I'm not sure how to describe the issue, every other time I start After Effects menus opened from the menu bar (File, Edit, View, etc) are offset to the left. The mouse cursor is also offset down and to the right of whatever I want to click on. If clicking in a menu bar menu it is offset down and to the left plus the offset of the menu opened. The mouse behavior is also incorrect. It always registers a click as a drag and seems to act as if the option key is always pressed, regardless if it is actually pressed or not. For instance, if I click a layer, the green + symbol will appear, and it will add a duplicate layer above whatever I clicked on.

Without even the most basic system info and screenshots this isn't going anywhere. From input device issues to AE not correctly detecting your screen configuration in the first place this could be anything.

The system info is as-follows:
MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)
2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9
64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB
MacOS Big Sur 11.0.1
There are no other screens connected other than the built-in display. I have a logitech MX Anywhere 2X mouse paired with it but the problem ocurrs regardless if the mouse is on and connected or turned off and I'm just using the track pad.
I have tried to get screenshots but when the issue occurs the screen capture does not show the menus at all. It does not allow me to capture the mouse drag and drop behavior either.
