Can you save a single composition from an After Effects project so it can be opened inside a second project? Deleting a couple hundred files from a large AEP to reduce it to a single comp is not realistic. Just need to move one composition into another project where it would be useful without having to migrate the entire original project. Reconnect the media and done. Possible?
Select the composition, do a File --> Dependencies --> Collect project for the selected comp only and export a reduced project for import into your other. Additional "Consolidate Assets" steps beforehand may be necessary and a bit of manual cleanup might still not hurt.

Wow. That is not intuitive. Definitely would not have put those steps together without your help.
Thanks so much! I have wasted a lot of time staring at projects opening, importing and saving through the years. Thank you!
