Blurry Render

Community Beginner ,
Dec 06, 2018 Dec 06, 2018

Ok guys, I have not changed anything or updated. I am running AE 2018 When I render in H.264 match source adaptive (1.1 & 4.3) my panelview looks crisp but all outputs are pixelated and blurry. I have no idea why its now doing this after rendering thousands of videos in portrait modes it looks terrible. A 2 minute file at high bitrate is now only about 2mb?? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Guys are right. What we need to see is settings of preset that you use:

Are you using AME for H264 output?

Without a screenshot of those render settings, we can only guess what's going on.

Your Bitrate settings is what you'll want to be looking at - this is the most critical setting which dictates the quality of your output/render. 10 MBps is a suitably good setting for most use-cases. Conventional wisdom suggests a setting of between 22.5-27.5 MBps to obtain a render/output that is lossless relative to what you see/have in your timeline. Once you've accertained a preferred Bitrate Setting for a specific resolution, save the setting as a preset.

You need to post a screen grab of the compression settings, ie the data rate being used.

If your file is coming out at 2MB then clearly it is being very heavily compressed. Perhaps something has gone wrong with your compression preset.   Click on the Match Source-high bitrate text in AME and go into the video compression settings. Assuming you're creating content for a social media platform, make sure your data rate is at least 5Mb per second.

Is it correct, that your comp is 1000x1000px? This is a weird format for video.

And please, learn something about codecs.

It just look as some harsh compression. So as martinr84659894 said. Show us your render settings and how do you export. With AE or by AME. To h264 in mov container or h264 in mp4 container?

Hi, AME for output. The thing is, I have been using this system without fault for 3 years and now it suddenly goes nuts?
