Hi folks,
I'm currently trying to align imported layers from Illustrator within After Effects using the Overlord extension. However, instead of aligning when using the alignment tool, it is only nudging the layers closer to the desired alignment. The align tool can be continuously pressed to keep nudging the layers closer and closer, but never reaching actual alignment.
Is this a regular thing with the overlord extension, or am I missing a solution? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Start your alignment in AI by turning on Snap To Pixel in the View menu. If you want that the ending position, things will be aligned when you import as a composition retaining layer size. Just set the ending keyframe first and then move the CTI back and set the starting position. I always create my AI artwork for video with the layers in their Hero position, then animate backward.

Thanks Rick! That would be a much better workflow for Overlord than I had attempted here. I was working with a ton of imported svgs that opened individual illustrator files, so I had assumed I'd save some time importing from each individual instance even though they had different artboard sizes. I'll be sure to try that.
