Hi. I am new to AE. I am getting along quite well and enjoying it.
I finished with an animation in 3D and I would like to add a second one (zoom/detail) on top of the one I already did. Basically I have one animation running and I would like at a certain frame to add a "window" on top of it that shows my second animation with a closer camera to the product.
I would also like to make this second footage to slide from the side. So the detail animation should be animated to appear from the side.
I guess it is possible and not super advance to make this, but not sure how to do it. If anyone did this before or have any tip I would really appreciate it.
Kind regards

Thank you. I am going through the material. It could be helpful to understand what type of category or feature I am looking for. My guess was "understanding" layers, but they do not show how to do what I am looking for. The material posted on learn how section seems to be either effects in 2D or adding tiltles on the footage. I did not find one that talks about adding footage on footage. Might be I could use a shape layer to mask a video. I will try that. Thank you

Here you have the information you need to understand how to make that with the Layer Properties: Anchor Point, Position, Scale, Rotation and Opacity.

In addition I suggest you to learn about Masking because you probably going to need masked the clip to give it some form more width or height without deform it.
