Anyone have any idea what's going on here? Whenever I import a document into my RoboHelp project, the tables look fine while I am editing them. However, when I generate my project (Responsive HTML5), the table-border weights are inconsistent. Sometimes they're heavier, and sometimes they're the right weight (0.5 pt). I've been playing around with my CSS for a long time in an attempt to figure out what's going on. My best guess is that something's happening when I import the document—maybe there's an underlying style hidden in Word that I can't find. One last note of interest—the tables look okay in Internet Explorer. The weight changes appear in Chrome and Edge.
Hello,I've been working on a project (a copy from another one) and when generating the output in Responsive HTML, I get the character below. This appears in the middle of my text, or when I have <p>... I frankly don't know why this is happening. I looked at my CSS, my HTML, and it's all clean. Thanks in advance for your support.
I'm converting a Robohelp Classic project to modern Robohelp, and most every time I try to search (the generated WebHelp output), it crashes. Also, when the search does work, it's very slow. the project has about 930 topics, but the Classic version is very fast. Thanks!
I am using RH 2020.6.76. Skin = Frameless Oceanic.Whenever I click on an index item, the index collapses each time. For example,INDEX V Keyword1 TopicA TopicB TopicCKeyword 2Keyword 3If I click on TopicA (or B or C), I get INDEX > Keyword1Keyword 2Keyword 3Is there a way to keep Keyword1 expanded? This seems to be the most reasonable thing to do because a user would want to click through TopicA, TopicB, then TopicC.I even see this issue with the old Compas Travel project (Contact New > General > New Contact - General Screen)
Conditional contentI've been using Zendesk Help Center for a couple of years. Before that it was Gitbook. I'm at the point where I need to have a feature like conditional formatting because there are too many options in our product and having the user continually try to sort out or locate the relevant material is a real challenge. So, I see examples where there is a list of "filter" checkboxes that the user can tick off to narrow down the content. In my main case, I want to force the user to answer 3 questions, each one of which is answered by a single choice of however many. So I don't want multi select in a filter group, I just want one, like a radio button. Is it possible? I also wonder about a "workflow wizard", where the questions and answers are handled in an interactive manner, e.g. Which device are you connecting to?- Windows PC- Mac- Embedded device etc, then the choice is entered and the next (or subsequent) sections hav
Hi, I'm a fairly new user of Robohelp 2019 and have recently been working with 2019 Classic. My company want to move to Reimagined but I can't generate the project following migration. During the generation process it gets stuck on patching topic without any further information. All pages are generated in the output location but the assets folder, with images and CSS are not present. I've tried leaving it for a couple of hours but no change. I'm using the Responsive HTML output and saving in a local folder for testing. I'm running RH 2019 with Update 11. Has anyone seen this before? If you require any further information, please let me know. KR
I'm attempting to import a PDF file (I've tested with several different files and none of them are protected); however, when I select "Create new topic(s) based on style(s)", I receive the error message, "Due to the complex formatting of the selected PDF file, you must choose the option to "Convert as absolutely positioned HTML." I then attempted to import it with the option "Create new topic for each PDF page" - "Convert as absolutely positioned HTML" and I receive a "Failed to Convert" error message. I've attempted all of the conversion options, but continue to receive error messages. Guidance on how to successfully import a PDF file into my RoboHelp project would be greatly appreciated!Thank you,Nikki
It says this was fixed, but it was not.
I have set up a Publish Profile to connect to Zendesk. The Zendesk API Password access is set to Enabled. When I look at the Output Preset Zendesk tab in RoboHelp, the Visible to and Managed by fields remain empty. If I click the Refresh button next to the Visible to field, I DO NOT get any Zendesk Connection Failure error message. Is there something else I must do in Zendesk besides just setting the "Enabled" toggle? Does two-factor authentication for logging into Zendesk make any difference? I am really stuck in trying to track down what I am missing. One thing to mention is in my Publish Profile, I had to set the Site URL to be https://yoursite.zendesk.com/knowledge (which is where you manage articles). I get a Zendesk Connection Failure error if I do not add "/knowledge" to the end of the URL. I am new to both RoboHelp and Zendesk and this integration process seems much less intuitive than it should be. Thanks for any suggestions.
We have an e-learning project that we want to update from RH classic to RH 2020.There are MP4 hotspots in the project. The projects are linked to Framemaker files. When updating the projects from RH Classic to RH2020, everything is error free for now. But as soon as the linked FM file changes and is updated in RH 2020, the hotspot is lost.I have a similar problem when I insert the same FM file linked in RH 2020 in a new project. The hotspot does not work from the beginning.I hope the post goes in the right forum, I got a little lost in the communities 😮 Sorry! If sample data is desired, I can send some.

I want to convert the content in rh classic 2019 to .dita file. What should I do or what software should I use? If .dita is not possible, .xml is also OK for me. Your help will be appreciated.
We are new to using RH2020. I have successfully published a Word document that is linked from a SharePoint source library. I recently updated the source file, I synced it to our cloud storage. I synced within RH (green arrow next to it now), but the content did not update. Can't find anything on the boards or in the user guide. Any clues as to what I did wrong?
I have been using earlier versions of RoboHelp for many years and I am just trialing RoboHelp Classic 2019 Version 14.0.11.0. I have upgraded all my old projects, and when compiled , they view satisfactorily using any browser I try. I have uploaded one project using a file transfer tool (WinSCP) to a hosting site. When I log in to view the upload online, using edge Version 95.0.1020.40, it does not display at all. I get a near-blank screen. It will, however, display in IE and Google Chrome 95.0.4638.69.I thought, after having read FAQs, that Edge was supported.
I am using RH 2020.6.76 and am customizing the Orange skin with a specific logo and background image for the Home Page and the Topic page. Even though the correct images appear in the preview and on my working screen, once I generate the output, the original skin default images appear. I have deleted the skin and respecified all the options, but it still occurs. I have created a new project and tried to specify but the same thing happens...the default images stay. Does anyone have an answer for this? Thank you in advance!Tonya
Hi, I'm using a customised version of the studio frameless skin and the logo image ratio/menu bar appears correctly when viewing the output in a maximised window (I've tried both Edge & Chrome), but when reducing the window even just to half my display, the logo is stretched vertically & the old studio colour scheme sneaks back into the left hand toolbar as per the examples attached. I'm pretty sure that yellow stems from the original Studio formatting, since it should apprear dark blue & I've never used yellow in my colour scheme. Is there anything I can do to resolve either issue? Thanks.
Is this a bug?I am taking a word output of my frameless help. When I add the front matter for the toc, the toc shows up fine. When I add a cover page in the front matter just above the toc, the cover page shows up twice. once at the very start as the cover page, which is correct and also as part of the toc as page 1, which is incorrect.if i move the cover page outside the front matter and place it above it, the toc gets hidden and the topics follow the cover page. Also, the cover page always takes heading 1 by default.Any idea how to handle this?
I'm anticipating this is a bug, but just want to see if anyone else is experiencing this and/or has a better way of formatting the Related Topics lists.Using WebHelp generated with RH 2019 Classic, our Related Topics were accessible via a button, and the list looked liked this: I am now using RH 2020.6.76 and generating frameless help. By default, the system now displays the Related Topics like this:After a while, some of the Related Topics lists started appearing like this:For the lists where the Related Topics were being right-aligned, I noticed the code view contained this formatting to apply the "text-align: right" style to the list of topics:Note that the closing h1 tag appears at the end of the list (as expected). In the lists that were not correctly formatted, the closing h1 tag appeared immediately after the opening h1 tag (causing the right-alignment formatting not to be applied to the topics in the list). When I noticed the difference in formatting, I s
I have a frameless output. In the topic page in the right panel at the top there are Expand All, Favorites, Filter, Share, and Dark (moon icon) buttons.I want to disable the Share and the Dark button. I tried deleting the logos under the topic page > buttons section. However they still show up in the output.Any idea where their visibility is controlled?
With FM 2019, I used the Publish feature to publish my Help to a Responsive HTML5 output skin called Indigo. I customized the skin's buttons and set the text colors to my company's brand via the Settings.sts edit function. Output looks great, so far so good. Each TOC item (icon) picked up a heading 1, cool. Now my manager wants me to customize the color of each icon (product line) to coincide with the brand product colors. I dont see a way of doing this with the FM Publish editing tools, which allow you to customize the TOC icon colors as a group, but not individually. Potential solution - RoboHelp 2019. I'm thinking the RoboHelp tools may enable me to go this extra mile in skin customization. Is there a way to import my finished Help into RH and then do this fine tuning edit on the Indigo Responsive HTML5 skin? My goal here is pretty simple, customize the individual TOC icons, as seen in the below example, from image 1 to image 2: Thanx for any advice/help anyone may provide
Just to put this query in context, I work with a software development company, and we use Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 for development and our sources are stored on GitHub. To create context-sensitive help files, I use map files (*.hm) that are generated by Visual Studio. Basically, whenever I need the latest version of the *.hm file for any given module, I have a workspace setup where I just need to do a "Get Latest" and the file gets updated automatically. In RoboHelp version 7, the *.hm file was imported and used "as-is", without any modification. This means that whenever a new control and Map ID was added in the software by the programmers, all I needed to do was to overwrite the old *.hm file with the new one. The new Map ID would show in RH7, and existing associations were preserved. Easy peasy. We had a fully automated workflow for this. Now in RH2020, that functionality is lost. Now, the *.hm file gets imported into a *.ali file. Once imported, RH does not have the ab
I have a frameless output. I have a browse sequence that is set and selected when we take the output. However, in the output the Previous/Next buttons or << / >> arrows are not visible. how do I enable them?
I am using RoboHelp 2020.6.76. I can see how to change the background color of many elements, but I would like to change the background color of the entire topic page, just like the "Dark" skin does. How do I do that?
Hi all!We are using TopNavigation skin and after searching something, the user cannot remove highlight of searched text, because there is no "remove highlight" button in the topic. Also, we can't find it in the skin editor. Putting RH-LAYOUT-TOOLBAR-highlight-remove-button directly in layoutDiff.css didn't work.
I'm using RH 2019 Classic with the Indigo layout. I have a very small project for a mobile app and I've already turned off the Index and Glossary in the output. I would also like to disable the Favorites feature, but I can't figure out how to do it. Is it possible to do this, and if so, how?
