As the title says, I have been experiencing CRASHES and resets since updating to AE 2024. I think it might be because I'm using a previous project template, but I'm not using any third-party plugins. The strange thing is that the problem continued to happen when I downgraded back to the 2023 version .
I have used cleanup tool from adobe to delete all Adobe application data, but it is still the same.
Also, sometimes when I use ME 2024 to render AE's files (usually more than 1 minute), ME will most likely crash. I don’t know why.
hardware list :
Windows 11 with Newest update
Intel Core i9-13900K
GeForce RTX 4090
48GB DDR5 6400MHz RAM x2
Samsung SSD 980 Pro 1TB & 2TB
If anyone experienced the same situation and has a solution, please share it with me, thank you.
Hi @ISBONNY,
Thank you for reporting this issue. You mentioned that you aren't using any third-party plug-ins in this project, but do you have any installed on the machine? Many third-party plug-ins can cause issues simply by being present on the machine.
When you experience the crash, have you been able to submit them via the Crash Reporter dialog along with your email?
If possible, would you be able to create a log file and send it to us? You can enable the logging via Help > Enable Loggin

Hi @ISBONNY,
Thank you for reporting this issue. You mentioned that you aren't using any third-party plug-ins in this project, but do you have any installed on the machine? Many third-party plug-ins can cause issues simply by being present on the machine.

If possible, would you be able to create a log file and send it to us? You can enable the logging via Help > Enable Logging, then once you've encountered a crash, send the .txt files found in the "logs" folder of the After Effects preferences. They should be named "After Effects Log.txt" and "After Effects Log-last.txt".
Thanks again for reporting this issue and for any further information you can provide,

Thank you for your reply. I have sent the Log file to you via private message, please check it , thank you very much !
And yes, I have other third-party plug-in on my computer, but it is for Premiere Pro, and everything worked fine until I update to 2024 Ver AE.

Sorry for the delayed response. Can you install the latest version of After Effects and see if the issue persists?
Let us know. I am moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for now.
Thanks,
Nishu

hey brother, i have a solution:
turn off GPU acceleration and see if the problem is fixed. In After Effects, click File > Project Settings, click the Video Rendering and Effects tab, and set the Use option to a non-GPU acceleration.
