HiHuge is very relative, but in this case, the scripts folder is 75% of the document's size. Any ideas on what I need to do to bring its size down?  Many thanks in advance!

I updated RH 2020, trial version. I selected the Microsoft HTML Help preset, which I finally find due to someone named Peter. I configured the preset: I selected the TOC file. I specified the output folder, which is on a different drive than the project folder. (I knew that it could not be in the location whose parent folder was the project folder.) Then I clicked the command button to generate the CHM. The progress display continuously indicated the various task that were being performed during the generation process. Ultimately, I clicked the View Output button. The program displayed an error message indicating that the CHM filed could not be opened. I checked the output designation folder; and, the file existed. However, it was only 1 KB. I double-clicked the CHM file; but, the same error message appeared as when I attempted to open the file from within RoboHelp. As an aside, I tried he same process  (i.e., MS HTML Help creation) with RoboHelp’s sample

Hi all,I have a dilemma regarding the way my WebHelp looks now as opposed to in the old version. This isn't a major issue, I just wanted to check that I'm not doing anything wrong.Here is what my WebHelp looked like when I generated it from RH 2017:I open the Welcome page in htm format, click Show, and then a new page opens with the TOC on the side.   A similar thing happens in RH 2020 but the skin is a lot different, and it doesn't say Show anymore, but rather the title of the guide:So I open the Welcome page in htm format like before, click the title at the top, and then a new page opens with the TOC on the side. I just wanted to check if the previous look is no longer available or if I'm doing something wrong when setting up the Output options.Thanks in advance!  

Hi,We have a table that overflows to multiple pages when we generate a printed documentation (Doc/PDF). The customer wants the table header to be repeated at the top, similar to the setting that we have in MS Word.Right now the header does not repeat.The workaround is to generate a doc output and then manually apply the repeat table header setting in MS word and then save it as a PDF.Is it possible to handle it in RH 2017?

In RH 2020, how do you add expanding text to a variable and then make the expanding text a link?

Hello, I would like to add non-breaking spaces in the text. In RH 2019 I was using CTRL+SPACE, however this key combination does not work with RH2020. Is there any other way?

After upgrading to a newer laptop, I need to install AdobeRobohelp 2019 on it again. I downloaded the installer and ran the setup with Admin access. However, the moment I run the setup, I get a message stating that your browser or OS is  no longer supported and that I need to install the latest updates.I have a 64-bit Windows 10 machine laptop with the Operating System  and apps regularly updated as manadated for the company I work for.  I can't understand why I keep getting this error. I even downloaded and merged the registry settings "Fix-UpdateRequiredError.reg" as recommended by the Adobe Help center. Still, the updated registry settings didn't help. I also installed Internet Explorer 11 to ensure thatI have the latest browser as recommended by Adobe. Can someone please help me out on how to get Adobe RoboHelp installed on my machine? I have attached screenshot of the error message. Thanks in advance.    

Hi,I created a stylesheet and specified the style for both numbered and non-numbered lists. The list works fine when applied to the body. 1. xyz2.abcIf I click Backspace when the cursor is at the position 'a' in the 'abc', the 'abc' gets appended to number 1. Whereas actually, shouldn't it remove the numbering and retain the text in the same position itself?Can anyone please help me with this? 

What's the silent install command to install Adobe RoboHelp 2020? Or are we still using Creative Cloud Packager to create the MSI to do a silent install?

I compiled the Printed Documentation in my RH project this morning, but the font in the Table of Contents came up as a Times Roman-type of font, rather than Arial, which is specified in the .css file. I am using RH 2017.I tried re-starting my computer, but that accomplished nothing. Any ideas? I have to load this to Production tomorrow.Thank you! 

Hi All, Very new to the community, so forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere or if I'm doing something silly that should be obvious. I have an old project I've returned to with several hundred short topics. I am publishing to a Frameless Output. Any new topics that aren't present in the TOC do not publish. This includes topics that are little islands (they don't link to anything and aren't linked to) AND topics that are referenced but don't appear in the TOC. It only appears to be a problem with new topics. My project doesn't include any Dynamic Content Filters, Condition Expressions, Variable Sets or Map Files. Is there any common knowledge I'm missing on this? I've returned to Robo after a lengthy hiatus (a decade or so) and so far this is the only bump I can't iron out. We are now using RoboHelp 2020 (after converting a .chm from RH9 to RH2019 Classic and RH2019). We have 4 RH projects (will be deliverable help with our software). There are crosslinks to the generated help in other projects. We're having trouble with the TOC showing the correct selected topic from generated or published Responsive (we still call it WebHelp) .htm files. I tried it in Chrome and Edge browsers. We use Windows 10 OS. I can open the intranet/published help, go to a topic, select another topic in the TOC and TOC highlights another topic not the one I choose and that's displayed in the main page. We've also tried tests with the generated/published index.htm files as a starting source. Also, if I 'Copy link address' from the TOC, then open a new browser window and paste the URL, it may show the wrong TOC entry or none at all. We have many software windows/forms that have ? buttons and we want to be able to open the specific topic (no problems with old .chm file). This is very

RoboHelp 2020.8.43I have separate master pages for Chapters, Even, and Odd pages for my PDFs.After generating a PDF, during the review it was discovered that partway through the document, after a Chapter/First Page, the Even/Odd pages were reversed. The wrong master pages were applied for the rest of the chapter. Further along the Even/Odd pages seem to reverse after each Chapter/First page.In my testing document (attached) the Even and Odd master pages don't even start out on the correct pages. I entered a support ticket, hopefully it gets looked at and fixed.  Bug Ticket 

Does anyone know how to assign a Page ID (used in Page Level Help) to a topic. In a past project, it would be a 5 letter designation followed by .htm (ABBCD.htm). I know how to do it using RoboHelp Classic, but don't see where I would do it in RoboHelp 2020. Thanks! -Matt

HiWe are using RH 2020, Version 2020.8.34.We have several existing topics that contain the term "AP"; (we can't change AP in the topics).We also have many new topics that contain "APE”; (we can't change APE in these topics either).When we search for APE, the first 10 results are all topics named/containing AP, after those 10, the APE topics begin.I found that the AP topics did not previously have searches defined, so I added search words.I have tried both the "Text around the search term" and the "Topic description" output search context options, and cleared cache, then tested again. Neither changes the results.Are there any Boolean operators that can be added such as -AP, or not AP, or any way to filter out the two letter AP results in favor of the 3 letter APE results?Thanks in advance.

I upgraded a previous 2019 project to the most recent version of 2020.  In 2019 I was able to generate a PDF. In 2020 it will only generate a single page, blank PDF file.  I am able to successfully generate a PDF using the Compass Travel sample project.  Something has to be wrong in my project to generate a blank PDF, I just can't figure out what is wrong. Any ideas? I read through Peter Grainge's post about PDF output and the TOC. I don't see what could be causing the problem.

Hi Team, I have a query on Robohelp Review. If the reviewer added a comment on a topic and the writer had resolved the comment. After the writer incorporates all the comments, how will the writer send the topic for review with the existing comments? Ex: I received comments from my reviewers through Robohelp Review feature.I have incorporated all the comments. How should I send the topic for review with the reviewer's comments as well as the updated doc?Can I use the existing review link for the reviewing process? I want the reviewer's comments as well as the newly updated document to appear.  Pretty confused with the review feature.  Thanks,Avinash S

I am using HTML5 Help for output. We are finding that a lot of our users zoom their browsers above 100% which can cause the Table of Contents panel/sidebar panel to get collapsed. Is there a way that I can force that panel to keep its size and shrink the topic panel instead when a user zooms or resizes the browser window?
