Feedback on Adobe Express UI Update (June 2025)

New Here ,
Jun 21, 2025 Jun 21, 2025

Since the June 19, 2025 update, I’ve experienced several interface issues that are making the platform harder to use. I’m using the web version of Adobe Express on a MacBook running macOS Sonoma 14.5.

Illegible Font Preview: When choosing a font, the text preview inside the font selection pop-up becomes hard to read. This happens consistently when clicking the “Text” tool and selecting a font, the overlapping layout and low contrast make it difficult to see what you’re choosing.

Faint Sidebar Icons: The left-hand sidebar (with icons like Templates, Media, Elements) has very low contrast. On my screen, the icons are hard to distinguish against the grey background. This impacts navigation speed and usability.

Bulky black toolbar buttons: The new black button row at the top of the canvas (Resize, Theme, Quick Replace, etc.) feels visually heavy and takes up too much space. It’s distracting when designing, especially on smaller laptop screens.

The expected result is a clean, readable, and focused design workspace. The actual result is a cluttered and difficult-to-navigate UI that slows down my workflow. I would appreciate it if Adobe could consider options to improve font legibility, increase sidebar icon contrast, and allow users to hide or minimize the top button bar. Please feel free to contact me for more feedback. Thank you!

I also find that the Adobe Express design is problematic. The UI interface buttons and options are too big, they take most of my screen and I can barely see the document in front of me. They are an eyesore and I cannot fill in documents like this! Make it SMALLER! Or at least, let us choose the size of the UI. When I zoom in/out it only affects my documentm and there's no option to increase visibility of my document.

Also, I'm perplexed with the removal of editing features from Adobe Acrobat and adding them to Adobe Express. Editing was much easier with older versions of Adobe Acrobat, which were offering more stability for the app use, as well as more features. Adobe Express, I don't find it so practical when it comes to finalized documents/forms. And it feels like this app, which is more suitable for the design of social media posts, somehow is taking away features from the once official pdf editor. It is not very practical, it is not so easy to use.

It is very unfortunate that Adobe Acrobat loses features to this, is unstable and constantly crashes, gets stuck and has to be shut down and reopened. And really, I can't work on Adobe Express on docs as the interface is not user-friendly.

@Chene_Van Vuuren0552, can you please confirm once if you get the same Adobe Express UI when working from any browser, instead of the progressive app that youre working on and shared images of.

Please try in incoginto/private browsing mode and share the obervations.
