Substance 3D Designer

I am recently learning how atlas work.  I remember that there has a video that Wes has made back in Designer  5.0 that talks about atlas.  Found out that there has this Atlas Maker node back then.  I wonder where is it now or it has been renamed to something else? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xwv4vPvVju4

I'm pretty sure this is a bug, but please correct me if the issue is something on my end: 13.0.2Windows 10 Create Spline (Cubic), connect it to another Spline (Cubic), connect the result to a Spline Merge List. The final result is as expected, albeit with two issues: 1. the tangent handle lines are no longer visible in the 2D preview when one of the spline nodes are selected and 2. The last Spline (Cubic) node gets squashed into 2048x16 C32F, making it uneditable. The effect always happens to the final Spline (Cubic) node in the chain, regardless of how many are connected. 

When I assign materials in Substance Painter and import an object, all materials are listed separately, and I can bake them individually. However, when I tried to do this using sbsbaker through the command line, it didn’t work the same way.The best solution I found was to create a separate JSON file for each mesh part using a Python script and then modify the --input-selection parameter to select each mesh part individually for baking. However, since it reloads the mesh every time, this greatly extends the bake time. Is there a way to solve this issue and speed up the process?

Good morning I have an object with different types of materials. I assigned a different color to each part of this same object - which has UV - so that each of these parts would have a different material. When I 'link' in Substance Designer, how can I make each part of this same object have a different material (or a different tree and still view it as a whole in the 3D viewport)? I would like a tutorial on this, I can't find much on the internet.

Is there a way to export favorites from one instalation to another ?   I have gazzilion of custom nodes  versions having same thumbs  , half of them not working  really and need to transfer it to a new computer.  Is there an easy way ?

When I click on a node red text url to find it and make an editable copy I get this  "could not find explorer.exe "  ion my win10 laptop.     Looks like a bug IMO.

It seems like Python plugins (haven't tried other types) can't be loaded back into Designer in the plugin manager after they have been unloaded. Is this a known bug or issue? Repro steps:Open Designer, open the plugin manager, unload a Python plugin, and try to load it via the checkbox, can't load. The console only reports the plugin being immediately unloaded when the checkbox is clicked. I verified this is only in 14.0. In version 13.1.2 this issue doesn't exist. See the attached GIF for the issue. Thanks all!

Hello.I've had a custom script based on the one from here which I used to add some new menus to Designer. However, since the latest update to v 14.0.0 the same script which worked before, now stopped working and instead throws an error:No module named 'PySide2'There's no need to modify the example script in the docs. It throws an error even with the example code shown in there.

 

Hello,   Our latest bugfix release, version 14.0.1, is available today.   This version fixes the issue of plugins not loading anymore after being unloaded manually. Users of version 14.0.0 should therefore update promptly. Hello. I am 100% new to the Substance collection and the 3D world. The separate apps are clearly that, separate but can work together, that much I understand. But where does one start? I usually have some sort of 3D model (.obj, .igs) that needs texture, lighting, an environment, perhaps another object added, and rendering. So, what's first? Substance Designer? Stager? Painter? Any guidance will be appreciated. A.C.

Hi,Does anybody know how to set up default Display Transform for 3D View? I need it to be ACES sRGB by default, but every time I restart Designer, it reverts back to sRGB. I tried to save State File, but. for some reason. this file does not store Display Transform. I also checked other files with different settings, but had no luck.
