When importing one aep into another aep, links to parent layers are missing and all layers are positioned at [0,0] in the comp.

Some more specific info about your project might be useful like actual layer naming and what is linked to what. A screenshot tells a lot. That said, I think there is a bug with this one way or the otehr, but the issue itself is sporadic and hard to replicate. Some users have no problems at all. Therefore providing as much info as possible could provide some clues.

Hi hugom46900261,
Thanks for writing in.
Could you share more details on your workflow? We're investigating an issue where if a file is imported more than 2 times into a project, the parent linking breaks. Is it the same at your end?
Let us know.
Thanks,
Nishu

Hi Nishu,
I'm working on a reel with various sections. Initially I had each section as its own aep, and then when I got to the stage of collecting all the sections into a master aep, every comp had the nulls at Pos 0,0 and none of the layers were parented to the nulls. It wasn't after multiple times but on the very first time I'd import them.

Has this issue been resolved?
Same problem. Importing a Project file into another project, every time, the imported project composition layers have lost all their parent and links and null/layer placed in weird positions. This is killing my work progress, it's taking 45 minutes to import one scene correctly into a project!

Do you have any expressions for positions? If you have any expressions that link to other comps, these can be thrown if you have comps of the same name anywhere?
