After Effects opens outside of desktop window

I use a Macbook Pro and set my display scale to More Space. I have no problems with Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere or Animate, but when I open After Effects, it opens off-screen with only the bottom right portion of the window visible so that it is impossible to move or scale.

Changing the Display mode to Default snaps it back into place, but I do not want to have to work with a magnified view of the screen like this, especially when I am on a 15" laptop.

I have not seen any good answers online or in the forums about this issue.

This seems to be more of an Apple problem. But anyway with your display mode set to Default where it is snapped into place, what happens if you scale your After Effects window down, and then switch it back to More Space? Does it position it in a way that you can grab it? After you do this once, After Effects should open in the same window size and position next time (at least mine does).

If that doesn't work, you can drag the bottom right corner of the window all the way to the other side of your screen, which will make it ridiculously big. Next, grab that same corner, and while holding the Option key on your keyboard, drag back up. This will scale the opposite end of the window the same way. You may have to repeat this process a few times until the top of you window is on screen. The objective of this is to get the top of your window low enough so that you can reposition it.

Again, after you do this once, it should save by default.

Good luck with things!

This happen to me just yesterday. I was able to fix it by changing the resolution scaling on my desktop.
