Substance 3D Designer

I'm working on some Substance Designer pipeline tools and saw in the API reference an export function: sd.tools.export.exportSDGraphOutputs(aSDGraph, aOutputDir='', aFileExt='png'). This is exactly what I need but when I tested it out in the Python Editor Substance Designer returned: [ERR][9]module 'sd.tools' has no attribute 'export'  When I ran dir() on the sd.tools it does seem that this export module does not exist: [MSG][3]['__builtins__', '__cached__', '__doc__', '__file__', '__loader__', '__name__', '__package__', '__path__', '__spec__', 'graphlayout']  Was this functionality moved?

How can I edit the exposed parameters in the Substance Archive file in a Unity Script? I can see the parameters in the Editor when I click on the SBSAR file but I have some problems when I edit some of them like a color the object that I applied the material on doesn't change at all and I also can't figure out how to change them through code. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

I have a custom Python function that manipulates images. I want to run this function in a graph, possibly as if a node. How can I achieve this in Substance Designer?Both the input and output of the function is an image. 

Hi, I am using Substance Designer with Polish Keyboard layout and language set to "English" in Substance Designer. The problem is when i press decimal symbol on numeric keyboard I got "," (which is native for polish keyboard layout) insted of ".". However Substance Designer is not accepting "," as decimal symbol and keep ignoring it. Is there an option to change it? All other softwares I use does not have this problem: Blender, Photoshop, even Substance Painter accept "," and automatically change it to ".".

I am having an issue with exposing one of my parameters from S.Designer to Browzwear, Vstitcher. the parameter is Float 02 X,Y.  with ther parameters i dont have this problem.  What should i do to fix it? thank you very much. Mark

Hello:  We are using Designer 13.1.2 build 7745 and when I create a simple material using a perlin noise, the noise is appearing stretched and wrong if I bring it into painter 10.0.1 3757.  Other artists are experiencing similar issues with a few types of noises.  We seem to be experiencing this bug in Rocky Linux 8.10 but the windows version seems ok.  Is there some system requirement that I need to check into or is this a bug/known issue?  Thank you!

So i made a design i love it i want to export the 3d image as png but everytime i try to export i get the 2d flat image not what i want im trying to use that 3d image look for minecraft texture the 2d is not what i want and that keeps saving i want the 3d as png anyway?

Hi guys. I´m trying to find nodes reference, but I had no lucking to find a complete description of the nodes. And several links load a page that doesn´t have the information I need. Sorry for my English! I make the texture of the wallpaper. When I blend my graph with uniform color and levels, pixels appear on the texture. I take a course on procedural textures and completely repeat after the teacher, but he does not have such a problem.

Hey, we are looking to buy a 3D laser machine for making personalised 3D crystals. We will be receiving photos from clients and need them editing into 3D and converting into DXF files ready for loading into our 3D subsurface laser engraving machine, which will then create the 3D crystals.My question is, can Adobe Substance 3D be used to create these files (DXF) and do the editing work we need?Thank you for your help.

I am trying to bake mesh maps with sbsbaker with python. Hello. I have a few questions about size.1. When I read an image with a bitmap, it becomes a square or approximate pixel size, and it is impossible to maintain the size ratio with the original image at all?2. Is it correct to recognize that if I enter the size of the original image in Physical Size, it will look square during substance work, but the size will completely return to its original size after output?3. Enter the physical size and open the exported image in photoshop, and the appearance will be the same as Substance Designer, but the canvas size will be a square according to the long side. Why is this? The Windows Photo Viewer is also rectangular in thumbnails, as is PhysicalSize, but when you actually open it, it is stretched to a square.I want to create a cloth texture from a single cloth photo. I've noticed since forever that SD resource folders get bloated pretty quickly, not wanting to bloat perforce with tons of unused SD resource files I decided to have a deeper dive today.It turns out that when inside Substance Designer I move a baked texture map between folders, or just up & down in the "order" of resources it duplicates that resources adding a "1-" in front of it, and point the moved resource to that file.The old resource is never deleted.This causes tons of duplicated resources, and when we're talking 4k bakes it eats up drive space fast.There also seem to be issues with deleting resources in substance designer, but the actual file not being deleted, again cluttering the resource folder.There's also no function inside SD to remove unused resources, so it ends up being a tedious process figuring out which resources you can manually delete, praying you don't break dependencies while doing so.This is an absolutely terrible bug, and it would great to see it fixed.Payi

In the substance 3d designer manual it says to go to the menu bar, edit, keyboard shortcuts, but for some reason i don't see the "keyboard shortcuts" option. i'm using a mac Ventura. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone, as you can see from the image I am trying to use a bitmap to get a texture in a tile shape.I was able to reach the result, the only thing is the diffuse, with which I am struggling, I really want the diffuse colour to be the same as the bit map but I can't find a way to do it, I would like not to use the gradient map, is there a way to have the diffuse colour to match with the grayscale values of the directional warp? Hi. Sorry if I'm missing something here, but I can "expose as new graph input" most parameters of nodes basically, but I don't seem to have the option to expose as new graph input for the random seed. Is there a way to do this that I am missing? I basically want to be able to change the random seed of multiple nodes at once.  Thanks for any help on this, and sorry if this is obvious.  Brian
