After effects keeps crashing on startup. Nothing i do is fixing it. Someone please help fast.

After effects keeps crashing on startup. Older versions wont work, re-setting prefrences wont work, 

removing plugins wont work, i have tried everything i could to make this work but it still keeps crashing. 

I have tried re installing after effects, did a complete reinstall of the creative cloud app, went to the directory this error shows and tried to find abnormalities in it but NOTHING IS WORKING. I have assignments to submit. Someone please help me please.

Very likely you have a third-party import/export codec installed that is causing AE to crash on startup. Take a look at what you have installed in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0 and see if there are any plugins in there.

There is a folder named mediacore with a file called "dummy.txt" in it. I dont think thats what causing the problem. Still i deleted it and tried to open AE but the crash still persists.

Is there an "Adobe Crash Reporter" window that shows up after the crash occurs, one that you could fill in and submit to us?

Can you confirm what version of AE you submitted the crash report from? (Help -> About to get the version and build number).

I spent last evening trying to find the crash report but it doesn't appear it has come through to our backend. 

 

Can you please recreate the crash and instead of sending it, click the View Report link in the crash dialog. That should open a folder containing a .dmp file. If you can put that somewhere I can download, that should help me understand the cause of the crash.
