Adobe Express download stuck at 90%

Community Beginner ,
Mar 17, 2024 Mar 17, 2024

Hello, I'm trying to download images from Express and the download will quickly progress to 90% and then get stuck and will never download. There's no error message.

These are images created from 'text to image'. I thought it might be due to being out of generative credits but my plan should allow 1000?

I have tried multiple files which all have the same problem and have tried clearing cache and restarting browser.

Hey @elena_stanciu6519, Welcome to our Adobe Express Community!

Can you share the project URL via community DM so we can test it? Do you see any blank layers in the project?

Also, to save time, I'd suggest that as a workaround, you download the project as PNG or JPG and then convert it to PDF using the Adobe Express Quick action Convert to PDF tool, so your work doesn't get hampered.

Do let us know!

Best,

Amitej

Hi darren@nexamortgage

Sorry for your frustration with this. Would it be possible to share an example file with the issue with us to pass on to our developers?

Best,
Dave

New Adobe Express user here and also seeing my PDF stuck at 90%. I've cleared my browser's cookies and cache, cleared all extensions, and even tried a whole new browser altogether. Is this not a good tool for creating PDFs?

Hi @jocelyn_8080,

Welcome to the community! We're sorry to hear about this.

Thanks for trying those steps! Since the issue persists, please provide:

Your device type (Windows, Mac, iPad, etc.)
The browser you're using (Chrome, Edge, Safari, etc.)
The size of the file you're trying to download
A screenshot of any error messages (if applicable)

In the meantime, try these additional steps:

Check for Adobe Express Updates – Ensure you're using the latest version.
Try Downloading in a Different Format – Export as PNG/JPG first, then convert to PDF using Acrobat or another tool.
Duplicate the Project & Try Again – Sometimes, a fresh copy resolves stuck downloads.

If the issue still occurs, we can escalate this to our technical team for further investigation. Let us know! :rocket:

Best regards,

^MM

Hello @mahmoud_5524. Even though I'm not the original poster, I'm also having similar issues but with a PNG file.
Details on what I am using:

 Operating system: Windows 11
Browser: Opera GX
File Size: 31,193 KB

No Error message besides the loading screen

Hopefully, this is enough, and I have tried to replicate the image.

Hi

@Banana_SAS

,

Thanks for sharing the project file. I've shared it with our product team. Once I hear from them, I'll keep you posted.

Meanwhile, can you share the console logs from the browser you were using to download. For more info on how to get that check this link- https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496199434765-View-and-save-your-browser-console-logs

Also, share the project file with me via private message with edit access so I can try downloading it. Private messages should be accessible from the envelope in the top right corner. This should be the direct URL- https://community.adobe.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage

Tarun

Same here, constantly getting stuck in 90%. Maybe, after several reloads it actually downloads the file.

Win 11 and Chrome with latest updates - this is clearly a server side issue

Hi Tarun,

actually No. Your instructions for getting console logs are really lacking.
Please provide a simple step-by-step guide. Especially when we consider the
fact that the "preparing download" bar is totally on Adobe's side, browser
on user's end does nothing for it. It's a server side issue.
Please use "send logs" as a tool for proper situations only.

This has been happning to me pretty regularly in the last 6-8 months. It doesnt JUST happen on my more intricate designs either.

What wroks for me: Close out of the download window stuck at 90%, Refresh the page (refresh anyway if a pop-up says anything not saved will be undone), Download again.

I agree, this shouldn't be an ongoing issue, but this seems to work for me every time.

Hey @Claudio37716230vy12, thanks for reaching out!

We need some more info on this issue. Have you tried working with a different browser, in private/incognito browsing mode, or switching to a different internet connection to see if that makes any difference?

Is this issue unique to this project, or does it affect other projects? Is it specific to the file type you're exporting, such as PDF, PNG, JPG, or MP4? Are you willing to share the project with us to investigate it? We'd need edit access to the project as well.

Please share your observations and let us know about it.

Thanks!

Amitej

Hello @

Thank you for reaching out, and we're really sorry you're experiencing this issue.

To help us get to the bottom of it, could you please confirm whether you're using Adobe Express on a desktop browser or the mobile app? If you're on desktop, we recommend trying to clear your browser cache, use an incognito/private window, switch to a different browser (like Chrome, Firefox, or Edge), or duplicate your project and try exporting from the new version.

If none of these work, please let us know so we can assist you better.

Thanks again for your patience,

Chaimaa

Hello @ibelive, thank you for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing this.

Here are a few steps you can try:

  • Clear your browser's cache and cookies if you're using Adobe Express on the web.

  • Switch to a different browser (like Chrome, Edge, or Safari) and check if the issue persists.

  • Ensure your app is fully updated if you’re on a mobile device.

  • Try duplicating your project from “My Files” and see if you can work on the duplicate.

  • Disable any browser extensions temporarily that might interfere with uploads or downloads.

If the issue continues, could you please share a screenshot of the error? This will help us investigate faster.

Thanks,

Chaimaa
