Regular Nunito font is not correct

New Here ,

The Regular Nunito font (not Sans) is not correct. The letter L (lowercase) does not have the serif but it should have.

Correct:

Any one else is having the same issue?

Please refer to the Nunito documentation on Google website: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Nunito?preview.text=lhico&preview.text_type=custom

I just noticed this problem too. After checking the fonts files, I found that Adobe Fonts is using an older version (v3.001) of the font available at Google Fonts (v3.602), all the letters have some differences but it is more visible on the lowercase L and T.

Hi @lhicoio and @Silas Yamakami,

Thank you for your patience.

Thank you, guys, for your fantastic attention to detail and reporting. I had a look as well, and it seems indeed incorrect.

I've passed it on to our engineering team and will get back to you as soon as it's resolved.

Thanks again.

I have a licensing client who uses this as one of their branded fonts and the confict between the Adobe and google versions is now costing my company hours of work to resolve, since over a hundred product photos have the incorrect font appearance and the font formatting breaks completely as soon as you try to edit it. Thanks Adobe, always great when your mistakes cost me time and money.

Hi @Lionfishing,

We completely understand how frustrating and time-consuming this must be, and we're truly sorry for the inconvenience this font conflict has caused in your workflow.

The issue you're describing sounds like a font variant mismatch between the Adobe version of Nunito and the one used elsewhere (like from Google Fonts). This can lead to formatting issues when switching between platforms or when editing existing designs.

Here are a few steps that might help resolve or minimize the disruption:

  1. Ensure Font Consistency: Check that the exact same font version (including weight and style) is being used throughout your project. You may need to manually reassign the font in Adobe Express or Creative Cloud to ensure consistency.

  2. Convert Text to Shapes (if possible): For designs that are finalized, converting text to vector outlines can prevent further formatting issues — especially useful for product photos.

  3. Clear Local Font Caches: If you’re switching between different sources of Nunito, clearing your system’s font cache may help avoid rendering inconsistencies.

  4. Check Font Settings in Creative Cloud: You can manage activated fonts in the Creative Cloud app to ensure only the correct version of Nunito is active.

If you'd like help checking or correcting the font across your files, we’re here to assist and would be happy to support further — just let us know what works best for you.

Thank You MM, it is what it is. I'm in process of updating now and relying on auto activation to sub it in from Adobe Fonts after removing the local version from my machine to avoid conflicts. It seems to be working. As soon as the files are finalized we flatten them to submit and eventually post on approval but we retain our layered files in case edits are needed. These just happened to be built at the wrong time with the previous font iteration, and the employee who built the original file configuration is not here to edit them. As the AD I draw the short straw of having it fall apart on my desk. Thank You for the suggestions.

Hi @Lionfishing,

You're very welcome — and thank you for the thoughtful response. It sounds like you’ve taken a smart and thorough approach under tough circumstances. Removing the local version and relying on auto-activation from Adobe Fonts should help stabilize things going forward.

If you need any assistance with batch-updating or troubleshooting remaining files, feel free to reach out — we’re here to help however we can. You're doing great work navigating this, especially stepping in midstream.
