After the latest update for CC 2018, After Effects nor Premier will import several QT files. I receive "After Effects Error:Source file has no importable streams" I have a couple of workstations I haven't updated yet and they don't have an issue. What's the fix for this for the current update?

The exciting bit is that AFX can still export QT animation codec, and import those files, but any of my older QT animation codec files give this error.
I swear I looked through all the documentation when they were saying there was going to be some issues with old codec, and no one said Animation codec in QT was on the chopping board.
What a freak'n pain.
I have 3 episodes of an animated web series with about 800 QT master files...
EDIT:
I downloaded an earlier version of Media Encoder v 11.1.4 and converted my shots to MXF files. I placed them in the same folder as the last mov files.
When I replaced(ctrl + h) the mov's with the mxf's I got the same error. So, I made a new folder called MXFs and placed all of the new files in there. Now when I replace (ctrl + h) it works fine.

The new Adobe suite has been facing this problem even from the 2017 version.
There is a solution - Install Handbrake and convert the mov files to mp4 or something similar. It will work then.
However if your video files contain any alpha channel, then have a look at this tutorial :

Hope it helps.
