I was working on a project and randomly I opened after effects and I got that error message and then immedietly crashes. I have cleared the cache, restarted my mac and those did not fix it. Does anyone know what the issue is and a fix?

Sorry to hear about the crash. Does happen only when you try to open your project? Try launching After Effects by clicking its icon and creating a new project. See if that works. If it does, try importing your existing project into a new project.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

it seemed to be a issue with the 3rd party plugins i have as i have disabled 3rd party plugins and is currently running it in safe mode, its been open for about 30 minutes without crashing which as of before it hadnt ran past 10 minutes without crashing, however this has just started happening. I have had these plugins for a long time and they have been usid in other projects with no crashing issue before. And there is alot of aspects within this current project that uses those plugins, how do i go about being able to use them again. Is there a fix?

Try this: open After Effects (not in Safe Mode) and go to Effects > Manage Effects > disable your plug-ins one by one and see if disabling them helps. I understand it is a time taking process, but it'll help you understand which plug-in is causing the issue and troubleshoot accordingly.

Let us know how it goes.
