmarks or exclude them from populating as pages in the TOC. This seems to be new to RH11 (i've used RH9 without this issue in the past, on a similar project).System;RH11Office 2013SharePoint 2010Thanks
We recently upgraded to Robohelp 10 and are noticing that any index keywords & TOC entries that link to external content (i.e. another website, or another webhelp project) display a blank page...however, if you right-click on the entry from the index or TOC, it displays properly. The issue appears to be affecting IE users only, Chrome users do not experience the same issue. Has anyone else come across anything similar, and come up with a fix for IE?
Help! I cannot seem to find the solution for the error message I get when trying to generate a layout in Microsoft HTMl Help (Primary Layout). I am using the trial version, but it didn't seem to be an issue for anyone else in my class that was also using the trial version. The error message states, "Cannot find the HTML help browser installed on your system."Thank you!
I am working in RoboHelp 11. I generated a Responsive HTML5 output and put it on a network folder. It looked great for everyone. Then, another user of RoboHelp 11 opened, updated and generated the output, and now when I open the output, the graphics are missing (red X problem) and most of the formatting is gone. If I reopen and regenerate the project, the output looks fine on my computer again but the other user gets the problems! We both have read/write access to the folder where both the project and the outputs are stored. Help!
After generating iPad and iPhone output using Multiscreen_HTML5, I noticed that my bulletted lists were converted to numbered lists in the output. If I right-click my topics, they have another .css file associated with them instead of the mobile.css file that I see under iPad_Layout in the Project Set-up pod.I used the CSS editor to add a new bulletted list style to mobile.css. Then I applied mobil.css to a topic. However, I don't see the new bulletted list style if I click the Apply Style drop-down list (in the upper left corner near the Change Font drop-down.) As I workaround, I can manually apply bullets to my lists by selecting Format > List > Bullets and Numbering, but I know this is not idea. When I have applied mobile.css to a topic and am viewing that topic, why can't I see all the correct styles in the Apply Style drop-down list? Thanks.
I run the Printed Documentation by generating a Word docx for a hand full of topics, I select Microsoft Word Template and for the template I select Style Mapping.dot and for Map Non-heading Styles I use Projects CSS Styles (used only) and I select the normal style below that section and then I generate. It goes thru the motions and just before it is completed I get an error message and it closes RoboHelp completely. Is there a limit to the number of topics I can generate to a Word doc?I want to understand why this is happening.Thank you!Joanna
Hi all,Is it possible to merge several separately created Webhelp projects so that when you launch one project, you can see the TOCs of the other projects as well? (ie, they would all appear to be part of the same help but were actually created separately). I am using RH10.Thanks.
Hi,I've got a quite urgent problem, so I really hope somebody can tell me what's wrong.....I've got an old RH file that needed revision. in the old file, it's no problem to make a printed documentation. After revisioning it, the printed docomentation turns out to be empty 😞RH is makeing it ok, but the files is empty - I've got 5 pages with nothing on it.This is how things looks:Hope these screen dumps is enough, otherwise please ask for more 🙂 Really hope somebody can help me, need this work done by Wednesday... 🙂Best regards,Helene WaldhornSKAKO, Denmark
I have just upgraded from TCS1.3 (FM8/RH7) to TCS5 (FM12/RH11).I have a legacy WebHelp project which I created in TCS1.3 some years ago. The source content is currently authored in an FM book and the RH project is linked to that book . The original assumption behind that workflow was that much of the future content would need to be single-sourced from material shared between various existing FM books which already served our PDF output. However, this turned out not to be the case.I now need to include a lot of new material into the help and would prefer to move forward in just RH11 alone. So far I have used RH only as the rendering engine for the WebHelp output, but from now on will be adding new topics (and updating existing topics) directly in RH with no further FM involvement. I've successfully opened the project in RH11. Next, ideally I’d like to remove any reference to the original FM files from the RH project files but retain the topics, TOC and index generated from them (t
Using RoboHelp 11. Publishing in WebHelp. Server Clinet OS Windows 8.I'm facing a problem with the way my WebHelp is publishing. A couple weeks ago our company switched to a case-sensitive sever which will only detect uppercase file extensions. They switched over due to security reasons. I save all my images in Photoshop, which saves file extensions like .jpg in lowercase by default. Since our Help file has been around for quite a while it's built up a stable of images with both uppercase file extensions (.JPG) and lowercase file extensions (.jpg). Since the switch to a case-sensitive server environment, any lowercase .jpg images now appear as missing or broken links. We've tried just about every fix we can think of to get these images to show back up.We went through and changed the file extensions to uppercase and then updated the .htm file that is linked to them. After doing this the preview looked good so we compiled. No good. The compiled version actually switches the files back. W
Which internet browsers and which versions of those browsers support (can properly display) WebHelp created in RoboHelp HTML 10?
I'm using RoboHelp 11 and want to remove the theme. Basically, I do not want that header or search or any of that on the output. Is this possible? Also, how do I add my own header and footer? Any help is greatly appreciated.
My project has an empty file which cannot be deleted but was ignored by RH9. In converting to RH11 I get the following message: "Error - node */Views/<folder name>/<folder name>/SBLCRVAL.htm already exists." However, there is no other file by that name in the project. There is a similar one which I renamed and everything works fine in RH9, but I cannot convert to RH11.
How do you (or can you) configure PDF for Review to use a specific variable set? I'm using RoboHelp HTML 10.
