I have been able to create complex videos with high resolution on my pc multiple times, however when I began a new composition this morning my After Effects instantly crashed, restarted my computer, turned off my monitors, and gave me an error about how my GPU was not powerful enough (even though it was only audio on a black screen with no effects applied). After searching for solutions online, many suggested I switch to Mercury Software only. Promptly doing this did not fix the issue however and I was still given the same warning about how my GPU was not powerful enough. After restarting my pc multiple times, checking if my drivers were up to date, allocating more ram, and messing with random settings that posts suggested to me, I have gotten nowhere! I cannot play less than a second of video before my monitors turn off and the entire composition turns white, showing me the same warning again.
I am not sure what info is needed to understand where the issue is, but I have 16GB of total RAM (I ended up allocating basically as much as I could to After Effects, and it still crashed). I also have an NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3070 graphics card, alongside an Intel Core i7-10700F processor.
I refuse to believe my computer is simply not strong enough because having 14GB of allocated ram to load a simple black screen should not be crashing my computer. I have never had this problem with After Effects before and I'm not sure what to do, because all of the previous posts on this issue seem to all appear with complex issues and I have tried all the solutions I could find!

If it just started, then something on your system has changed. Perhaps a Windows Update, perhaps a setting. A crash log would certainly help, so start by sifting through your event viewer. Also check your device manager. Perhaps something is flagged. And of course the usual standard measures apply: Clean out the disk caches and temp files, reboot the machine, verify all settings.
