I have the creative cloud license, and After Effects 24.1 installed. I am using a Surface Laptop Studio and usually have an eGPU plugged in. Its a Razer Core X Chroma with a Nvidia 3060ti. I have both Nvidia and Intel drivers installed on my computer.
When the eGPU is plugged in, the software works fine, using the GPU for acceleration and everything. The problem arises when I dont have the computer doced to the eGPU. When I open AE, or a few other Adobe software that uses GPU acceleration, the software will open to the splash screen and crash. for AE specifically, it gets to 'initializing mediacore' for a few seconds before crashing.
I think it's the same issue from this post because I have Nvidia drivers but no Nvidia GPU plugged in. But I cant just uninstall the drivers like in that instance.
Any ideas?

I chatted with a live agent early February to dicuss this issue. We diagnosed that it's because I have Nvidia drivers, but when my external GPU isnt plugged in, its not my active GPU. My integrated Intel GPU is. So I was given the solution to uninstall my Nvidia drivers when I need to use Adobe when I am not connected to my eGPU. I still find this solution not good, so I told him to make a bug report so it can eventually get fixed. I have my programs all up to date, it is still present. So it has not been fixed.
