After Effects 15.1 April update, no longer working

I updated my Macbook and my Adobe files yesterday on April 3rd, 2018. Tried to open my project I was working on before the update, and It loaded fine but once you click on anything it automatically quits. It presents an error message and a crash report but currently After Effects is not usable.

Any tips or feedback would be much appreciated

Same for me. Disgraceful upgrade. I'm now going to stay one year behind and stick to 2018 when 2019 comes out. I'll upgrade to 2019 in 2020.

Fed up with wasting my time on fixes, workarounds and bug testing.
