New Here ,
Jul 16, 2021 Jul 16, 2021

I installed the video driver to the correct version according to the manuals

And after that AE started hanging while "Initializing MediaCore"

didnt found any solutions on the web. So uninstalled the driver and it started to work again.

i get the not compatible video driver but at least I can work.

Any recommendations. here is my compatibility report

Any help appreciated.

Hi jorgev56224007,

Sorry for your issue.

After Effects getting stuck on Initializing MediaCore usually means that there are third-party plug-ins in the MediaCore folder that are preventing After Effects to work properly. Try removing the plug-ins from the MediaCore folder temporarily (Location - C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore). Once done, update the GPU driver and try to launch After Effects.

Let us know if it helps.

Thanks,
Nishu

Try uninstalling third-party plug-ins from the Windows Control panel if you've installed any. If that's not the case, try resetting the preferences of After Effects and changing the permissions after updating the driver.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Nishu

I also installed a newer version of the Video Driver

installed version 27.20.100.8681 dated 5/9/2020

on https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/drivers-video-win-intel.html

it recommends driver version 27.20.100.8476 dated 7/8/2020

still hanging with this one.
