AME Error Code (-1609629695). Unable to export After Effects Composition with Puppet Tool

Hi,

I'm working on my MacBook Air 11in Mid-2013 and every time I try to use my layer with the puppet effect, it shows the error "Cached Preview needs 2 or more frames to playback". I cleared as much memory as I could and moved my disk cache to my external 4TB SSD drive. Nothing worked. So I tried exporting it in AME and I got this error in the log:

Writing with exporter: H.264

Writing to file: file/to/export.mp4

Writing file type: H264

Around timecode: 00;00;00;15 - 00;00;00;23

Rendering at offset: 0.500 seconds

Component: H.264 of type Exporter

Selector: 9

Error code: -1609629695

This error came up when the exporting came to part where the layer with the puppet tool was. What can I do to fix this?

Thanks,

Nathan

Those are bugs in the tool itself causing broken callback loops with certain temporal evaluations. Try rendering to an image sequence and then compile it into a clip via AME.

We've noticed this a lot recently with comps containing puppet tool with newer versions of AE, older versions would render the same comp fine. Seems Adobe have made some 'updates' recently that have broken things.

Gee, do you think?

I guess that's why that's why the biggest owner of TV stations on Planet Earth refuses to approve any CC 2018 application for employee use.
