ae crash

i'm using adobe after effect CC2017, while I was editing the app crashed and although I have auto save on the app doesn't save the project for me. I've spent hours on that project and i'm really disappointed so pls help if you can!

Your auto-saves are somewhere*. By default, they save in the same location your original project file is, but it's possible to save them to a custom location. Check Preferences > Auto-Save to see if that's the case.

*If you never saved your project file, at all, auto-save doesn't have anywhere to be auto-saving. So... if you worked for hours and never once saved manually, you're out of luck. Consider it a lesson learned. In any creative software - particularly powerful & complex ones like AE - s
