I got a random charge at the neginning of this year on my card from adobe, but I don't remember signing up for a trial or subscribing to anything. I logged into my account and checked my plans to find I have none and zero history of orders or invoices.

Talk to Adobe customer support first to make sure that you don't have a subscription under your account. Do you have multiple accounts?

If you're certain you haven't subscribed to any plans, then your credit card or bank account has been compromised. You'll have to talk to the credit card issuer or to your bank as soon as possible and change your passwords for both the credit card and the bank account.

there are 3 ways to contact adobe; chat, phone and twitter:

chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies, and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

phone:
https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html

twitter:
tweet @AdobeCare

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam, https://community.adobe.com/t5/using-the-community-discussions/staying-safe-in-the-adobe-support-com...

I've just seen a £50 charge on my card, I installed adobe creative the other day and only went ahead with the free trial, cancelled any auto renewal etc. Checked multiple times and I don't have any active plans or products...let me know if you find a solution. Also can't seem to find a way to get through to support chat, just takes me in a circle around forums etc.

 cancelled any auto renewal etc.

By @Moon212

There is no way to opt out of auto-renewal.  You have to manually cancel.
