AE Field Order Import setting gone from Preferences

Does anyone know why the Field Order setting was removed from the preferences in 2018?

We've got a lot of footage where we need it to be interpreted as Upper Field First, we used to be able to set it in Preferences to automatically do that.

In 2018, the option's gone (or it's hidden where we can't see it).

Any ideas?

Adobe cannot remove something that doesn't exist. 😉
You're alluding to the Interpret Footage feature/dialog. Look in there and not in Prefs and rightly so too! The Project Panel is for setting application-wide settings. The Interpret Footage is for specific footage items.

To automatically set 'prefs' when you import specific footage, you'll have to edit the Interpretation Rules.txt file. Ensure you make a backup and Google for more specific info.
