HiI finally got around to taking a deeper dive into Sampler - first impressions were it looked amazing, fairly simple just what I needed for my 3d work. So far it's been pretty dissapointing!A major problem I have is that the texture generators are just so buggy - for example: I create a parquet floor, the default pattern shows up fine but when I select Herringbone I get nothing, the maps are blank. Every time I try to select a generator for either a mask, roughness map, normal map etc. I just get nothing - what gives???!!!I've got the latest Sampler version and I'm using 2 different computers. I decent spec PC and a 2023 Mac Mini M2 Pro. Same problem on both. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks Steve
Where did I find a course that taught me how to use Substance Sampler properly?The scarce (and often old) tutorials from ADOBE alone are not enough.
I am trying to reproduce the jockey in the image in 3D. I managed to get her into 3D form, I even got her boots and pants done, I've run into problems trying to get her silks done. I found the fabric jockey silks are made of - the lyrca - and even created the pattern I want with the colors I want, but I cannot figure out how to get that pattern onto the lycra and the lycra into the silks without the squares becoming all distorted. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Im very new to this and Adobe has been no help at all. Support has disconnected me three times now and never delivered a promised return phone call.
I am struggling to find anything I would be doing with Sampler. Pretty much everything is easier elsewhere for my taste? Today I tried color replace. Have a photogrammetry piece I need to extend to cover bigger area and wanted just to swap image elements colors to be not 100% clone . But there is no advanced AI masking to do it . Like in Photoshop. Tried content aware fill. Also better in Photoshop. Tried Ai generation textures - getting nothing I actually needed , always something super repeating or unrelated. Are there any specific subjects or workflows where Sampler is great ? I'v never tried embroidery . Is this the thing ? Can anyone share an experience of what was easy and good looking straight from Sampler?
Hello, I use adobe's 3D substance sampler to create materials in junction with blender because I'm also a photographer and I like that you can use your own photos and its pretty fast. I have a macbook air with a m2 chip, it's always worked until recently when I've been getting a hardware compatibility issue. I have my mac updated (I still had an error before updating), and I have the latest update for sampler installed. My computer should be able to work with my OS and GPU as stated on the website as well as creative cloud, but the program is extremely buggy and doesn't seem to be working but I can't troubleshoot the issue.
Hello, I'm new to Substance 3D sampler and would love to find some up to date tutorials to learn it.I'm using version 5.0.1 and choose the Materials in minutes option from the home screen.I was trying to follow the tuorial named 'Parquet Material In Minutes with Substance 3D Sampler'The fellow starts with a base material called 'Oak wood' from the starter assets but when I try to find it, it is not there! I'm baffled, whats the point of Adobe showing a tutorial that I cannot follow.Any help would be gratefully appreciated.ThanksPaul
Hello there, i searched in the export documentation section but i found nothing relevant, i would like to know what type of texture is being generated by each channel and if it is possible to edit the outputs, as example i just exported a base color map and the output is an 8 bit file, but whats the color profile? and an output normal map apparently creates a 16 bit output file, and this change from channel to channel, how do i know if a channel is being exported as linear or is gamma corrected? I'm using the Default export preset.

Hi, I'm trying to write a script to process some images but I'm finding the whole process very difficult. My script isnt working and to debug it I do Help->export log and then open the log file and scroll to the bottom. Running the script via console using`"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Substance 3D Sampler\Adobe Substance 3D Sampler.exe" --run-script <script.py>` doesnt work. I just want to write a script that batches a set of images in a directory through a material asset and exports the result. Hi! I have a bunch of product photos (sample attached) - warehouse boxes. I need to turn them into series of 360 degree spin photo. All shots are made around 45 degree above perspective plus i have one shot of top and bottom view. I found the new tool 3D sampler to be advertised as the one, that could turn my photos into 3d object. it would expand my options to use it on further creative processes, however my deadlines are tight, so I don't want to spend too much time, testing it. I'd like to accelarate whole work, not just play and find it's not good enough yet.I would like to hear from someone who already tested this tool - how accurate it is, are results satysfing, is this a tool that make this particular job for me well?What are your opinion about it?Thank you in advance.Mike

Hi, I'm following this Adobe Learn tutorial on Substance Sampler (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXaArGsSuHw), but because of the version update, I can't find any of the explanations. Is there a similar video with the current version? It's proving very difficult to do.Thank you.

Hello! I hope someone can help me with this. I'm experiencing a problem in Sampler where my mesh (sphere) disappears when I apply a material. No matter what image or texture I add, the object vanishes from the viewport. I've added a recording of my screen so you can see the steps I've taken, and a screenshot of my driver/device information. I use Sampler version 5.0.0 I am kind of a noob with these programs and drivers so hope someone can help. thanks 🙂

Hello, I was wondering if it's possible to adjust additional material settings (image attached) through the Python API when using AI for image-to-material conversion. For example, I would like to change the category to "Metal", set the Material type to "Shiny", and reduce the Roughness value. I couldn't find this information in the API documentation, so any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hello, Please note that some version of Nvidia drivers (572.42 and 572.47 for GeForce and 572.16 for RTX pro) make sampler crash at launch. We recommend to roll back to Nvidia driver 566.36. We will update here once new drivers will be released without the issue. Thank you.
Hi AllDoes anyone use the sampler with 3ds max?I have a material from sampler where I should be able to change the color of material in 3ds max but when I paste the hex code the material is not the color of the hexcode...It is very strange...and I tested the Arnold standard material with the same hex code for color and this shows up correct. Look at the attached image...the brown one is from sampler and the red is from arnold...same hexcode for color...The red one is correct... anyone have an ide what is wrong?

Sorry in advance, very new to Substance 3D. I have been following this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWDQcc23IF4 and I was able to recreate his results the first time. But trying it again I am struggling to get Substance to generate the outline of the patch from the bitmap(?) that I inserted. I am sure that I am just missing something basic. And usually I would endevour to learn the program more before i come here with questions. But I am on a tight deadline and need to produce an embroidered patch for my day job asap (also all the tutorials I can find online are from a year ago and the interface looks very different) Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
is it possible to export an embroidery file as an EMB or DST file to be embroidered onto a physical material? this would be incredibly useful if it could.
