After Effects stops when trying to render project

I have updated after effects - I no longer can render my projects - even the most basic. It starts then crashes. All was ok before I updated it. I have updated my drivers and still it crashes. Help....

I have windows 10 pc - all has been fine until I updated after effects. Unfortunately I'm not a pc expert, so will need guidance thx

Do you get an error message when After Effects crashes?

Have you tried rendering via AME?

I don't know what ame is. iv been using after effects for a few years with no problems.

Adobe Media Encoder. It's an alternative to the Render Queue. Give it a shot.

Had a same issue now after updating the April 2018 version of Adobe apps... when ever I add a composition in render que... the afx stops working... without any error or msg or anything... found a work around which is to add it to AME que and then render... it works fine but yet AFX render is messed up... I dont know why adobe has to damage the perfectly working modules of there softwares...
