Adobe After Effects 2022 is stuck on Initializing Required Components. It's worked fine for months now. Then randomly last night, I quit out of AE. Attempted to re-open it and it was stuck on the splash screen: "Initializing Required Components." I tried to google the solution but didn't find what I wanted. Someone suggested it had to do with a lot of fonts being installed. And I had installed a weird arrow font that day, So I deleted a bunch of fonts. Restarted my Apple computer. The issue persisted. I took the media core folder and dragged it to the desktop. Tried to go back into AE and the issue was still there. I got live support to remote into my computer. They put ".old" text at the end of some folders that had to do with settings, they did some other stuff like force quit out of coresync in the activity monitor. and i was back in! So I dragged the media core folder back to where it belonged and the issue came back instantly! I removed the media core folder. that didnt work. So the person remoting into my computer struggled for a good hour or more to make AE open again. He told me that it was a root user issue and that I needed to start a new user account on the computer. I said no we're not going to do that. That's not the issue. I dont have time to rebuild all my settings etc on a new user. Please repeat the steps you did earlier to make AE work again. He ended up wiping my entire Adobe Suite and reinstalling from scratch. And the first time or so it didn't work but it eventually got me back into After Effects. So after he left I reinstalled all my plugins from scratch. and was using after effects. I quit After Effects. went to bed. Came back in the morning and it's back to being stuck on this Initializing Required Components. I updated my OS to 12.3 this morning... (yesterday I was on monterey 12.1)..... And the issue persisted. I uninstalled After Effects. Re-installed. and it's still stuck on Initializing Required Components. I'm pretty sure the issue has to do with installed plug-ins but this hasnt been an issue for months now. Anyone else have this issue?
the issue got worse. Whatever they tried to do, to go in this morning and fix AE messed up Premiere. ...This suddenly happened to me today.
Like you said, booting in safe mode and fixing permissions using the Disk Aid utility seems to do the trick.
Thanks for sticking around and sharing your own solution.
It happened to me last night. After a few unsuccesfully tried, i just rebooted my mac on safe mode, it suddenly worked. Then i go back to normal mode and everything seem fine.

So I ran disk utilty myself. It hinted that it wanted me to fix something in recovery mode instead of normal mode. I did that and got the green checkmark. left recovery mode, Returned to normal mode and had all kinds of things wrong when I ran disk utility. So I restarted again. Ran disk utility and got the green checkmark agian. So I fired up Premiere and this time when premiere goes do you want to re-open the project that was unexpectedly closed last time..... i chose yes for the first time instead of no, because thats one option I havent tried yet. and premiere opened fine this time. same with After effects. maybe it was a permissions issue. but the adobe reps went and uninstalled all my fonts and kept telling me that I needed to create a new root user when I knew that was not the issue and it would create too much work to start a new root user and have to rebuild that whole profile from scratch.

Thanks for your post, I just lost a half day to this issue... so infuriating!
In the end force quitting coresync whilst the crash was happening seems to have fixed it for now.
I will try first aid in disk utility when I have more time.
I've got so used to fixing my own problems I had no idea Adobe even offered support any more, but sounds like they're just following advice on here!

Hi tried all of the troubleshooting, turned off fonts, ran first aid, re-installed regularly and with Adobe Clean. Has anyone figured out a solution for this?

I've listed my solution. you need to run disk utility not just on the normal level, but on the safe boot level too i think?

I did try that, didn't work either. The only thing that worked for me was to restart in safe mode. Hope that helps

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CC and delete the Camera Raw.plugin file
Solved for me when the crash log was reporting MediaCore.
