Nothing wrong. Crooked scale values simply cause resampling artifacts that even the best interpolation can't entirely smooth out. You can't defeat the underlying math. Even happens in Photoshop or other graphics programs. It has been forever this way and the use of hardware accelerated functions everywhere has made those artifacts even more pronounced.
